About: I've been an animal lover and owner all my life (dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, horses, goats, pot-belly pigs, etc.) until a few years ago when I lost my last dog. I decided then that I wasn't going to get a new dog or cat, at least for now, and only love on others' pets. I've been pet and housesitting for the last five+ years, am extremely responsible, and have excellent local references. I'm a freelance book editor and formatter working from home (I also build websites), have a flexible schedule, and am able to work from anywhere with good wifi signal that I can have access to. I also work a part-time job in Oldham County that I go to several times a week so pets must be able to stay alone at least 7 hours at a time. Because I primarily work from wherever I'm staying, I cannot stay with high-maintenance pets who require a high amount of attention. I am living in the east end of Louisville (Prospect) area and would love to help you with your pet needs! Non-smoking homes only please! Rates for house and pet sitting are for a 24 hour period, so anything beyond that will be an additional $15.00/hour (or a full-day rate, whichever is less - NOT the extended care rates just added by Rover that they will not let me remove). Please let me know if you have any questions! Since I work a part-time job, the pets must be able to stay at home for at least 7 hours at a time. Other days I work from wherever I'm staying. Each pet and family have various needs so I will discuss particulars with you before the stay to make sure it's a good fit for everyone.

About: Our family currently has 8 pets ( 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 1 rabbits.) Inside our family unit pets are a responsibility of love we all take on. This has allowed my children to see the deeper side of what it takes to love an animal. Slowly gaining trust with each pet has become second nature to us. I Grew up my whole life with animals, but personally started caring for pets myself at 16 starting with a ferret. We have walked the road of behavioral issues to old aged pets as well. This year I started pet sitting and decided to continue that journey. Thanks for considering our family to care for your family while you're away. We are a homeschool family which allows our time to be extremely flexible. While we are busy, we are also the only ones dictating our time. So we manage time well and around the families we are helping. Obviously during summer school is out for us and the fun begins. At our home we have a fenced section and an electric fence for our pets that covers 4 acres. If your pet is trained on this type of fence he/she can run the whole yard. If they are not trained on electric fences they can run in our fenced in area attached to the back of our home. Inside that fenced in area is another fence around our unground pool. We are offering doggie swim & splash time in the inground pool. We will also have a baby pool they can jump in. We have 4 dog kennels in our air conditioned/ heated garage for boarding when they are not playing outside. Garage door will be kept shut and only a side locked door will be used to enter in and out of. I will also be getting dog first aid/CPR certified soon. Our vets office is 2 minutes down the road from us as well. I will also be cleaning the kennels between each dog with the same chemicals the vet uses to kill diseases and is safe for animals. Knowing your dogs temperament and personality will help us secure his/her safety and others. We have a questionnaire to help us get to know your pet and it’s needs.

About: I grew up with dogs and around other animals my entire life so not so shocking, I love animals! I personally have trained two puppies basic commands and had the privilege of caring for our elderly family dog who required insulin before every meal. I'm currently working part time and know my schedule typically 4-6 weeks in advance so I'm happy to accommodate anyway that I can. Please feel free to reach out. I can also help you with any obedience or maybe you want to teach your dog a new trick well i can help. I can help you with your all around dog needs!! My daily routine is all about dogs! I am a part time groomer, that specializes in doodles of all sizes. I also worked as a puppy raiser for protection dogs and service dogs. I also owned a doggy daycare for over a year. All things dogs all day. Every fur baby is different and when it comes to dogs you have to be prepared and ready for anything. There is nothing I can't handle when it comes to your fur babies needs.

About: Every companion has their own individual personality, and I'm here to adapt to whatever your pet's wants and needs may be! Myself and my two dogs, Richardt and Darryl, live in a quiet, kid-free house on four acres of fenced in land. The property is also located near multiple parks for added exploration and walks, if desired. Both of my dogs love other dogs of all breeds and sizes. Richardt is an 11 year old senior Boston Terrier with an incredibly laidback personality, and Darryl is a 2 year old Boston Terrier pup with a playful, curious energy about him. I've been working professionally with animals for the past 12+ years, and have been a proud pet parent for even longer. My work history includes five plus years with the Animal Care Society, Treat's Pet Resort, and PetSuites Resort & Spa, as well as caring for my own personal clients' pets for the past 18 years. I'm available all days of the week, at virtually any time you might need. The environment your pet will be cared for in is one that provides calmness, safety, and security. Whatever your pet's desires may be, you can expect for them to be met by my two dogs and myself. If they want to play, we can play! If they want to nap, we can nap! It's your dog's world, we will merely just be living in it. I have two additional crates your pet(s) can use, if needed. In addition to crating, I also have a baby gate if you think your pet might prefer some time away from others at any point during their stay. You can rest assured knowing that your dog will have the perfect balance of structure, play, and relaxation when staying with us.

About: Help me save to adopt a shelter dog!! I have been around dogs and animals of all kinds for 20 years now, I have raised a puppy of my own who is currently 5. I trained my puppy fully and am currently enrolled in a dog psych class which is all about keeping dogs happy and reducing animal stress. I also have experience with other kinds of animals such as hamsters and a 6 year old leopard gecko! I am currently a college student who lives on campus. I do not have a job so my hours are extremely flexible and will be able to spend long amounts of time with your pet!! i am very responsible and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I understand these pets are your babies and will treat them as if they were my babies too :)

About: Never had my childhood home had less than 5 animals. I've grown up taking care of dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rats, mice, gerbils, bunnies, and turtles-most of those under solely my care. I've always loved caring for my animals and watching them grow. I'm currently not working outside of the home. I am a stay at home mom so I will be available for your animals full time! We have a 3200 sq ft 2 level home with a large unfenced yard. I have one friendly 8 year old female labradoodle, one very sweet, friendly, and energetic 1 year old newfoundland mix, and another very nonchalant 5 year old male cat. I also have a 8 year old son and a 2 year old son who both love and respect animals. Our home is a very comfortable space for any kid friendly animal to enjoy. We feed 2x a day, let them out to potty at least 4x a day-I will leash if necessary.

About: Family and friends always trust me to watch their pets. I’ll love them like my own, and provide the upmost quality care for your fur baby! I’m currently working part time and doing my masters program online, therefore I have a very flexible schedule which makes it easy for me to be there when needed. About: I’m a dog trainer with 5+ years of experience and I own my own training business, Canine Communication, LLC. I’ve worked with almost every breed of dog and specialize in obedience, manners, and puppy development; I have also trained therapy dogs and protection dogs. I am well versed in animal behavior and pride myself on helping my training clients better communicate with their canine companions. Before starting my training career, I dog sat while I attended Bellarmine University. I have dog sat for several families in their homes and have also boarded dogs in my home through my training career. As a dog trainer who owns her own business, I have a great deal of flexibility which allows me to not only serve my training clients, but to best serve my walking and sitting clients as well. My schedule allows me to ensure all dogs under my care receive dedicated time and attention. I live on a few acres and have multiple long lines (long leashes that are 15-20 feet) that I use to potty break and walk client dogs around the property. They get to romp and sniff and enjoy a sense of freedom while still safely on leash. I have multiple crates of varying sizes inside that I use when I am not home. Pet safety and health is paramount for me.

About: I've personally had dogs for over 20+ years. My pack has been as small as 1, but as large as 5. I've been active in rescue groups and truly feel like dogs are the answer for any sadness. I've recently lost my soul dog after a 2 year struggle with cancer. My heart isn't ready for another dog, so I am hoping I can still get my cuddles in and help people out in the meantime. I've become a pro at giving medicine, so if you need a midday dose giver, Im your gal! I'm a realtor, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I can make most days or evenings work. Whatever your pup needs, I can make it happen! I follow orders, so I won't put your dog into a situation they aren't familiar with. I totally get all animals are different and respect how people work with their own.

About: I have owned a variety of different pets since the young age of 7. I have yet to meet a animal that I did not instantly fall in love with. Long neighborhood walks, playing fetch (inside or outside) and watching doggy tv on YouTube are some of my favorite activities. I have also administered many different medications (oral and topical), master belly rubber and all around pet lover! I’m currently working part time away from home and part time at home so I am available just about every day to play, walk and love on your sweet furry companion! I have a fully fenced yard, two wonderful dogs and two cats of my own that are all fixed and up to date on vaccinations with a large enough house for separation if needed.

About: I’ve cared for my bulldog at home for many years now and make frequent visits to my grandmothers house to help her take care of her beagles. I have always had a passion to make animals specifically dogs time on earth the best it can be. I know they are incredibly misunderstood and no matter the animal, I have always found a way to get along with the fur baby. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 8 years old! Friends, family & neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their pets while they are working or away on vacation! I have recently trained my two puppies, and prior to that trained my sisters dog for several years. I also have experience administering medication to both cats and dogs!
