“Shylina is the best!! She quickly engaged with Brodie — he settled into his normal routine with her right away. Shylina sent great pictures, daily. I had total peace of mind while I was away, and have already booked for my next trip 😊”

About: I have taken care of family/friends/other people’s pets since I was 13. I can feed, let out, walk, and provide enrichment/care for animals. I also have experience with administering medication to animals as well. I am a full-time student currently in my fall semester of college. I am available weekdays for the most part, as I can fit in pet sitting with my school schedule. I will care for your pets as if they were my own (I love my dogs)! I want to ensure that your pet feels safe and comfortable in my care, while also respecting your rules, such as keeping fence gates shut or crating pets when I am not there.
About: I grew up with dogs and as an adult, I have had 3 cats. Sadly they have passed away from old age. In the future, I plan on having another pet, but in the meantime, I can love and care for other people's animals! Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and take care of their pets. I do work full-time Monday through Friday, but my schedule would be available on weekends and some weekdays after 5:30 PM. Holidays can be an option also. My main values are providing safety, trust and love to your pets with respect to the pet owners. When I am with your pet you will be worry free!
“Kallyn has watched our house and our Annie, twice now. Both times, she’s been great and Annie loves her! She’s helped us with things around the house that need to be done while we are gone and she keeps us updated on Annie. We especially love the pictures that we get. We highly recommend her!!”

“Natasha is the absolute best! Provided great care for my cats! She took time to play and keep them busy, followed my care instructions perfectly, and provided frequent updates so I could know they were doing well. Couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter!”

About: Care as Unique as Your Pet, They’re in Good Hands!” I’ve spent years caring for animals, from playful puppies to senior pets who need a little extra love. With a background in animal nutrition and a passion for making pets feel safe and happy, I’ll treat yours like my own! As a college student with just 1–2 in-person classes a day, I have plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, or overnight stays, I can easily fit pet care into my routine. I love spending my free time with animals, making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need while you’re away! In your home, I provide care that keeps your pet’s routine consistent—feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs they have. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. If they stay with me, they’ll get plenty of attention, a cozy place to relax, and all the care they need. No matter where they are, I treat every pet like family!
“Carla was absolutely amazing! When we got home, our pup was sad to watch her new friend leaving :( Carla updated us the whole trip, took Stella on walks throughout the day, and made sure she was fed at the right time. I felt so confident away knowing Stella was in great hands! 10000% recommend”

“Dylan was fantastic! He treated my dog, Olive, like he would his own. Dylan took her on multiple walks daily, and she received plenty of attention/play time. I was provided daily updates including pictures. Olive was in great hands while I was away, and Dylan was also very respectful of the house. Plants watered and house clean. I will definitely use Dylan again for any Rover services! Highly recommend!”

“We were so happy to find Julia on Rover! She is extremely reliable, knowledgeable about dogs, and kept our house spotless while dogsitting our 2 miniature poodles for 5 nights. We highly recommend Julia!”

“Cari is just wonderful with our puppers. It’s obvious that she’s built a great relationship with them and that they really like her. Bonus points on keeping the house incredibly clean.”

“Maliya is fantastic! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. She gave Lucy so much love and attention, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Maliya was always responsive, communicative, and incredibly helpful throughout our trip. She also took great care of our home and left it spotless. We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet. I’m active, dependable, patient, and comfortable following whatever routine your dog is used to. Whether that means long walks, playing outside, feeding, keeping up with a routine, or just giving them some company, I’m happy to help. I work in college athletics, so being responsible, organized, on time, and communicating well are a big part of my everyday life. I’ll treat your dog like I would want someone to treat my own and make sure you’re kept updated while they’re with me. My schedule is flexible, especially during mornings and early afternoons, which gives me plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, and taking care of pets throughout the day. I also have days with significantly more availability and can accommodate overnight and weekend care depending on my schedule. I keep my Rover calendar updated so I only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet the time and attention they need. I take being trusted with someone else’s pet and home seriously. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking routines, medications or other care instructions you provide. I’m also big on communication and will send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. For pets staying with me, I’ll make sure they have a clean, comfortable environment, regular bathroom breaks, exercise, attention, and plenty of time to settle in and feel comfortable.
“Lisa was fantastic with the dogs and stayed at our house over the holiday. She sent photos and gave updates and I could tell they were having a good time. Such a relief when traveling far away to know the pups are in good hands!”
About: Hi! I’m Elena. Whether your pet is an easygoing adult dog, a timid kitty, or a gentle senior who just wants a quiet place to nap, I provide calm, attentive, and high-trust care tailored to their normal routine. My animal care background runs deep: 8+ Years of Rescue Experience & Patient Care: I spent eight years volunteering with City Kitties Rescue in DC and The Cats at Longstreet. Through this work, I developed a strong understanding of animal body language, patience with shy pets, and a gentle touch for animals who need a peaceful environment to feel comfortable. Gentle Senior & Easygoing Routine Care: I love spending time with adult and senior pets who enjoy a relaxed pace, predictable routines, lots of affection, or simply lounging on the couch. I grew up with a Peekapoo and trained with the Animal Humane Society on gentle dog handling techniques. Pro Communication & Great Photos: You’ll receive clear, real-time updates and high-quality progress photos during every stay so you always have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and relaxed. Broad Animal Experience: While I focus on adult cats and dogs on Rover, I’ve personally cared for a wide variety of animals throughout my life—from hedgehogs, rabbits, and pocket pets to reptiles (including live feeding). I maintain a peaceful, welcoming environment and treat every pet like family. I’d love to meet you and your companion! My schedule is very flexible. I work part-time and remotely, which means I am home for the majority of the day and can give your pet plenty of individual attention, frequent potty breaks, and low-stress companionship. Because I work from my peaceful home environment, I can easily stick to your pet’s normal daily rhythm—whether that’s a midday backyard break, regular feeding times, or just having a cozy lap available while I work. Whether caring for pets in my own home or visiting yours, safety, comfort, and respect for routine are my top priorities. In My Home (Boarding): I use a low-stress, step-by-step transition process for feline guests. Just like my rescue fosters, visiting cats start out in a cozy, dedicated space (like a private room) with all their essentials until they feel confident enough to explore the rest of the house at their own pace. For dogs, I maintain a secure, calm environment and ensure my backyard is fully supervised during outdoor breaks. In Your Home (Drop-Ins): I follow your exact instructions to keep your pet’s routine seamless. My visits typically begin with fresh food, water, and litter/potty care. Once their primary needs are met, I spend the remaining time providing gentle affection, low-key play, or simply quiet companionship—always ensuring your home is kept secure and key logistics are handled with complete accountability.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Snows Corner walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Snows Corner maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Snows Corner choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
