âSebastian and his family were so very kindâand my Jet had a great time with them!! We will definitely call on them for our Rover needs anytime we are visiting Columbia! Thanks for an awesome experience! â¤ď¸â

About: Hello yâall! I am very experienced in training dogs and caring for dogs, cats, and most other animals. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. My prior amazing pittie, Bo Peep, was deaf. Thus, I know ASL commands and signs from training her myself. So, I am able to work well with other deaf/hard-of-hearing animals. Iâve been lucky enough to have and/or care for all sorts of animals throughout my entire life, especially growing up as a feral child (haha) in Florida. I always tried to bring animals home (often to my momâs dismay), and Iâve worked with various animals (e.g. birds of all sizes, reptiles, cats and dogs especially, horses, amphibians, fish, and some other farm animals). I have no problem giving medication or following any medical-related plans. I work with pets of all ages. I look forward to meeting yâall! I am currently a therapist that works remotely from home, so I am able to be with fur babies in-between clients throughout the day to meet their needs. I am very active, so plenty of walks for pups! With dogs and cats, I try to provide them with as much mental stimulation that I can (and maybe a few treats).
âGary was amazing. He was super friendly and very accommodating. Our pup, Rocky, seemed to have such a great time he almost didnât want to leave with us! We definitely recommend Gary and will surely use him in the future!â
About: I have had animals my whole life, never been able to live without at least 2. I love working with animals and their unique personalities. Every animal has their own quirks, and I would love to help care for your fur baby! I am available any days for boarding. Ruth and I go for a walk in the morning, in the evening, as well as playing out in the yard in between. We spend most of the night playing or lounging around the house. Ruth is typically crated at home, and I would prefer for your dog to have a crate as well so they have a space all to their own while staying with us. I have a large yard and a fence, and always monitor the dogs when outside. When interacting with any animal, I always make sure to be calm and gentle. I do my best to read animal body language and predict and prevent situations before they happen.
âGina was great with our senior dog while we attended a basketball game at USC. She was very responsive and even met us after the game so we could start our drive home sooner. She was responsive and took great care of our baby. Would definitely use again for dog sitting needs. Thanks Gina!â

âMy puppy had an amazing time! Super well taken care of, got updates throughout the day. Alexandria was also very understanding about my schedule changes. Will be coming back.â

About: My 1st Drop-In visit is free for multiple visits, just ask! While taking care of multiple pets in my household growing up and dogsitting for friends and family, I know the amount of care and love a dog needs to sustain a healthy and happy life. I like to stay physically active so walking, playing in the yard, or going to the park isn't a problem. I'm currently working part-time, so I do have time to spare for your pets! I am available mainly on the weekends, but during the week I am usually free for pet care/drop off/pick up. I have a fenced yard and a walking trail in my neighborhood for anytime the pups need to go out. I can keep your dog crated or let them roam free around the majority of the house if I am not home. I am available to feed and water your pets in the morning, afternoon, and evening if need be.
About: Since Iâve moved and havenât fixed or expanded the fence I donât prefer keeping dogs overnight unless you are comfortable with them only being leash walked. I also am a pawmetto foster so I frequently have other dogs and cats that spend time with me for a few months at a time. I have a active 2 year old so weâre mostly outside and doing outside activities and wouldnât mind friends! I work from home so Iâm home all day on Weekdays and stay busy on the weekends but usually outside at a park or the lake or a pool not many places when your baby will need to stay back for we love a good car riding buddy Iâve had many dogs and cats as a foster so Iâm also really good at following care instructions so whatever your preference is for your fur baby I can more than likely accommodate
About: I have years of experience owning animals. Iâve been training them professionally since 2016. All positive reinforcement. I can give you the reassurance of safety and love for your pet while youâre away, at work or just need a break. Iâm available any time really. I am also available to watch reptiles, or small furry friends. I donât discriminate against any animals. Cats as well but unfortunately not in my own home. I love them all. Message me for your pet needs and Iâll get back with you quickly! We have 2 adults in the home with different work schedules. A 7 year old son who loves to help. We a beautiful neighborhood to take leisure walks in, and the walking trail to harbison recreation center is right next to our house. We have a fully fenced back yard, great for escape artist. We can provide peace of mind for your fur , feathered and scaled babies. I do exactly what the parents request while giving the pets the patience and care they deserve. They will be in loving hands. Our goal is to make their stay stressless and enjoyable.
âTotally amazing! My dog can be slow to warm up to new people but she was able to make him feel comfortable and safe from the first day. I really appreciated the updates as well, would rebook any time I need a sitter.â

âJud and Nicole are great! Dexter stayed with them for a day and with the very first picture they sent us just a few minutes after we dropped him off, I could see how happy and comfortable he was with them. He also had lots of fun with his new friend Baxter. Now we can rest assured that our baby is in great hands when we go on a trip in a few weeks.â

âThey are absolutely great! We are doing the day care, and the first night Comet (my super SUPER high energy dog) came home tired! He had all day to play and run around. They have a great space for the dogs. Highly recommend! They sent me updates and kept me informed as well.â

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Bookman
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 256 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Bookman. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bookman commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 256 sitters in Bookman, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
