Dog Walkers in Spearfish, SD

About: My family got a dog (Weimaraner) when I was about 13 years old, and we attended a puppy training course for him. Since then, I've house and pet sat various times for friends and friends of friends. Currently, I have a flexible schedule, and can be available as needed. I have commitments Sunday mornings, some Tuesday nights and midday Mon/Wed/Fri but otherwise am flexible. I would defer to you on what you would prefer for your pet in your home. I am not able to house pets in my living arrangement.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life! I grew up with dogs in my home and have take care of and walked my friends, family, and neighbors dogs. I have so much love to give all different kinds of dogs! I am currently in grad school and looking for a job I can do that is flexible with my academic schedule! I am looking to find consistency in dog walking and/or dog sitting in order to help families out! :) I have experience with a lot of different kind of dogs and I am happy to accommodate whatever is needed for you and your pet to be comfortable!

About: I've been surrounded by animals my entire life. Love connecting to them and enjoying similar activities like going for a walk, playing at the park, or simply just the company. I’d love any excuse to go on an extra walk or hike! I work as a waitress, so my schedule isn’t very consistent. I work a maximum of 4 days a week. However my schedule is very flexible, especially if I have some notice! I have the morning’s, to about 3:30p.m, free on the days that I work. I’m willing to adjust my work schedule to help out as needed! I have one little, and she's a cat. We spend lots of time on the porch, people/squirrel watching. Currently trying to harness train her so we can venture a little further than the outside porch. We try to get as much play time and cuddles in each day to keep us both happy!

About: Friends and family always call because they know I am the go to person when it comes to dogs/puppy sitting. I think our pets are one of the most important things to us, so I’ll always be there for your pets! I currently can’t have dogs at my home, so I try to take my mom‘s puppy on walks, drives or she loves the dog park, it’s always the best part of my week getting to see her!! I can stay on weekends or whenever needed, i’ll make sure to keep the dog in its daily routine! I wish I could, but I am not able to offer staying at my home.

About: I have had the responsibility of playing with and taking care of dogs for as long as I remember. I will feed, water, let outside to potty, etc. I’m currently a college student with a part time job so my availability just depends on the day, but I will try to make some time every day! I walk and play fetch with pets, let them out to go potty, and of course feed and water them! I clean up accidents as well as scattered toys.

About: I grew up with dogs and have taken care of them since I was little. I am SO PASSIONATE about dogs but our apartment building does not allow them. I would love to help out you and your family, while conveniently doing the thing I LOVE: hanging out with dogs!!! While o my 5’3”, I can definitely hold my own with bid dogs and those struggling with leash manners! I try to walk dogs at the local shelter once a week as well. I’ve never met a dog I haven’t loved!!! During the summer I have a fairly free schedule and am able to move around the responsibilities I do have to meet my needs. I go on a long walk at least once a day and would love to bring your dog along with me! I love our small town area and the country life ! I can’t bring dogs home with me but would love to take them in the car when needed and you can trust me in your home to meet the needs of your dog(s)

About: I’ve taken care of small dogs and large dogs. I would pet in high school, and also dog walk. I have trained my young dog Ruger knowing all his basic commands and has a good recall, and I am training my puppy, Ferg. I have a fairly open schedule that I can designate towards taking care of pups, whether that be walking your pup, boarding, or doing pet drop ins. I have a good sized yard for my dogs with an outside line so they have space. I live next to a sports plex so I walk my dogs down the empty lots behind our house all the way down to the fields. For boarding, my two dogs are very friendly and would love to keep your dog company. If your dog needs to be an only dog during boarding I have a spare room I can board them in that’s away from the other dogs and I can let them out separately and walk them separately. For dog visits at your home. I am very timely and dependable. I am a clean person that is respectful of other peoples spaces. I can let them out of every few hours and if they need company I can be there with them for a couple hours. I love taking dogs on walks, so I’d be more than happy to walk your pup once a day. If they like going to the dog park I am open to do that too! I would bring my young dog with, however if your dog is not friendly then I will walk your dog alone.

About: Since a young age I have provided pet care for neighbors, friends, family, and community. I've had lots of experience with all ages of dogs with different needs. I'm a patient person willing to take on training small pups or taking extra care of elderly dogs. I'm locked and loaded with plenty of treats, belly rubs, and "Who's a good boy/girl?!?!" As a dog mom myself, I’m full of empathy and love for everyone’s fur baby :) I’m currently work mostly evenings (roughly 4pm-11pm). I get two days off a week and can be flexible with advanced notice! My schedule works perfect for people who just need someone to drop in for a lunch time potty break and walk! I am comfortable where your pet is comfortable! I do in home stays on weekends and holidays. Weeknights can be discussed as needed as well. If I were to stay overnight I would prefer to bring my own dog with. She is a 9 month old english springer spaniel. She is very loving and gentle, she is also fully house trained.

About: I've owned pets all of my life from reptiles (bearded dragons and turtles), to dogs (big and small), cats of all personality types, and many different rodents (rabbits, Guinea pigs, mice). I love caring for pets and giving them whatever they need to feel happy and comfortable. I have been taking care of pets in a professional setting for 10 years and even worked as a veterinary assistant for 5 years so I know how to administer many types of pet medications. I work full time, but have spurts of time where I can stop in to care for a pet, take a dog on a walk, or spend some time cuddling with a pet. I can pick dogs up for walks at your home and take them on a local hike or a walk around the neighborhood or local park. I can stop by to let puppies (or dogs of any age) out to potty and give them some love and affection as well! I often care for cats where I stop into the home one a day or once every other day (depending on the owners preference) and make sure your cat has food, fresh water, and clean litter box. About: I love animals of all kinds, but dogs are my sweet spot. I think they are the purest, most genuine, source of innocence and unconditional love on this planet. Dogs have always been a part of my life. I've had big dogs, small dogs, puppies, senior dogs, dogs with health issues like diabetes, high strung dogs, nervious dogs...you name the challenge, I've most likely taken it on, or I am willing to take it on. In my personal opinion, life without a dog is a life that is lacking. After my best friend and fur companion of 15 years (Ruby) crossed the rainbow bridge, I took a year to grieve. During that time we took care of a strangers dog for 115 days while he went into recovery so that he wouldn't have to surrender his dog. We fell in love with his dog Kota, and gained a friend in him as well, but we were just as excited when they were finally able to reunite. Recently David and I once again became pup parents to our Maui, a minibernedoodle. As your Rover sitter, I promise I will treat your pup as if it were my own. Not only will your pups' needs be met, but he/she will be loved unconditionally and will be given care, time, and attention as if he/she were on a vacation! I promise. I am completely retired now and so is my husband David. We are outdoorsy people so chances are, your dog will be outdoors with us - on an adventure, in the car, in the front yard playing or raking, or out back playing ball or relaxing. We are very laid back and pretty much home-bodies. We live on 3.5 private acres just 5 miles out of town. Our humble home has always been pet friendly including furniture and beds. None of our dogs have been crated, but if that's your thing and you bring your crate, we'll make room and abide by your rules. We have a doggie door leading out to our large back yard that is fenced and also offers sunny and shady spots for dogs to enjoy. Beyond the fence is woods and after play, the pups always love to lounge and watch and listen for wildlife moving about. Typically you will find me out there as well lounging on the back deck reading a book. In addition to the house and fenced yard, David has groomed a path around our property for walking if for some reason we can't load up in the vehicle and go on an adventure - don't forget to bring your pups leash!
