“Really pleased with the "home away from home" atmosphere that Kalea & Tristan provided for our 8-month-old Clumber Spaniel, Virgil. It was his first night away from us since my wife and I picked him up from the breeder in January (and our first experience with Rover), and we were both a little uneasy about leaving our velcro dog with anyone else. About: I have owned dogs & a cat for all my life! I have experience with all sizes, breeds, and attitudes. I have personally owned a gray cat, Yorkie, Rottweiler, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and a chocolate Lab. I have experience with all ages as well from puppies/kittens to elderly animals. I am currently in graduate school for my Master’s and do it online so I am home almost all day. Your pet will definitely get the one-on-one time they want and need. I love having an animal to keep me company! I live in an apartment but my complex has plenty of space to do walks and a fenced in yard for any dogs who want to run around. Personally, I also don’t mind animals who like to lay on the couch or chairs or similar furniture.
“Toad had a great time ! She got to run around in a lovely huge backyard and had constant attention, plus another Pug to play with. She even got to explore the neighborhood with walks. I can tell she misses her new Pug friend too. Abby even mixed some of her own food with Toads to get to her to eat there since she was a little nervous the first day. I was kept updated with pictures and communication the whole time. I can tell Toad had a wonderful time and would use Abigail again to watch Toad for a day or boarding without hesitation!”

About: I have been passionate about taking care of animals since I volunteered at my first animal shelter cleaning cages at 11 years old. I have been fortunate enough to carry that into adulthood, partnering with two local shelters. I have dedicated thousands of hours in my home to fostering and supporting the adoption of local shelter dogs for the last two years. In my personal time, when not volunteering, I am training for an upcoming marathon, so for pups who require more than an afternoon stroll, I am happy to have them tag along on my runs, short or long distance! I have one Persian cat named Sir Alfred who is 12 years bold, and a 2 year old Doberman named Circe, who both have plenty of experience welcoming new faces into our home. I have experience with more aggressive dogs and cats, and I am comfortable with dogs that might be considered difficult on a leash. I work full time, and also serve in the Army reserves one month a year locally, but I am available for lunch, evening, and weekend walks/stop ins. For boarding, I am able to spend time before and after work, as well as hour long lunch breaks with my house guests! When I have guests who aren’t very cat friendly, my cat has his own safe room in the house that he stays. My dog Circe goes for a morning run with me every morning, and is crated during the day while I work. I spend my weekends taking her to local parks or events. I have a fenced in back yard that everyone has access to at their own enjoyment. My live in partner and I work together with our pets to ensure they are always mentally and physically stimulated.
