About: I grew up in Cameroon in a home where animals were always part of daily life. Throughout my childhood, my family cared for multiple pets at a time, including dogs and cats, and I also spent time around many other animals through regular visits to our family farm. Being around animals from a young age taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to understand different pet personalities and comfort levels. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, calm, and well looked after. As a nursing student, I’m also very detail-oriented, responsible, and comfortable following routines and instructions carefully. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your pet, and I always aim to provide dependable and compassionate care. I am currently a student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable pet care on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends. I am also available for drop-in visits in the mornings and afternoons, depending on the booking, and I can accommodate many same-day requests based on availability. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure each visit includes feeding, playtime, and attentive care. I also aim to provide timely updates and clear communication so pet owners feel comfortable and informed while their pets are in my care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and safety preferences. I always make sure pets are secure before entering or leaving the home and provide updates so owners feel informed and reassured. I understand the importance of patience, attentiveness, and maintaining a clean and calm environment. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away.
“Amanda was absolutely wonderful! I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs in her care, and I truly appreciated her accommodating my last minute request. I feel very lucky that she was available. I highly recommend her, and I will definitely be requesting her services again in the future!”

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life. Growing up we owned a variety of dogs both large and little. I was the neighborhood pet sitter for reptiles, dogs, cats, and fish. I currently own 3 cats and have an active fish tank. I currently have an open availability to pet sit, so your pet will get plenty of play time. I can be flexible to fit into your pets care routine I have pets in house and grew up with pets that had specialized care needs like medication and dietary restrictions. My cats are young and require lots of playtime.
“Alejandra took great care of my pups when I had to go out of town and couldn't take them. She stayed with them for the full time, cleaned up after them and administered meds for my senior dog. I highly recommend her and will be using her again.”
“Esmeralda was a great communicator and sent pictures of my fur babies to me at each drop in. My cats normally hide but they came out for her instantly. That’s a good sign. :) I would not hesitate to hire her again.”

“Absolutely amazing. She did everything I asked, and then some. All of my crazy crew of my little dachshunds absolutely loved her. Definitely will be rehiring her again.”

About: I have owned some sort of pet, mostly dogs my whole life. I am currently caring for 2 of my own little ones and want to care for more. I have volunteered at local dog shelters when I was in high school and have dog sat for people in my everyday life. I believe pets should be treated and cared for like family and that’s what I intend to do! This will allow me to work and do something I love at the same time, I am a college student and I’m just trying to stable myself financially. I hope you will give me a chance to show you how well I can love, play with and care for your furry family members without trouble! I have experience with blind and deaf dogs and care for the stray cats on the streets because I cannot own one of my own at the moment. My schedule is super flexible as of now! I have a pretty open schedule and I am willing to arrange a set schedule as well. I do have a fenced yard that isn’t very large but a small safe neighborhood. I do have 2 dogs in the house at the moment, two little ones.
“Jazlynn was absolutely amazing. I opted for the drop-in visits. She stopped by the house twice a day and took care of my 160 Cane Corso. She was punctual and communication was exceptional. Well done ma’am.”

“She was wonderful taking care of our two fur babies. She was great with communication. My husband and I were able to have a nice comfortable getaway and know that our fur babies were well taken care of. Will definitely use Maddy again”

“Shelby is very nice. Fred took to her very quickly. Shelby is very kind, gentle and relaxed, but always vigilant watching him as he played in the yard. I highly recommend her and she will be watching Fred on a weekly basis and then daily basis.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have years of hands-on experience with pets of all kinds. I’ve helped family, friends, and neighbors by walking, feeding, bathing, and spending quality time with their dogs. Recently, I’ve been pet sitting more consistently for friends, building strong trust with both pets and their owners. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with anxiety, so I’m patient, attentive, and mindful of each dog’s unique needs. My goal is always to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to care for your pup and I’m generally available Monday-Saturday from 8 am-8 pm. I respect your dog’s needs first and foremost but especially your personal boundaries as the homeowner. I’ve babysat in many client’s houses before and know the importance of respecting the environment. Please let me know your rules and requirements and I’m happy to adhere by them as I care for your pup!

About: My name is Edwin D Rodriguez I live with my mom and sister, I will would gladly take care of your furry friend, especially on the weekends. I would gladly take care of dogs, size from chihuahua to labrador. Size or breed of dog doesn’t matter when it comes to housesitting or daycare at my residence. I will do all I can to respond as soon as possible. I have been taking care of dogs for my family ever since I was a freshman in high school. We have a decent sized house, but not big for a Saint Bernard to live in, but we do have a big backyard. Possibly the biggest backyard in my entire neighborhood, if a dog is required walking I’ll be right on it. I recently graduated from college, so my schedule is more flexible. If housesitting, walking, daycare or drop-in visits are needed, I’ll be there whenever possible. House sitting is rare but whenever I do, I make sure the dogs are safe, secure and well fed. I also make sure the client’s house is well taken care of also.

La recomiendo totalmente!!”

About: Hi! I’m Emily, I have worked with animals for 6 years. I had worked at an animal shelter as a trainer, moving on to a board and train facility. Afterwards, I dabbled into pet grooming and now I am a vet tech! I wanted to share that I'm currently working from home. I'm available every day during the week, and I try to balance my work with an active lifestyle. It's important for me to stay engaged and maintain a healthy routine while caring for animals and pets. I currently reside in a welcoming motel that offers a safe and spacious outdoor area where dogs can enjoy some fresh air on a leash. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel comfortable, so I also take my time to visit sniff spots if needed. Inside my room, I create a stress-free atmosphere that’s quite roomy, with my two dogs who are crate trained, ready to provide a calming presence for other dogs that might feel a bit anxious around others. My goal is to ensure that every dog feels secure and at ease during their stay.

About: Hi! I’m Darlene. I’ve always loved caring for animals since I was a young girl, and I’ve carried that with me into my professional career. Animal welfare is a really big passion of mine and it’s important that we advocate for the ones who cannot speak for themselves. 💛🐾 I’ve been a veterinary technician for 6 years now, and through my job, I’ve realized that there are pet owners who would prefer to have their dogs/cats be in the comfort of their own home, while they’re away. Some of them may be too anxious to go boarding or they’ve heard horror stories. So, it’s important for me that we don’t interrupt their routine and keep them as happy and comfortable as possible while you’re away from home. A little into my personal life: -I’m 30 years old. -I have two dogs: Marley, my senior boy. He’s 16 years old and doesn’t seem to have much thoughts lol but he’s still trucking a long. It’s his word, we’re just living in it. Yumi, my 6 year old girl. We like to call her the sweetest, most beautiful bby in the entire world. She’s a sweet heart and is a proud member of the lamb chop cult. Both of my dogs are adopted from shelters. 🐾💛 -My hobbies are reading, watching horror movies, playing my ninendo switch, and spending time with my husband/dogs. I look forward to meeting you and your fur-babies. 🐾 I currently work full-time as a vet tech. I usually work 4x10’s and I’m off on the weekends. I like to be as transparent as possible with you, and I do my best to try and leave for lunch and give your babies a potty break, but it’s not always a guarantee, given the nature of my job. I really try not to disrupt their routine while you’re away and I will love on them and care for them like they’re my own. Every dog/cat deserves that & I’m very big on cuddles and sending photos with updates!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
