“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Trixie! It’s greatly appreciated. While we hate leaving her, knowing someone else cares for her as much as we do makes it a little easier.”

“Collette was great with our dog. She walked him daily and has a great fenced in yard. She played with him and has her own sweet dog that our dog played with. Her home is very dog friendly. I would definitely use her services again.”

“This was our first time using Mallory and James and we will definitely use them again. Our dog didn’t do well at a big facility and he did great being in their home. They gave him a lot of special attention and love and exercise. We received videos and pictures every day. Highly recommend and will go back!”

“Sue has watched my two pups twice now and I cannot express enough at how grateful and lucky I feel to have found her! She truly loves dogs and I know when they are there that they are being cared and loved for exactly as if they were home. My dogs are attached at my hip, but when we get to Sue’s house, they are clearly so happy to be with her that it makes leaving them a LOT easier. About: I have had pets in my life since I was a baby. We have enjoyed a lab, standard poodle and currently a mini cocker spaniel poodle mix. I love getting outside and being active with pets. I am at home with my daughter most of the time and I enjoy doing side hustles like selling vintage clothing online and seeking out antiques. We get outside with our dog, Carl often and would love to get a chance to offer outside time and love to other pets on Rover too! I always approach pets slowly with care and love. They feel our energy big time and have so much to share with us when we give them the chance.
“Karyn was absolutely terrific. My puppy was extremely comfortable with her. Karyn treated him as if he was hers. Sent many pictures and kept me informed about Fitzy several times a day. She has a great fenced in yard which gave my dog freedom to run. Fitzy and her dog got along well. Would highly recommend her. Can’t say enough of good things about this experience.”

Julie has been fantastic with Twix, our peculiar rescue pit mix. It’s been so difficult finding the right dog sitter. Twix was so happy and calm when we came to pick her up, which was a first! Getting great reports about her while away and when we came back was reassuring. Julie is attentive to our dog’s needs and treats her like her own.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
