“Lila was wonderful, thoughtful and gentle with Sparky. We came home and he was happy and we felt that he was well taken care of. The daily check ins were fun and we felt comfortable and relaxed that he was with a kind and compassionate person. Thank you again for all you did.”

“Kathleen has been very reliable and has always provided feedback along with pic’s immediately after her visits with our Sophie. We have great piece of mind knowing that our Sophie is well taken care of.”

“Kailyn is amazing!! We left our kitties in her care for 9 days, and she took the best care of them! She was very professional and communicated extremely well! There was a snow storm when we were away, and she was great at keeping us updated on road closures and travel difficulties! I would recommend her to anyone who needs their cats or dogs taken care of! We plan on using her services in the future! Our kitties will miss seeing her daily!”

“This was our first time using Maria for a drop in and she was fantastic! She has great communication, followed instructions perfectly and my dogs seemed to love her! We will definitely rebook with her!”

“Stephen was very responsive. We reached out to him kind of last minute, but he was still able to set up a meet and greet prior to his drop in visit. I would highly recommend him. very professional, and my dogs seems to really like him.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting on and off for the last twenty years. I have two dogs with disabilities, a deaf cattle dog and an anxious sharpei-boxer with GI issues. I understand dogs and connect easily with many kinds of animals. I’m comfortable giving medications and working with reactive/anxious animals. My work is remote, freelance, and very part-time. My schedule is very relaxed and open. I prefer to spend time with my pets or others’ pets. When I enter a clients home I’m there for the animals. I’m mindful and respectful of their property and space. If I’m there for a walk, I’ll get the pup harnessed up and ready to go as soon as possible, according to the needs of the dog. If I’m there for a drop-in I’ll make sure I do what I’m there to do.
“Aubreigh is so kind and sweet. We were super nervous about letting someone in our house to care for our pets but she put us at ease. She had great contact with us and lives in our dogs like they were hers. She went above and beyond and I would highly recommend her.”

“Emma was fantastic with our three cats as we took a long road trip to New Hampshire and back over the long weekend. She was very communicative the entire time and made sure that my cat that needs medication and an inhaler had both each day. She also kept us up to date about an accident that my cat had, cleaned it, and left the place spotless for us to come home. Emma is a great pet sitter!”

“Mason was a phenomenal pet sitter. She was able to fulfill my need for a pet sitter during a holiday weekend, given less than 2 weeks notice. Mason gave prompt reports on my cat and even fed my aquarium fish and watered my indoor plants. She was patient with my feisty indoor cat, responding mindfully to my cat’s communication cues demanding space. I highly recommend Mason! 5/5 stars”

About: Hi! My name is Sarah and I adore animals, I have had dogs, cats and horses all my life and I understand the importance of the love and care that they receive. I understand animals need love and affection from their caretakers but they also need structure in their life, and it is our job as their caretakers to give them that! I have experience with animals of all shapes and sizes from a litter of kittens, to a 200 lb English Mastiff! The proper handling and care of animals is important to me, and I strive to meet and exceed your expectations. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members! I work full time and this is a side gig for me to do outside of that job to still interact with animals and do what I love. I work from 7:30 to 2:30 on weekdays (I'm off in the summer months) so I wouldn’t be able to do midday drop ins those days. I like to keep your animals’ daily life as consistent as possible. I try to structure their day so it is consistent with their routines at home, such as walks, medications, meal times, etc. I work 7:30-2:30 on weekdays during the school year, but otherwise I can fit other things around that. I usually feed around 6:30am and anytime in the afternoon. We have a fenced in yard and we go on regular walks, especially at the nature reserve near our place. We have toys, treats, food & water bowls, crates for smaller dogs, dog beds, leashes, etc in case the dog comes over last minute, but we always encourage owners to bring anything that they like with their animals.
“We will always call Bridget, and I will reconsider traveling if she is not available. She is a wonderful caretaker and friend to my feline companion. We feel very lucky to have found her. She is trustworthy, reliable and loving. Go with Bridget when looking for a sitter.”

“Elizabeth was extremely caring and responsible for our two cats during a month long trip during the winter (including bad weather). We would definitely recommend her for providing care for any fur family members.”

I have 3 years experience dog sitting in my neighborhood back home. I have stayed at client's houses for up to two weeks watching their pets and homes. I work full time but am mostly remote so I can leave throughout the day or bring my laptop to places that have Wi-Fi access. I am very flexible My 3 cats are indoor cats only. I take their safety and health very seriously and make sure they are happy and loved at all times!
“Skylar did a fantastic job taking care of my two cats while I was away for 2 weeks on business. My cats warmed up to her quickly. The care was complicated by some medical issues with my cats, and the fact that I had just recently moved to a new place, but she handled everything fantastically and kept the cats happy and healthy”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 44 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Smyrna. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
