Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.

Michelle was so incredibly wonderful, I honestly feel like I have hit the jackpot with finding her and her husband. My Griff was so happy he didn't even realize I was done. Hands down best experience I have had thus far! Will be a repeat customer!

We are so grateful to have found Brian to care for our two very special dogs, both of whom come with their own quirks and sensitivities. Our sweet and playful pup, Abbi, gets anxious in new environments, while our 13-year-old, Hank, is mostly sweet and playful but can also be a bit reactive when startled, especially by fast movements or unfamiliar people. Brian was incredible with both of them. Hank warmed up to him almost immediately (something that rarely happens) and seeing him snuggling his head into Brian's hand during one of the daily video updates was a highlight for us. Brian’s calm, confident presence clearly helped both of our dogs feel safe and happy. They had plenty of space to explore, lots of outdoor playtime, and were cared for with patience and attentiveness. In addition to putting our dogs at ease, he also managed to put my husband-who tends to be quite anxious about leaving them-at ease, as well. The daily video updates, thoughtful care, and dog-friendly environment made all the difference.

Faith treated my dog as if he were her own. She sent me tons of photos and that made me feel at ease while being away from him. We look forward to staying with her again!

About: I've had pets all my life cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, Bunnies, and taken car of horses. I love animals and am not afraid of their messes. During the summer I have plenty of time to take care of pets though during the school year certain times of day I won't be available due to classes. I've learned to come at pets with the caution they need. I'm very friendly and always want to be sweet to pets but I can be tough if the situation calls for it to not let animals walk all over me. I love animals and like taking the time for their needs.

We recently got our puppy, so we were very nervous about dropping him off with someone new. He can be quite a handful! But Lucy was great with him and sent us updates throughout his visit to ease our anxiety. We will definitely be using her services again and would highly recommend her!

About: I've taken care of my boy Nomad since I adopted him from a co worker. Seeing him grow into an amazing and lovable cat has made me grow into a real animal lover. I see him more than just a cat but a faithful companion and I want to provide that same level of care to all of my clients. I have availability every week day starting at 5 PM and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I am flexible with my scheduling. I can dog walk each week day starting at 5 pm and all day on weekends. I can drop in sit every week day starting at 5 pm and all day on weekends I have a very friendly cat named Nomad at my home and I also do not have anything harmful in my apartment. My clients can rest easy knowing I take pride in your pets happiness and safety.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Springfield home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
