“Nicole did a couple drop in visits for my 2 dogs and took great care of them! She asked great questions at the meet & greet, excellently communicated her visits, and is just an all around pleasant and trustworthy person. My pups loved her. I would definitely use her again in the future!”

“Sabrina was scheduled to do drop-in visits beginning Friday evening through Sunday morning, every 12 hours. Thor requires medication for his severe heart murmur and prolapsed valve - his medication helps to keep him happy and healthy. Sabrina arrived promptly at 6:00 pm, medicated Thor, fed Matilda and Winston (Ralphie was a no-show all weekend), but the others were fed, pet, and their litter boxes cleaned. Clearly, some fun was also had with the many toy options. The cats were well-maintained, safe, and happy - this is what matters to us! Thank you Sabrina for taking such time and care with our babies - and especially for sharing their pictures.”

“Abbi did a great job stepping in last minute to look after my kitty, Cho. She spent time getting to know Cho during her visits and sent me cute photos of them playing. I recommend Abbi as a very responsible kitty sitter!”
“Katie is awesome and our dogs love her and even our stubborn boy is starting to warm up to her! Thanks so much for taking care of our pups on our special day!!”

About: I have been a dog owner (small. medium, large, house and sporting breeds) for 55 years and cat owner for 10 years. It is my passion to now take care of others pet needs. I am now retired and have plenty of time to help other manage the love of their pets when they are not available to do so. I cannot take care of pets in my home at this time. I rent and have 3 pets, significant other, a daughter and a grandson in the house.
“Amber was very professional and communicative. I really appreciated her daily updates about my cat. Additionally, Amber was extremely personable. I highly recommend.”

About: I am athletic and have always grown up around animals. I work at a pet boarding/daycare facility that allows me to get additional experience. With that being said, I have handled several breeds including different diets. I have handled Yorkies to Mastiffs and love them all! Puppies are the show stoppers but tend to lose control at times so I am willing to work on standard obedience commands as well. I’d be more than happy to play according to the dogs ability and health. I understand how important it is that animals receive their medications and meals at a timely manner. I am available most of the week besides my few shifts at my job. I am excited to get to know your furry friends!
“Rachel is fantastic! We knew we were in good hands starting with the meet and greet. Really took time to get to know us and our pup Tony. Very responsive and flexible regarding our plans, and patient and helpful! Then for the day of the walk she provided updates about our dog and I know they had a great time together! Our dog was in excellent spirits when we returned. We were nervous since we hadn’t had a walker come in years, but all fears were put aside with Rachel. Can’t recommend enough. She brings passion and care to her work!”

“Madison is an excellent sitter! She was able to help us out last minute to check-in on our pups while we were out for the day. Our reactive dog was very comfortable with her which had kept us from hiring a sitter in the past. She provided pictures with a detailed update on the visit which was helped put our minds at ease. We highly recommend Madison and plan on hiring her again in the future.”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life since I was a baby, mostly large dogs so I know how to handle them and care for them. I’m able to administer medication if necessary, and I’m patient and attentive, so I can make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I understand each pet has their own personality and routine, so I always follow owners instructions carefully to minimize stress and keep things consistent. I currently work full time as a bartender, so my mornings and early afternoons are totally open for any care. Nights are a little harder as I get out pretty late. I have 3 cats of my own, I have to administer medication to one of them twice a day, and monitor his litter box use as he has chronic urinary blockages. I am able to feed, clean litter, walk and play with clients pets.

During the week I am available for afternoon and early evening visits. On the weekends my availability is open! I build in dedicated time for each visit to ensure I’m never rushed, and every pet gets my full attention. I care for pets in their own home with the same respect and attentiveness I would offer in my own. I follow all provided instructions closely—whether that includes feeding schedules, medication, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys—and I always take time to observe how each pet is feeling that day and send updates and pictures. During drop-in visits, I offer gentle, calm energy and prioritize connection so your pet feels safe and seen. I’ll make sure they’re fed, comfortable, and get affection or playtime based on their needs and personality. On walks, I stay alert and keep pets secure while still giving them time to sniff, explore, and enjoy the moment. I will always leave your home just as I found it—or even a little better. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease while we’re on our routine together
About: I’ve cared for all sorts of pets ever since I was young. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, farm animals..pets are family and should be cared for as such! I love being around furry friends and have experience caring for all ages. I am comfortable administering medication with dogs and cats. I currently have an open schedule as I am transitioning in careers. I do prefer a little notice so I can make sure I’m fully available. Pets are part of the family and are treated as such. I would get details on each pet to ensure I’m caring for them the way they normally are.

“Amazing! My shy dog and very hyper Aussie puppy loved her and she was even amazing and picked up my puppy’s mess after chewing up something I forgot to put up. Absolutely will be booking with her again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Southbridge
Nicole was extremely reliable and professional and I will definitely reach out to her again next time I need cat sitter. My elderly cat is sweet, but also a bit moody at times, and Nicole did an amazing job at helping my cat naturally come out of her shell and feel safe. The photo updates Nicole sent were also great and really set my mind at ease.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Southbridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
