“Rochelle was amazing! Took wonderful care of our puppy, send lots of updates and was very communicative! Put our mind at ease for our first time away and will definitely use her again!”

“Kim was fantastic, and my dog was so happy at her house. Kim sent lots of photos, and communicated well. I am so happy with Kim’s services, and will be returning again soon. Thank you!”

“Sierra was wonderful with our dogs! She sent us daily pictures and updates which was absolutely perfect especially since I sometimes forgot to ask! But in every picture or even the one video our dogs were having a blast, she was so professional and nice! Would definitely rebook!!”

“I am so thankful I found Samantha to watch my high energy pup when my family went on vacation recently. She and her husband were so good with my guy. She was also very responsive to my constant checking in and sent tons of pictures and videos. I would 100% recommend her to anyone needing care for their fur babies. She was a true Godsend.”

“We couldn't be happier leaving our fur baby in the care of Crystal for our long trip! She took the time to give us updates on how our pup was doing and even sent pictures of her having fun! It was really a fantastic experience and I highly recommend booking her if you're in need of a sitter. Thanks again Crystal!”

“Sara was amazing! This was the first time I boarded my rescue and I was nervous to leave her. Sara put my mind at ease! We had a meet and greet, which went great! She has two other dogs and my tons of energy furbaby had a ball with her 11 month old. She has a huge "high" fenced in yard and chicken wire 3 feet below the fence, so dogs cannot dig their way out! She has a great set up! When I dropped Rosie off for vacation, Sara knew I was sad and nervous. She kept telling me it would be alright and promised she would keep an eye on my dog. Within in minutes of leaving, she sent me pictures and updates! I got daily pictures, videos and updates, which I looked forward to seeing! She put my mind at ease and both my pup and I enjoyed our vacations! Sara is a kind hearted and wonderful person. I would use her again in a heartbeat. If we lived closer, I would drop my 1 year old off more often. Sara is amazing! You will not be disappointed! Thank you!?”

“Kate did a wonderful job with my very energetic, busy 6 month old puppy Teddy. The house is spacious and extremely dog friendly. I know Teddy loved the large fenced back yard. Kate manages other dogs at her home as well as her own with ease. Teddy enjoyed playing with the other dogs. We will definitely continue to book with Kate.”

“Marie was able to help me in more ways then one. She was an excellent boarding choice, but also she was able to help me understand my dog when it came to understanding her behavior/needs and training her. I left her home with more tools in my toolbox for my dog.”

“5 stars isn’t enough! This was 10 yo Kramer’s first time away from home. His older brother died last month and they were never apart. This has been a very rough time of adjustment. Tammy is wonderful with Kramer! She has a warm heart, a dog friendly home and fenced yard. Kramer was extremely well cared for!”

“Erika was excellent with communication and flexibility. She sent me photos and updates of my sweet baby while I was away and Maggie had a blast while she was there. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!”

“Anthony and Jayson were lifesavers and able to watch our dog last minute after another sitter cancelled. Our dog had the best time with them and it was such a relief to see so many pictures of her playing and having a blast with other dogs while we were away. We are so appreciative of their flexibility and so happy we found them!”

“Pippin loved staying with Julia and her family. They provided him with so much love and care. It was so comforting to receive daily updates and pictures of Pippin making himself quite at home. We are more than pleased with this experience and would not hesitate to have Pippin stay with Julia and her family again.”

“Lesley was phenomenal! She took River at the last minute and provided excellent care, including sending me multiple photos and videos each day so I could keep up with my pup. I was much less anxious about leaving her knowing she was in such great company. River seemed really relaxed, too, and Lesley was very knowledgeable, just taking everything in stride. Highly recommend this sitter.”

“Lourdes and her family always take such wonderful care of Fergus. She provides amazing communication with pictures and videos throughout the day. We always feel secure knowing he is happy, safe and loved. Thank you, Lourdes!”

“Jake's first experience with Cara & Dan was every bit as good as we could have hoped for. They are a kind & caring couple with pet care experience & excellent instincts, Communication was excellent: daily photos with descriptive comments & promptly responsive throughout the entire experience.”

“Oscar is always so tuckered out and so happy after spending time with her! He loves all the other dogs he gets to spend time with there and is great for socializing him while he is still a puppy. Amy spends us plenty of updates and obviously loves dogs. We will continue to rebook with her when we go out of town!”

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
