“Paige was awesome with our three cats! Loved seeing update pictures, went the extra mile changing our litter genie! All meds were handled well, definitely will work with her again!”

“We needed someone to let our senior dog out once a day while at work. Chante has been amazing. She is very reliable and kind to our dog. I can't thank her enough for helping us out.”

“I love the pictures and timely visits to my cats while away for christmas. She made sure they were fed and had clean water and took time to play with them even for a few minutes. This was beyond what we expected. I will hire her again if she is available when we go out of town again.”

“Breelyn does great with my cats and took care of them well. In addition we made sure that my apartment was left secured and she insured that. We’ll be using her again for Christmas break!”

“Garrett was great while giving our two Boxer dogs a potty break once a day for 2 weeks! He was patient with our youngest who was shy and would try to hide from him. He was also patient with our oldest, who is a typical Boxer and is very rambunctious! He also didn’t just let them out to potty, he played with them a bit, which we appreciated!! Garrett was prompt and respectful of our home; he cleaned up an accident on the first day when one of our dogs was excited to see him. He also communicated professionally and sent pictures daily. We hope to use Garrett is available again when we need pet services!!”

“I am so grateful for Ara! She did amazing with my young, large dog who can be a handful sometimes. She was very attentive and went above & beyond, making sure all my animals had their needs met & enough attention and love. I appreciate the communication I received as well throughout my trip. Will absolutely be using her again!”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 10 years old. This includes cats and dogs with special needs such as permanent injuries, animal aggression and seizures. Volunteered at animal shelters all of middle and high school. Very loving and kind with all animals. I work full time as an electrician, however my schedule is very flexible and I have all weekends off. I only work a regular 8 hour day and have plenty of time to spare after work for your beloved furry family member. I live in an apartment but fortunately it has its own dog park area, nearby parks, walking paths and hiking locations. I am very active and enjoy high energy dogs, but I also enjoy relaxing and giving plenty of ear scratches to dogs that like their lazy days.
About: I volunteered with Patriot Paws of Aggieland where I helped to raise and train service dogs for veterans at no cost to those veterans! I have also worked at Sit Means Sit Dog Training. I am very well experienced with dogs! I work everyday but am free after and before work!! I'm excited to meet your babies! On weekends I can be flexible pending work. I do have my own fur babies to take care of but am capable of doing both! I make sure to not let the animals out of my sight for more than 2 minutes! I love to play with them or just lay around depending on what the animal prefers!
About: I've taken care of several dogs and cats for friends and neighbors, whether that's just checking in or staying overnight. I am avaliable to accompany the pets for extended hours or days. Pet sitting is my full time job, so I am usually available whenever! I'm able to either stay with the pets or check on them periodically. I am able to watch pets at a client's house, always keeping an eye on them and making sure they're doing alright. I prefer visiting and/or staying in their environment, making sure the pets more comfortable and less stressed.
“Amber was great! We had her do drop ins for 3 dogs. She communicated well, took lots of pictures, and my dogs seemed much better when we got home than they do when we board them. I would highly recommend and will book with her again!”
“Reanna is the best! My cats and dogs loved her the minute they met her. Even my dog with dementia wanted to interact with her. She did an excellent job caring for them and the photos from each visit kept me connected and free from worry. I have found my pet sitter.”

“Olivia watched over our fur baby with the utmost care and diligence! Her reports were thorough, and her communication was spectacular. This was the longest my husband and I had left our cat, and we were nervous about it. Olivia put our minds to ease because of her open communication and frequent updates. We knew our boy was getting the best care possible, so we could truly relax and enjoy our trip. She truly went above and beyond, not just keeping our cat happy and healthy, but Olivia also took care of our home and kept it tidy and clean. I cannot recommend her enough! She truly cares about the pets she watches, and she is just a genuinely kind and dedicated person. You will not be disappointed by booking with her!”
“Tori was excellent!!!, this was my second time using her for my cat. She was friendly, patient and attentive to my not so friendly cat. She kept me updated daily and made me aware of any arrival delays. She followed all my instructions to the letter. I felt 100% comfortable with the care my cat received and I know I will be rebooking again soon! Don’t hesitate to book Tori!!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spokane. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
