About: We are a military family, we’ve moved around quite a bit and have opened our home to so many dogs in so many different states. I have 3 kids who are used to animals (especially bigger dogs). We have a private yard (unfenced, leads and leashes used and always supervised). We recently welcomed a dog permanently into our home so we do have one female dog in the house, she is crated when needed and very friendly otherwise. I’m home all day and would love a buddy or two to join us from time to time! I only ask that dogs are kid friendly! We don’t mind animals on furniture but will adhere to any at home rules you may set (if you don’t allow them to do certain things at home, I won’t deter any training and let them do it here and vice versa!). Crate trained dogs are preferred but definitely not required! Just know a lot of dogs may do better in a new setting by having their own spaces to retreat to! I’m a stay at home mom, other than school drop off/pick up & errands, I’m home to care for pets in my home or visit a pet in their home We treat all pets like they're part of the family. About: Hello. I have extensive experience with a variety of animals. As a child I rescued stray cats, dogs, and different wildlife. I've had cats, dogs, turtles, rabbits, domesticated rats...literally everything. I currently have 4 rescued ducks, 2 rescued turtles, turkeys and 4 baby tortoises (inside). I have a fenced in yard and numerous references. I do have 4 small kids. I work from home. If a pet is skittish around children, I keep them in my room so there is calmness. I also have a completely seperate room that can be used if they prefer even less human contact. ***PLEASE send a collar and leash when boarding a dog I work from home so your pup would have constant attention as they'd be hanging out with me. I do have a fenced in backyard (it has my outdoor animals it in). If the pup isnt good around farm animal, potty breaks can be on a leash in my front yard I have a fenced in backyard. I am okay with a dog that sleeps in a cage overnight...or not. There's definitely flexibility there if the dog isnt destructive. I will ensure the pup is comfortable and entertained.

They can enjoy supervised indoor play, outdoor time in my fenced backyard, & regular potty breaks every 2 hours. I follow each dog's individual routine based on the information you provide prior to their stay, including feeding schedules, medications, & any special care instructions. For safety, dogs are separated during feeding & may be kenneled for sleeping, rest periods, or arrivals & departures when appropriate. My limited capacity allows me to provide each dog with plenty of attention & care. I've spent over 25 years caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, & personalities. My dropoff/pickup windows are currently Monday through Friday, 7AM to 10AM & 4PM to 7PM, and Saturday through Sunday 8AM to 10AM. Though dogs are free to roam & play while staying with me, during other dropoffs & pickups, dogs are always secured in kennels for their safety.

When I went to pick him up, he was glad to see me but not frantic at all. I have never taken him to doggie day care or boarding when he didn’t come home stressed. Today was incredible. He was relaxed and happy. I will definitely book Katyra again and intend to use her for boarding when we go on vacation. She is kind and patient. She figured out that Thor is really chill as long as he is near or can see people. She also figured out that he likes to look out the window and opened the shades for him.
