“We have used Ray several times to pupsit our two dogs. They always have a good time and we are confident they are being well cared for. They get MUCH MORE EXERCISE there than at a kennel, being able to romp in the yard with the other dogs. Ray is also extremely easy to communicate with. HIghly recommend!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with pets and have spent my life feeding, walking, playing with, and caring for animals of all ages. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and deserves patience, love, and attention. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, cuddles, medication reminders, or just someone to keep them company, I'll care for them as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust, and my goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable and happy while you're away. I currently offer pet care Friday through Sunday. During the weekends, I'm able to provide attentive care, including walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of love and companionship. I only accept bookings when I know I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve, so your furry family member will receive quality care while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a securely fenced yard and a fenced outdoor patio where dogs can safely enjoy fresh air and play under supervision. Pets are never left unattended outside. Inside, they are treated like family with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I can follow your pet's normal routine, administer medications if needed, and accommodate crate-trained dogs if that is part of their routine. I also have two friendly Yorkshire Terriers who enjoy meeting other dogs, but I always introduce pets carefully to ensure everyone is comfortable.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities since childhood. I’m experienced with daily routines like feeding, walking, bathing, administering basic medications, and reinforcing training. I’m especially patient with anxious, senior, and rescue dogs and always prioritize safety, comfort, and positive interactions. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work part-time and structure my days around animal care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and extended visits during the week, with extra flexibility on weekends. I enjoy giving pets consistent attention, enrichment, and calm companionship throughout the day. I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and follow each pet’s routine closely. I’m attentive to behavioral cues, leash safety, and home rules. Whether in my home or yours, I prioritize secure spaces, supervision, and clear communication with pet parents so pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I have a large fenced backyard.

About: Most of my experience comes from caring for my senior beagle, who I’ve raised since he was a puppy. He still has plenty of energy, so I’m very used to daily walks, playtime, and keeping a steady routine. I study from home most days, so I’m around a lot and can give dogs regular breaks, attention, and a calm place to hang out. I’m a medical student who studies from home most days, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I already take my own dog out for daily walks and breaks, so adding another dog to that schedule works well. I can easily fit in regular walks, feeding times, playtime, and checkins throughout the day. I live in a pet-friendly with plenty of open areas to walk. Inside, I keep a clean, supervised, and cozy home. I treat every dog gently and carefully, just like I treat my own.

About: I was raised with cats and dogs my whole life. We have had our fur baby since he was 6 weeks old and he is now 4 years old. His name is Chunk. He loves children, animals his best friend is Baxter he is 12 years old and he is a Schnauzer. I have had a cleaning business for a little over 10 years and even tho is was not apart of my job I started falling in love with my customers babies. I will love on them, take them out to potty, give them fresh water and treats and clean up any messes they have made and then I decided to start offering to take care of them for the customers if they needed a sitter. So I take care of both cats and dogs. I never knew that I could love these babies as much as I love my family, I consider all the fur babies my family. My Chunk Chunk is my very best friend. I am his person. I potty trained him, I taught him to sit, shake, lay, and when I use the word calm if he gets super excited then he will automatically sit and behave. He is very playful with other animals. He has never been aggressive or biten anyone bc all he has ever known is love. If you choose me to take care of your babies know that I will take care of them and love them as if they were my own children. We are animal lovers and would love to meet and have more fur babies in out lives. I clean houses part time. So I am very flexible when it comes to your babies routine. When I speak with the customer I always like for the customer to write a list of the babies daily routine and then I have a filing system set up with all your babies information so we make sure everything is done when it supposed to be and then I set a reminder and a timer for breakfast time, lunch time, dinner time, snack time, and if medication is needed as well. I am super ocd so I have a folder for every baby to keep records of everything. If your baby is at my home we live in a 3 bedroom apartment they are free to run around anywhere and they are allowed on the couch and the bed. Alot of times we sit on the couch or floor with them and watch TV and get the puppy toys out and let them play. We take the puppies out multiple times a day to go potty or to go walk and let them play outside. If I watch them at your home I do like a list of instructions and what they're normal routine is so I can keep them comfortable and happy and I want them to feel safe with me. I like to learn they're personalities so I can learn who they are, what they like and what they don't like. I am one who loves to hold them alot and pet them.

Kayla was amazing! She watched my dog for a few days and kept me updated every single day, which gave me real peace of mind. This was my first time using a sitter, and she made the whole process feel easy and completely stress-free. I could tell my dog was well taken care of and in good hands. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter than Kayla! She took such wonderful care of our sweet Sage and sent frequent photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Kayla is such a kind, genuine person, and truly cares about dogs. We're so grateful we found her and would absolutely trust her with Sage again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Smarr home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Smarr.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Smarr sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
