About: I really just have a love for dogs that is unmatched. And my dog Dodger will love to have a new friend. He is amazing with other dogs and loves to play all day. I work Monday through Friday, but my dog always has free roam of the house and yours will too. I spend time playing with my dog everyday around 11am so your dog will have all the attention needed. Your dogs will be welcomed and treated like my own with free range of the backyard and home. We will go on early morning walk daily.
“John dropped in on our Bengal cat Murphy daily during our vacation in the Caribbean. We met face to face beforehand, and John was a nice, normal guy. Super responsive to text. The app notified us every time John started the drop-in visit and when it ended. John always fed, changed water, cleaned the litter, played with and pet Murphy. He sent me three or four pictures each day, and commented on how Murphy was doing. When we came home, everything was perfect, Murphy was happy, and John came by to return the key at my convenience. Five stars, you couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend.”

“Our Maisey was very excited to walk with Cheri every day. She sent lots of picture updates and was always attentive to the hot temps outside, since our flat-faced pup is susceptible to overheating. We appreciated the opportunity to meet with Cheri face to face, and love the live and post-walk updates. Looking forward to scheduling again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 7 years. Family and friends have trusted me of taking care of their dogs, and if pets could talk they would say they had the best time with me. I'm currently working part-time. I'll have plenty of time to take care of your fuzzy friends such as feeding, playing, and bathing on the weekends. I have a good home environment and two friendly furry friends of my own. If needed I will definitely be able to crate your dog.
About: Grew up with cats since before I can remember, and have 2 of my own now. During high school I would walk dogs and house sit for neighbors who had a range of dogs and cats. I currently am not working, so all hours are available to go house sit, or give walks, or just check in with your pet as needed Unfortunately I don't have the space to board any animals, as I have two cats of my own and in an apartment with a pet limit. However, I will follow any special instructions given. I am taking care of your pet, so I will always follow your rules. When housesitting I always maintain a clean space, and keep an eye on whatever your pet is doing. I will also bring in mail/newspaper, and do whatever other household chores are required. When dog walking I will always make sure they are secure at all times on the walk, I never take dogs off their leash. If it's a long walk I will bring some water so we can stay hydrated, especially during the summer heat. I'm also willing to stop in throughout the day to feed your pet and let them out to potty. My phone is always on, and am always available to you as you need.
About: I used to house-sit for Rover as a college student but now with a full time career, the hours have not made it possible. I love, love, love dogs, and I miss the time I spent with them. I work the majority of the day and only have time for evening walks if interested. I have no pets of my own due to my work schedule but would love to help any customer who wants their dog to get some activity in. I work long hours and walking would need to be scheduled after 5 PM during my work days. My days off can be scheduled differently. I think it's important for dogs to have a safe environment. This means walking in areas where their safety is priority and understanding how weather and other animals can affect them.

“Shylynn did a wonderful job looking after our sweet dog. It was a drop-in visit situation. Shylynn checked on our pup at the designated times, she walked her once, gave her treats, made sure she had food and water, and provided photos of our dog while we were away. Shylynn is a lovely young lady who loves animals and I would highly recommend her for your pet care needs.”

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Somerton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Somerton with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
