“Our terrier mix puppy has been going to Grace’s for a few weeks now (2x weekly for a full work day) and I can’t say enough good things! My husband and I found Grace because on the days my husband can’t come home during lunch, we didn’t want our puppy to be crated or left unattended all day. Grace and her family treat our puppy like their own dog, she becomes part of their family while she’s there. She gets tons of playtime, attention, affection. I absolutely love seeing the “report card” pictures after each day. It’s very clear my puppy is well cared for during her visits. It’s now to the point when we’re pulling up to Grace’s, our puppy gets excited because she knows where she’s at! 10/10 recommend!”

“Stacy was awesome! Cappy had a great first stay with her and her family. She was very attentive to his needs and communicated with me about how he was doing! Cappy will definitely be staying with Stacy again!”

“Charissa was amazing with our last minute planning and willing to babysit our fur baby. Our pup loves attention and affection from anyone and everyone but he felt completely at home within her home and that’s the best feeling when you know your pet is doing well. 10 out of 10. Would recommend.”

“We are so very lucky that Mai was able to help us out in a pinch! She was very communicative, sending lots of updates, photos, and taking care of our girl as if she were her own! Will definitely use Mai again.”

“Angelita and her wonderful family were absolutely amazing with my dog! From the moment we arrived, they welcomed her with so much love and care that she felt right at home. Angelita updated us with photos, messages, and little stories about her day. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Angelita and her family treated our pup like one of their own, and we are so grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!”

About: My animal-loving 17 year old daughter would love to play with your pet and take care of him/her. I will be helping her in every way. I've had dogs since I was a kid, so I know how to care for them. Currently we have two cats and a Chihuahua named Buddy. I work from home so your pet will not be alone for long periods of time and will have frequent bathroom breaks. I work flexible hours from home so I am always available and can take breaks to play with or walk your pet. My kids are eager to help. I have a backyard and live in a neighborhood with lots of places to walk with your dog. My own dog is not aggressive towards any pets.
About: We’re an empty nest couple with no children or other pets in the home. We recently lost our beloved dog and while we’re enjoying the freedom of not having a pet, we still love caring for furry friends! Our home has a fully fenced yard and we’re ready to provide a safe, loving environment for your dog while you’re away! We own a business and operate out of our home so there’s always someone around to give your pet attention, feedings and potty breaks throughout the day. We provide attentive, loving care for your pet. Dogs are let out on a regular schedule for potty breaks, exercise, and fresh air. Weather permitting, they’ll enjoy supervised playtime in our fenced in yard. We give plenty of attention, belly rubs and companionship so your pup feels safe.
“My dog spent a day with Gwendoline in advance of an overnight stay in the near future. Wow! I've used Rover several times for daycare and boarding and this was by far the best setup and experience as a pet owner! I even got a report at the end of the day with details on my dogs potty and drink breaks and lots of extra photos! Although leaving my pet is really hard, I feel like he will be really well cared for with Gwendoline!”

“My boyfriend and I had to come back to re-emphasize how great Olivia has been with our puppy and our schedule. We appreciate her so much! Attentive, professional, accommodating and a GREAT puppy sitter!! Choose her for your next booking!!”

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including raising and training a high-energy Vizsla. I’m very comfortable with athletic breeds that require structured exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent leadership. As an ultra-runner, I live an active lifestyle and understand how important physical activity is for a dog’s behavior and overall well-being. I’m confident handling strong dogs on leash, reinforcing basic commands, and maintaining clear boundaries in a calm, patient way. Because I work remotely, I have flexibility in my schedule and can reliably plan visits around your pet’s routine. I structure my week intentionally to ensure I’m never overbooked and can give each pet focused attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to reduce stress. I follow feeding schedules carefully, reinforce any existing training or boundaries, and ensure water, litter boxes, and living areas remain clean and organized. For dogs, I tailor walks and exercise to their energy level while maintaining safe leash handling and awareness of surroundings. For cats, I focus on calm interaction, litter maintenance, enrichment, and respecting their comfort level. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own — locking doors securely, communicating clearly, and providing updates with photos when appropriate. If providing care in my home, I maintain a structured, safe environment with supervision and separation when needed to ensure comfort and safety for all pets.
“Emily was absolutely the best. She gave me updates on TJ while we were being tourists. Her home is very welcoming as is Emily. I immediately liked her from the moment we met. I felt very comfortable leaving TJ in Emily’s capable hands. A bonus is her son played with TJ. Would book again if ever we are in the area again. Thank you Emily !!”

Flexible daily daycare and weekend overnight boarding in a safe and loving home. Dogs enjoy full access to the house and a large fenced in yard.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 799 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Smyrna. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Smyrna commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 799 sitters in Smyrna, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
