They were calm, happy, and clearly engaged while I was gone — which says everything. Charlotte is incredibly sweet and attentive, and she went above and beyond in every way. She kept my house completely spotless, left the kindest note, and even had calming music and a dog channel playing on the TV when I arrived home so the dogs were comfortable and relaxed. It was such a thoughtful touch after a long trip. I felt totally at ease knowing my dogs and my home were in such great hands. About: Hi, we're both animal lovers who grew up with great pups! Theresa grew up with golden retrievers (Magellan and Rowan) and A.K. grew up with an Old English Sheepdog (Seymour). We both have experience with dogs from puppy to senior. Growing up, A.K. also dogsat for multiple families in his neighborhood. Theresa is a runner and would love to (with your permission) take your dog for a fun walk, jog, or adventure to the dog park. If your pup is more of a couch potato, A.K. will be their best friend. Our friends and family have lots of dogs so we're comfortable and familiar interacting with various breeds of dogs (Pugs, Poodles, Shiba Inus, German Shepherds, Bernedoodles just to name a few). **We require a 2 night minimum for bookings besides for repeat clients** We both have some flexibility to work from home and are organized, diligent, and honest. Due to the nature of our careers and just having built a house we know how key customer service, safety, and communication are and we're always available by phone, email, text, app, etc. Our home is close to Midtown and Downtown Detroit and we designed it with our future dog(s) in mind! We have a dog wash in our mud room, a fenced in back/side yard, and a dedicated lit, sleeping/crate space on the 1st floor under the stairs (kinda like Harry Potter!) Our home has central air and all flooring is tile so any fluffy dogs will stay cool during the warmer months.

About: Hi! I’ve fostered both dogs and cats throughout all four years of college, including caring for sick pets and administering medications when needed. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—so much so that my family genuinely thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I’m currently a medical student and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I live in the heart of Downtown Detroit and is walking distance from Comerica Park, Ford Field, Campus Martius Park, Fox Theater, The Filmore & Little Caesars Arena. I live in the heart of downtown Detroit and I enjoy walking my dog several times a day. We go to the doggie parks that are in close proximity to the apartment, and we have a dog park at my apartment complex that’s great for meet and greets with other dogs. I would care for pets in someone else’s home by respecting the area in which the dog is most comfortable meaning changing pee, pee pads, making sure their food and water bowls are full. And I will make sure that their dog is treated as if the owner were at home with lots of belly rubs. My parents frequently adopted and fostered both cats and dogs, so I’ve spent years caring for all kinds of personalities and breeds—from tiny Chihuahuas to Basset Hounds and high-energy Huskies. Although I can’t currently have pets of my own, caring for other people’s animals has become my favorite way to stay connected to what I love most.
