“Alexis was a dream to work with. We are a big family of furry creatures and both mommies were super anxious to leave the pups. But, Alexis was a champ - did two meet and greets, took really good direction, and assuaged us of any fears we had. She was a life saver in a tricky situation. AND, our animals loved her! We truly appreciate the care, professionalism, and kindness that Alexis offered our family. We highly recommend her.”

“I can't say enough good things about Rebekah and her care for our boys! She went above and beyond our expectations! I felt like our 3 cats were in very good hands while we were away. She kept in touch with us, gave updates and sent pictures. I'm so impressed with her genuine care and joy in what she does. She spent quality time with them which I know they enjoyed. I will definitely book with her regularly!”

“Katie was such a great sitter for our cat Gooby! She was always on time, sent plenty of photos each visit, and kept our house neat and tidy. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!”
“Heather was the most AWESOME pet sitter we have ever had!! She sent a ton of photos, videos, & verbal updates. Our dog has puppy energy & also has medical needs, but Heather handled it with no problem!! Our pup was tuckered out & happy when we got home.”

About: I am a German Shepherd breeder, and have raised, trained and cared for dogs my entire life. I am able to keep your pet with my friendly play groups, or provide independent time. I am home almost every day for 90% of the day, so I'm always here to tend to the dogs and provide round the clock care for my own and my clients dogs. I have a fenced yard for dogs who get along with my other dogs, they can join our pre existing play groups. Independent walks and play can also be provided for the dogs less keen on making friends. I can do drop ins for any pets, furry, feathered or otherwise, but I am only able to board dogs 20+lbs at my home.
“I am grateful that Haley was available and provided such excellent care to my babies. I would definitely recommend and am looking forward to having her watch my babies in the future.”

“Ansley is great with the cats and plays with them and shows them all the love. She goes above and beyond and even brought some Amazon packages in for us. Highly recommend, and will continue asking for her if she’s available.”

“Lindsay was great with our animals. Lindsey followed up every checkin with some pictures or a note on activities. She was great and helped make our vacation enjoyable knowing our animals are cared for.”

“Reggie was very grateful to have Carissa come and visit. He warmed up to her quickly and loved having someone to give him pets. Carissa was communicative and managed to take some great pictures even while Reggie was demanding attention. She also brought in some packages that weren't expected to arrive while I was gone. Although it is not very often that we need a sitter, when we do, I will definitely try to rebook with Carissa.”

About: I’ve been loving and caring for dogs since I was young, and am currently raising my own three: Jax, Chihiro, & Delta. I’m also experienced with cats through informal care of outdoor/community cats. I’m known to be attentive & reliable, and I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, and daily routines. I’m currently working full-time, (9-4:30 Mon-Fri), but I have availability from 6-8:30am & 5-11:30pm Mon-Fri, and 5am-11:30pm on the weekends. I listen to every pet parent, noting down important information that’ll help me provide the best care to their pets. I ensure that the environment is clean and safe to roam, food is provided correctly, and that the pet is given enough love and attention.

“Jasper is kind, reliable, and respectful of personal property. I was very nervous leaving our dogs in someone else's care, but Jasper took time for a meet and greet beforehand which really helped alleviate anxiety for myself and my dogs. It was also nice getting lots of picture updates plus potty and feeding updates as well. I would love to work with this sitter again in the future!”

My husband is an experienced dog trainer. We would love to love on your babies while you enjoy your time away. Pet sitting fits beautifully into our daily rhythm, and your pets will be loved like part of our family. Being home most of the day lets us give extra attention to your babies! I’d be happy to help with pick-up and drop-off if needed. I’m flexible and can work around your schedule to make things easy for you and your pup! Just let me know the times that work best. We have a fenced-in yard, two sweet, friendly girl dogs, and one gentle elderly male dog. I’m home throughout the day, so your pet will have lots of love and attention. Having a fenced-in yard with plenty of room to run and play will give your babies the care and attention they deserve! Your dog will be in my home, where they’ll be spoiled, loved on, and treated like family. After some fun playtime outside, the cuddles happen inside—your pup will have a cozy space to relax and feel right at home.
About: I have spent my life around cats and dogs, and currently have a 5 year old dog of my own. My family also fosters and homes dogs to this day so the love for animals runs deep! I am familiar with training of animals, walking them, caring for medical needs, and providing all the pets they want and need! I have a lot of free time outside of my full time job and would love to spend it around animals. My schedule is flexible and always changing so I can accept a wide range of pet sitting/walking/feeding. I care for my dog in a very loving manner, he is pet constantly, taken on a generous amount of walks, and steals a lot of my attention for throwing his ball.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Smiths Station. On Rover:

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
