About: I been fostering kittens for two years with my partner, including bottle-feeding newborns, caring for young or special needs litters, and administering medications. It's been an incredibly rewarding experience and has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and animal care. I also have experience house-sitting for both cats and dogs through the Rover app, making sure pets stay happy and comfortable while their owners are away. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and always treat them like my own. I work full-time, but pet care is still a big part of my routine because I’m super flexible and adaptable. I’m comfortable managing tasks around my schedule and always prioritize making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for. When caring for pets in my home, especially kittens I’m fostering, I provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. I make sure they get plenty of social interaction and gentle handling to help them thrive. I also monitor their health closely and keep their space sanitized to prevent illness. When caring for pets in a client’s home through house sitting, I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding routines, medication, exercise, or playtime. I treat their home and pets with respect, maintaining the usual environment to keep pets comfortable and stress free. I also provide regular updates to owners so they feel connected and confident while away.
“Amanda is amazing 5atars Great communication Responded Within minutes of my inquiry . Responded with professionalism and was personable. Very sweet and easy to talk too. Gave me great updates on the walk. She handled my Belgian malinoise that's overweight about 150lbs. In addition so working with my other dog thatnis very timid - both were very responsive to her and trusted her. I would hire her again in the heartbeat. She has a very sweet and trusting demeanor.”

“Pazia has been great with my dog. He looks happy in the pictures she sends over. She made sure to have water for him and give him plenty of breaks as needed. I really appreciate so much.”

About: As an experienced dog sitter, I go beyond basic care by truly understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I have a natural ability to read their body language and adapt to their moods, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medications, following specific dietary plans, or providing enriching playtime and walks, I tailor my approach to each dog’s routine. My calm and attentive demeanor helps even the most anxious dogs feel at ease, and I maintain clear communication with pet owners for peace of mind. Having cared for my own senior Pomeranian, Zeus, until he was 14, I am particularly attuned to the special needs of older dogs, including administering medications and adjusting routines for their comfort. I currently have an year and a half year old Yellow Labrador Retriever named cooper, so well experienced with puppies I’m currently home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets lots of attention throughout the day. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or just extra cuddles and companionship, I’m able to be there consistently. I love getting outside for walks and making sure dogs stay mentally and physically happy while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like they’re my own and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of different ages, energy levels, and temperaments, including senior dogs and puppies. I always keep a close eye during walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment.
About: With over 10 years of experience caring for pets, I’ve been someone that my friends, family, and roommates can call when they need someone reliable to look after their animals. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all types like young, old, high energy, low maintenance, anxious, and affectionate. I’m comfortable handling everything from the basics like feeding, walks, and playtime to more involved care like medication, crate training, and senior routines. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals they tend to trust me quickly, and I take that seriously. I approach each pet with patience, respect, and a steady presence. Whether your dog needs a running buddy or your older cat just wants a quiet companion while you’re away, I’ll meet them where they’re at. I understand how important it is to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress free. I treat every animal like they’re my own with attention, care, and a commitment to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. As a Social Work student at Evergreen State College, I take online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule to focus on caring for pets. Outside of class, I dedicate my time to walking dogs, house sitting, and caring for pets while their families are away. Pet care is something I truly enjoy, and it fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m reliable, communicative, and available throughout the day for check-ins, playtime, walks, and overnight stays. When im taking care of your pet, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and mindful of your pet’s boundaries.

About: Animal lover here! I take very good care of dogs of all kinds as demonstrated by my volunteer and pet sitting experience. I have volunteered at shelters with scared dogs large and small, fostered and trained shelter puppies, was a babysitter for puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and served client families as a professional pet sitter. My role for others' fur babies is to provide care so that they have their needs met in their parents' absence. I am a great surrogate parent! I like to keep dog routines continued to minimize stress on pets and their people. For parents that don't have the time or for dogs that can use additional exercise, I can take dogs out for walks. I have also been a cat mom of 4 at once and love cats too! I have my dog, Brodie, and my routine revolves around him. I make sure he gets the memtal and physical stimulation and exercise he needs to be healthy and happy. I want to help my clients and pets with this as well for their families. I have a fenced yard and very dog-friendly set up at home. At client's homes, I respect the space and help pets feel secure in their routines with attention and care.
“Alright... where to begin! Brian did a wonderful meet and greet with my boys (two newfoundlands) and walked them today without me..that may seem like a strange thing to say but Byron (my younger boy) refuses to go on a walk for anyone but me - not even my husband! He was perfectly fine on going on the walk with Sinjin (my older boy) and Brian. No temper tantrums, no refusal to walk. NONE of it. Brian took them on a good walk, they had fun and their were no problems.”

“Ruby was absolutely wonderful! She walked Duke all week and was a great communicator throughout. She kept us updated every day, was reliable, and clearly cared for him like he was her own. We felt so at ease knowing Duke was in such good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“So happy Julie was available to walk our pups. We look forward to booking with her again. She sent a photo of the pups and texted me before and after the walks. We Highly recommend Julie.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 16 years old but have always had dogs of my own. I also worked as a veterinary tech throughout high school and have a lot of experience with all animals. I have 2 dogs of my own and 3 cats so as you can tell I just love being around animals. I will treat your baby/babies as if they’re my own. I have also fostered 5 kittens. I have flexibility as I work from home and only have a few calls per day. I have plenty of time to spend with your animals and give them all the love they need. We live in a new neighborhood right across from a lake with access to a beautiful park. We also have a fenced backyard with plenty of space for your animal to run around!
About: Juggling full-time studies and dedicated dog mom duties to German Shepard Stryker and rescue Doberman Luna. I’ve been raised with dogs and cats since childhood. As the go-to for family and friends in need of pet sitting, my reputation stands strong. I tend to spoil all the fur babies. Experienced with various breeds, adept at overcoming training and behavioral challenges. Your fur babies aren't just pets; they're family. Trust me to provide not just a service but a personalized, loving experience for your cherished family members. Your peace of mind, their wagging adventures. FYI the reason my rates are higher than expected is Rover takes out a big chunk. I have recently taken on an apprentice to take over my overflow of clients. If I’m unavailable for the dates you need, please message me and I can ask if she’s available. It’ll be at the same price rate, until she raises her rates. She really is great! Because of gas prices and time, travel outside of 10 mile/20 minute radius from home/Yelm will be charged travel cost per visit/day. As a dog mom myself, I understand the concern of leaving pets alone while at work. Offering dog walks, potty break, and house sitting in Thurston County and surrounding areas. My schedule is open all week Sunday-Saturday depending on availability. Reach out to schedule a meet and greet! I will not be offering stays at my house, but I can do house sitting. For house sitting please message me what dates/time you’re needing. I have made exceptions for last minute bookings when I’m available. At our meet and greet I’ll ask what their normal routines are and all their likes and dislikes. Please be aware that I may need to leave once a day during the weekdays my spouse works to let my doggo out, and possibly my regular drop ins depending when scheduled. To keep those away times at minimum please book far in advance so I can decline any extra clients. At my home our routine is; wake up, morning potty, enjoy a human-grade breakfast, another potty break, nap in mom's office. Playtime kicks in around noon, followed by post-lunch potty and another nap. We then join mom in her office, demanding attention, before yet another nap until the next break. Potty, Dinner, and Cuddles. Then one last potty before bed. We’re kinda couch potatoes in our home.
“Clair is great! She follows instructions, walked at Mo’s pace, and took care of him like I would. I booked longer because my dog(Mo) is a slow walker. She fed him, made sure his water bowls had fresh water and also gave him just supplements when needed, and treat. Will user her services in the future again!”

About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I offer calm, full-time attention in a quiet home with a large yard and a peaceful resident dog. I’m confident administering medications, as I regularly care for my own pets' health needs. I am currently home all day and available for walks and love. For walks and home visits Tuesday - Friday I am available on a twice daily basis. Sat, Sun, and Monday I am available any time. While I don't offer pet care in my home at this time, I may in the future. We live in a bright spacious apartment near Briggs YMCA

About: I have worked for about 6 months in a doggy daycare facility, where I was able to enjoy keeping our customers fur babies happy and safe. Before that I was also volunteering at a private doggy daycare facility in Ireland, where I spent a few months taking care of all kind of dog breeds. In addition my husband and I welcomed two puppies beginning of last year. Meanwhile they are both about 1 year, so if your pet should stay with us, they will have lots of play time with them :) I'm currently taking this semester off, so I have lots of free time to spent with your loving fur babies. I'm available most of the time, so just sent me a message. I will follow all rules and instructions you give me regarding your pet, anything outside of your guidelines, I will treat your pet like I would want someone to treat mine, with love and care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
