“Martrice, had very good communication and kept me updated with goober and sending lots of pics i truly enjoyed the pictures. I will definitely book again and highly recommend!!”

“Meagan was an outstanding sitter! She treated our Violet like her own and gave us frequent updates. If we lived closer she’d be my go to every single time! Our pup had the best time with her and her girls. I cannot recommend her more highly!”

“Jenn & Brian are really warm, friendly and welcoming. They’re really nice and we felt very comfortable while leaving milo at their place. I informed her about Milo’s neuter and she was really caring and kept sending updates about the stitches as well. I am from Chicago and sad that they’re in NY. If we are in same place I would send milo again and again to them whenever we go on a vacation. Best people ever! Highly Recommended.”

“Monique is lovely, she was absolutely punctual both at pickup and drop-off, and has a great energy about her. I could tell Archie really liked her, and so did I. She sent me many updates throughout the day, my Archie had the time of his life with her. 12/10 would trust her with my pet again, and I definitely, absolutely and inequivocaly recommend her services. Amazing experience all around. I'll be forever grateful to her for taking such good care of my boy.”

“Charlene was amazing. My doggie is from the US and he now has a CA dog buddy name Dora & a special human friend Charlene🌷. She took such great care of Rocket. He enjoyed himself for 2 daytime daycare visits.. This helped us have a more enjoyable vacation and afforded Rocket the same as well. This was our first road trip with Rocket. Thank You so much Charlene.💐🌸🌺🌸🌷🌷🌷🌷🌺🌸💐”

“Laura was amazing with my off the wall super energetic 3 month old springer spaniel puppy!! She is a super experienced trainer and was amazing at providing a balance between structure/close monitoring for safety and a lot of fun play time for my girl. She sent a lot of updates and advice that was very helpful for our training as well! Laura went above and beyond and even gave me tons of training tips outside of the visit because my pup is very difficult and has been struggling with separation anxiety. Best value out of a Rover stay I’ve ever gotten!”

“Emily was great to work with! Very flexible and accommodating. She had great communication. I could tell that my dog had a good day with her. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Lauren connected very well with my fur girl from the very beginning. Looking at the pictures that she share I could definitely see that being outside on the balcony with Lauren was one of her favorite times of her stay....as she took in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood along with catching a few rays!”

“Dana responded quickly, communicated clearly throughout the process, and was absolutely fantastic with our pups! She gave them the extra love and spoiling they needed while we ventured to Niagara Falls for the day- and she even gave us some great tips! Would highly recommend and certainly would use again!”

“Left my dog at Courtney's for the day. She was very communicative and my dog seemed very happy when I picked her up. My pup took a long nap afterwards so she definitely got good play time.”

“We were very pleased with Andreas' care. Very friendly, reliable, calm, and our dog seemed quite comfortable with him, despite often having separation anxiety. Also appreciated the pro-level photography.”

“Finn had a lovely time staying with Jolene and her family. He found great comfort right from the get-go. We've got two overnight stays coming up, and we're confident he's in good loving hands.”

About: Raised with the help of two Doberman “nannies,” in the home of a veterinarian. I was brought up in a home from tigers to monkeys and have a natural pull towards caring for all animals. Hi, I’m Raisa. I’ve lived with and cared for Dobermans, Dachshunds, Labradors, Australian Shepherds, Mixed Breeds, and now a senior Siberian Husky who adores other animals. I’ve raised puppies, supported seniors, and learned how to read a dog’s communication style quickly and intuitively. What sets me apart is the combination of: 🐾 A lifetime of hands‑on experience, including a course in Canine Science 🌿 A calm, confident presence 🎯 An ability to understand each dog’s unique personality and needs 🏡 A home environment that’s warm, structured, animal‑savvy and has a LARGE FENCED YARD Your pup will feel so understood and cared for, they’ll think of my home as their second home. I work from home full time so I will always be around hanging out with your pups from 8am-5pm and the evenings. Scroll down to "A Typical Day" to view their daily routine. I have a large fenced in yard and a very friendly female Siberian Husky who respects and loves fur babies of all sizes. Since our yard is large, we can accommodate multiple dogs at once if you have a large family. My pup is vaccinated and up-to date with flea, tick and heart worm meds. ATTENTION: No Indoor Marking Policy I cannot host dogs who mark indoors. Even small amounts of marking can damage flooring and trigger other dogs to do the same. If marking or repeated accidents occur, I will contact you for early pickup. Thank you for understanding and helping me maintain a safe, happy space for your pups.
“Karen and Jorge were amazing with Ocho! They took great care of him, kept us updated with photos throughout the day, and made us feel completely at ease. We highly recommend them and would definitely book with them again! 🐶💛”

“Erica was absolutely wonderful. She made sure Millie had plenty of activities to do like walks, play mats, and treats. Pick up went seamlessly and she is very responsive and flexible. I appreciate her taking care of my dog!”

“Vidya was absolutely fantastic, taking care of our dog for the afternoon while we were in town visiting relatives. She was very conscientious and reliable, and provided many updates and photos throughout the afternoon. Highly recommended, we will book her again the next time we are back in town.”

“We were in NOTL for vacation and needed a dogsitter while we took an all day tour. Paula was most helpful in watching our Roxy while we were gone all day. She communicated frequently with us and gave us updates on how Roxy was doing. She even sent photos of Roxy snuggling with her. She obviously is a dog (and cat) lover. We would definitely use Paula again for our petsitting needs.”

“Carol is truly a dog lover! It is great that she took our last minute booking as we came in to town to sightsee. Our girl was very well taken care of giving us some free time!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 205 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across South Wilson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South Wilson commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 205 sitters in South Wilson, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
