“Jessica has always been excellent dropping in to take care of our pets. She is great at communicating and we always appreciate the many pictures she shares. We can't recommend her enough.”

“Leah stopped in each day to feed and medicate our two cats for a week. She was patient with our scaredy cats and always found them in their hiding spots, got their meds to them, and let us know how it went. Highly recommended!”

“Hannah was wonderful with our dog. She had great communication and she also was able to come last minute when our other sitter canceled. I will definitely be requesting her again!”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of my pups. They are my family and knowing you were taking such great care of them while I was away was such a relief! Thank you again!!”

“Always have a great experience. I travel at very strange times often with about 3 hours notice. Never had an issue with response time, ability to come by or treatment of my sweet Zoe girl. Thank you!”
“Jordan was amazing. The best sitter we have ever had. She is thorough, communicative and smart! Best of all, our cats fell in love with her. She always brought a toy, spent quality time with them and gave lots of pets. Her pictures, sent after every visit, are adorable. She has a knack for capturing the cutest, funniest and sweetest moments. We felt completely comfortable being away. She even handled the ever-evolving behaviors of a 6 mo old kitten without missing a beat. If you are lucky enough to book with her, don't hesitate!”

“Rosie was quickly responsive to my last minute request, was prompt, sent pictures, and communicated a concern that helped make her care the best for our Natty. Thank you, Rosie!”

“Kim did a fantastic job. I was very nervous about leaving Aster and Kim was patient and kind leading up to her visit. While she was with Aster she sent pictures and details of the visit. I would definitely hire Kim again.”

“James goes above and beyond for the kitties, and for us. If there is something that needs to be done, he does it, and he always keeps in excellent contact with us, no matter what. We love (and the kitties love) James!”

“Amazing dog sitter!! Emilie kept us updated at every visit with our dogs. She really went above and beyond for our dogs and we can't thank her enough for all that she did while we were away. Also, the pictures were so great to receive. Thanks again for putting our worries at ease. Would definitely recommend her and rebook with her!”

About: I absolutely love all animals!! I have a Beagle that is great with other dogs and children! I work from home and have a large fenced yard that dogs love! I am ready and available to host your pups for overnight needs or come walk your dog(s) so that you can focus on other needs! If I host your dog overnight, I prefer a housetrained pup but am flexible with that. Expect lots of pictures while your furry family member is here ! I work from home so will be home throughout the day, with the exception of short errands runs. If your pupper needs a crate, please feel free to bring one! Large fenced yard for lots of outdoor time. I have dog beds throughout the house for sleeping, and dogs beds outside for lounging and sunbathing!
“Mary Rose took great care of my kitties. They were not intimidated by her presence and allowed her to take pictures and get petted. She is very professional, calm and compassionate. I will contact her if I need her another time.”

I’m also experienced with reactive dogs, allergies, and maintaining breed-specific grooming standards. You can trust me to treat your pets with the same love and attention I give my own! I work part-time and live 10 minutes from my house. I always check in on my pets during lunch. My husband works nights so he is home while I’m at work and we switch. I have a fenced yard, and lots of dog friendly walking areas. I have two friendly pets who do very well with other animals. I crate my dog when I leave home for safety & use cameras to check in on them.
About: I have had pets of my own, and I have cared for others' since my teens. I treat them like family because they are family. I have daytime employment, so evenings and weekends are available for walks, playtimes, etc. I can house sit overnights if needed. Please give notice as soon as possible. I'm happy to help your pet stay in their own home and be comfortable. Many pets become anxious when their people leave. Having a companion is helpful.

“Kathleen was wonderful! She updated me everyday, sent pictures and since we were in the middle of a serious heatwave, considered my pups well being by ensuring they were only out for a short time and provided fresh water. I will be leaving them with her again at the end of the month and have total confidence in her ability.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Solomons
Caitlyn was a phenomenal sitter for my boys! I knew she was kind with animals from the start—my cat let her rub his belly immediately during the meet-and-greet 😊 She went out of her way for me several times in two days. When I was nervous that I hadn’t seen one of my cats on a camera, she rushed over to check on them before she was scheduled to. Her responsiveness is SO appreciated. My cats were in safe hands with Caitlyn and I will definitely be booking with her in the future! 🙏🏼

Jazmine has watched our dogs and kitten 3 times now and each time she’s done amazing and gone above and beyond for them we truly appreciate her and are very comfortable leaving our pets with her knowing they are in good hands! She’s so sweet and very accommodating. If you are thinking about booking her please do she’s awesome!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Solomons. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
