“Thanks to Kelsey and her husband for watching our dog on somewhat short notice. First time use of the Rover app and felt completely comfortable with a multiple day boarding with them. I could tell by the texts and pictures we received that she was well taken care of and got plenty of attention and exercise while in their care. Would definitely book with Kelsey again!”

“Melanie was great taking care of our little Charlie. She gave him lots of attention and he really enjoyed being at her home. She also gave us updates on how he was doing.”

“Kathy was a sensational sitter for our toy poodle Lily! She went above and beyond to care for her and make sure she was safe and comfortable. We arranged for her next stay on pick up! The pictures and updates kept us entertained while we were away and we knew she was happy without us.”

“Have used Kyle multiple times now - every time has been great. He really cares about the dogs, communicates well, and did a great job with my anxious pup during some heavy storms. Recommend.”

“Brandon is Excellent and we highly recommend him. Our dog ran away from my sisters house last March vacation (got her back after 4 days in the wild) so we were a bit nervous leaving her with anyone for fear she might escape again. Brandon assured us he would always keep Skyler on a leash and be vigilant about keeping doors shut and not letting her escape. Skyler spend 8 days with Brandon and everything went great! We received daily pics and notes which gave us peace that she was well cared for and safe. Brandon even let us meet with him TWICE at no charge for an hour to let Skyler get to know him including 45 min where I left and came back to get her while he took her on a walk in the neighborhood. Brandon gave Skyler her seizure pills daily and Skyler came home happy and healthy. Cannot recommend Brandon enough, this guy really cares about our dog as much as we do. We will use him again.”

“Our favorite family to trust with our dog. They do an amazing job sending pictures and updates. We always feel 100% comfortable leaving our furry friend for the week or weekend. Can’t express enough how grateful we are for Tara and Peter!”

“We have a 12 week golden doodle puppy (Oakley) and had to leave him for the first time for a baseball tournament. Oakley had a blast playing with Kelsey’s dog, along with many outdoor adventures. We were nervous leaving him for the first time and she updated us frequently. We will 100% use her services again and highly recommend her!!”

“This was our first time using Wendy’s service. She was wonderful with our dog. She sent us pictures during his stay to keep us informed of how he’s doing. Her house is immaculate. We felt very comfortable with leaving our fur baby with her as soon as we met her and see her place the first time during the interview process. Thank you for take such good care of our Mater.”

“Tove & Gerry are the best. Our 10 year old Golden Doodle Marley had only been boarded once in her life. From the first minute that she walked into their home Marley was comfortable. They took great care of her, sent updates and pictures and cared for her like she was their own. Tove even slept with Marley one night when her tummy wasn’t feeling great. You couldn’t ask for two more wonderful people to watch your little one.”

“Anghella was amazing! She was available on short notice, she was close, and Obi was awesome too! There was a miscommunication on my end and she was able to accomodate my needs. After meeting Anghella I did not feel anxious or worried about leaving our pup with her. Thank you Anghella!!! We will be using her in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m Corey, a lifelong animal lover, dog dad, and the kind of person who genuinely enjoys getting to know an animal’s unique personality. My two dogs, Asher and Gracie, are part of the family, so I understand that trusting someone with your pet means trusting them with someone you love. I know every dog is different. Some want to play all day, some want to sniff every corner of the yard, and others are happiest curled up beside you getting belly rubs. I love getting to know those little quirks and making sure each dog feels comfortable, safe, and cared for in their own way. I care for my own pets every day and regularly help friends and family with theirs. Whether your pup needs playtime, walks, companionship, a consistent routine, or just a little extra affection while you’re away, I’ll do my best to make their time with me feel like a second home. Your dog isn’t just another booking to me. They’re a member of your family, and I’ll treat them with the same patience, attention, and affection I’d want someone to give Asher and Gracie. I also know how reassuring it is to get an update while you’re away, so I’ll keep you in the loop and let you know how your pup is doing. My goal is simple: for you to feel confident leaving your dog in my care, and for your dog to have a happy, comfortable experience while you’re apart. ❤️ Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I make it a priority to give every dog in my care the time and attention they deserve. My flexible schedule allows me to accommodate your pet’s needs, whether that means keeping up with their usual feeding times, fitting in walks and playtime, or simply providing companionship throughout the day. I want you to feel confident that your pup isn’t just being watched, but genuinely cared for. My home is a place where dogs can feel comfortable, included, and loved. With a fenced-in yard for outdoor play and a welcoming indoor space for relaxing, your pup can enjoy a balance of activity and downtime. I believe dogs deserve to be treated like family, not guests who have to stay out of the way. I also understand that every dog has different needs and comfort levels. Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, I’ll respect their routine, pay attention to their individual needs, and work to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Their safety and well-being always come first, and I’ll keep you updated so you can enjoy your time away with greater peace of mind.
About: My name is Ivette and I currently study at Case. My husband is a USPS mail carrier and I work from home. Currently, I have one dog and two rescue cats🐾. During the pandemic, I spent a significant amount of time with my pets indoors where I had the opportunity to take care of two litters that my dogs had. I learned many skills during that time. With age, my dog became a senior dog and had to take oral medication so I am used to giving oral/topical medication to pets. I have been living in the Cleveland area since 2019 but I am originally from Texas. My current home has a fenced back yard and a good route for walks. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

“Like leaving your pet with a family member. Sandra is everything you would want in a sitter. She is so down to earth and cares so much about the dogs she watches. My dog loves her and I know Maxine is being look after as my wife and me would. Thanks again Sandra. Highly recommend!!!”

“Jenna accommodated me on short notice and provided my dog, Ridley with great care. He was well taken care of and I received many updates as I was out of the country for a vacation. I would recommend her for short and long stays.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their South Madison home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your South Madison.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your South Madison sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
