“Kym and her husband were great. They took great care of my dog as if she were their own. I received pictures and updates everyday which made the trip much better because I didnt have to worry about my dog. We will definitely call on Kym again when we need a sitter.”

“Elena treated my dogs like her own. My dogs interacted with hers fir more socialization. I felt very comfortable leaving them in her hands, even though my 1 yo pup can be extra!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we feel so blessed to have found this sweet family to care for our pug. Ashley and Caleb took such great care of Tre while we were on vacation for a week. They were easy to communicate with and sent regular updates and cute photos, which helped put our minds at ease. Tre looked happy and comfortable the whole time. We’re so glad we found them and will definitely book with them again!”

“Such a warm and friendly host! She sent daily photos and details of the day. We felt so good knowing our dog was happy and loved while we were away. Will definitely ask her to watch our dog again. Highly recommend!”
“We dropped off Ziggy for the weekend after a visit to the vet where we left with four medications, a cone and a bloody paw. Philip didn't flinch. (He was two minutes from where I was visiting my mom, so we could have been there if anything had come up.) We didn't get a lot of updates, but we came back to a dog who seemed happy, and better yet, hadn't been chewing on his paw. Highly recommend.”

“Samantha was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. I had an emergency and she was able to take my 3 Basset Hounds within a couple of hours. They stayed with her for a week. My dogs were welcomed with open arms and treated exactly how they are at home- even getting to sleep in bed with her and snuggle time on the couch. She always responded to my messages within minutes, and sent me several updates, pictures, and videos of my babies every day. She also made sure to ask questions about habits, personalities, medications, feeding, etc. I was so scared to drop them off, but Samantha quickly eased my anxiety, making sure I knew they were okay and adjusting well. I cant recommend her enough. Ellie is hard to win over and within a couple of days I find out that she is following Samantha all over the house. A very impressive feat. She will be my first contact should I need to board my babies again. Thank you, Samantha for making a stressful situation the easiest it could have been, and for taking such good care of my girls.”

“Kate watched my dog for two weeks straight and was great to communicate with. She regularly sent me photos and updates to let me know that my dog was enjoying her stay, I will definitely consider using her again.”

“Irene was a SUPERB host for my Rita and will absolutely be re-booking in the future! Facilitated a smooth meet and greet, welcomed Rita in, and was in clear and consistent communication.”

“We are so glad to have found Ellie. We had a couple of play dates before this stay so our dogs and her dog would be familiar with each other. Our dogs are so happy to see her and sad to leave. Ellie takes great care of our three dogs and we are grateful to have found her and that she will care for all 3! Will definitely have our dogs stay with Ellie again and would recommend.”

“Tiana did great boarding our lab Sadie. She was very informative sending texts, videos and pictures daily of updates. Sadie was very happy when we picked her up which was great knowing she was well taken care of. I highly recommend Tiana boarding your pet!”

“Shyann was wonderful with my two pups! They loved staying with her and it was obvious they had fun during their stay. Shyann sent me the best pictures of them throughout the day. I will definitely look for Shyann to dog sit again whenever I’m in town!”

“Kelly and her family were amazing with our two sweet little boys. This was our first time usually Rover.com locally and we’ll definitely be coming back and requesting Kelly again. We were so relieved to know they were safe and well cared for and spoiled as well! Thank you:-)”

“Anita was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and committed with me, sent pictures to me. Her level of kindness and care meant so much and it really helped ease my anxiety of leaving my dog. I would 100% have her watch Yoshi again, probably any time I need a pet sitter if she's available.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of November 2026, there are 341 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Spring Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Spring Valley can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Spring Valley home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Spring Valley.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Spring Valley sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
