“First time dog parent. First time Rover app user. So glad Monty & I connected with Raquel. From first point of contact, meet and greet, day one and day two of doggy care was absolutely amazing. Raquel is a genuine, authentic, dog care provider. Communication ✅. Care Expectations Met ✅. Very Responsive✅. Professional✅. Personable✅. She’s passionate about caring for dogs and it is shown through her attentiveness to the well-being of dogs while under her care. Raquel’s sitter etiquette is superb. To see her love on Monty at drop-off and pick up gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was being left in good hands. To make things even better she shared updates via pics and videos throughout the day on each doggy daycare visit. Hands down, we’ll be re-booking Raquel. #RaquelROCKS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I like that I was able to take a tour, inside and out, of where my girls would be during daycare. The property was kept clean and well maintained. I appreciated the pictures and updates throughout the day. I had an overall very positive experience and would definitely recommend.”

“Sebastian and his family were so very kind—and my Jet had a great time with them!! We will definitely call on them for our Rover needs anytime we are visiting Columbia! Thanks for an awesome experience! ❤️”

“Luiza took amazing care of my pup. She clearly made Zoey’s care and well being a priority . I felt very confident and safe leaving Zoey with her and will certainly contact her again if we are in the area .”

About: I have had animals my whole life, never been able to live without at least 2. I love working with animals and their unique personalities. Every animal has their own quirks, and I would love to help care for your fur baby! I am available any days for boarding. Ruth and I go for a walk in the morning, in the evening, as well as playing out in the yard in between. We spend most of the night playing or lounging around the house. Ruth is typically crated at home, and I would prefer for your dog to have a crate as well so they have a space all to their own while staying with us. I have a large yard and a fence, and always monitor the dogs when outside. When interacting with any animal, I always make sure to be calm and gentle. I do my best to read animal body language and predict and prevent situations before they happen.
“Daisy is SO KIND, she’s very attentive to your pet and treats them like family. And she’s very willing to work with your schedule. Next time I’m in Columbia I will be using her again, thank you daisy for your kindness, you’re wonderful!”

“It was a hot day at the beach and I didn’t feel comfortable taking my dog with me. I needed someone to watch my dog for a few hours. Vas was wonderful! She was very friendly, responsive, and the communication with her couldn’t have been any easier. She kept me updated on my dog and sent me pictures. I spent my time at the beach with absolute peace of mind knowing that she is watching my dog closely and he is receiving the best service. My dog loved her and her daughter. Highly recommend Vas and I will definitely ask for her help the next time visiting the area.”

“Shannon always takes such great care of my boy. He goes to day care at her house weekly, and is always so excited to jump out of the car and run to her door! He has made a new best friend with her sweet girl! I recommend her over and over, she will treat your baby as her own!”

About: Hello y’all! I am very experienced in training dogs and caring for dogs, cats, and most other animals. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. My prior amazing pittie, Bo Peep, was deaf. Thus, I know ASL commands and signs from training her myself. So, I am able to work well with other deaf/hard-of-hearing animals. I’ve been lucky enough to have and/or care for all sorts of animals throughout my entire life, especially growing up as a feral child (haha) in Florida. I always tried to bring animals home (often to my mom’s dismay), and I’ve worked with various animals (e.g. birds of all sizes, reptiles, cats and dogs especially, horses, amphibians, fish, and some other farm animals). I have no problem giving medication or following any medical-related plans. I work with pets of all ages. I look forward to meeting y’all! I am currently a therapist that works remotely from home, so I am able to be with fur babies in-between clients throughout the day to meet their needs. I am very active, so plenty of walks for pups! With dogs and cats, I try to provide them with as much mental stimulation that I can (and maybe a few treats).
“Isabela was able to accommodate us last minute on a holiday, which was super helpful to our situation! Our dog had a great time, and came back to us super happy. Thank you!”

About: Hello. I have extensive experience with a variety of animals. As a child I rescued stray cats, dogs, and different wildlife. I've had cats, dogs, turtles, rabbits, domesticated rats...literally everything. I currently have 4 rescued ducks, 2 rescued turtles, turkeys and 4 baby tortoises (inside). I have a fenced in yard and numerous references. I do have 4 small kids. I work from home. If a pet is skittish around children, I keep them in my room so there is calmness. I also have a completely seperate room that can be used if they prefer even less human contact. ***PLEASE send a collar and leash when boarding a dog I work from home so your pup would have constant attention as they'd be hanging out with me. I do have a fenced in backyard (it has my outdoor animals it in). If the pup isnt good around farm animal, potty breaks can be on a leash in my front yard I have a fenced in backyard. I am okay with a dog that sleeps in a cage overnight...or not. There's definitely flexibility there if the dog isnt destructive. I will ensure the pup is comfortable and entertained.

About: Hey, I’m Aubree! I am a life long animal lover with lots of experience caring for all different types of animals. These pets have ranged from dogs and cats to even goats, horses and other farm animals. I am a stay at home mom and like to pet sit in my free time. I currently have 2 dogs, 2 goats, and a horse of my own so I definitely understand the care and love it takes to make them happy. My favorite thing about animals is how individual they are and how much personality each pet has. I would love the opportunity to be able to care for your pet. Please message with any questions or if you are interested in having me care for your pet. I am currently a stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty flexible! It allows me to be available for pet care all throughout the day. During meet and greets, I always like to discuss the best ways to interact with your pets! Each animal is so individual so it allows me to care for them in the best way possible.
“Exactly what we expected from their bio on Rover. Courteous, professional and punctual. We look forward to them taking care of our boys for a long time. Thank you Janece and Matthew.”

“We left two our two Australian Shepherd mixes with Paola for the day while attending a family reunion from out of town and were happy with their care. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 274 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Rion. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rion commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 274 sitters in Rion, 79% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
