“Gabriella was very invested in our cat’s wellbeing while we were gone and went above and beyond. She made sure he had company and got everything he needed. I really appreciated her time investment and transparent, picture-laden updates at every check-in. Definitely recommended to book her!”

About: Not only have I worked with animals my whole life I also work with dogs specifically with a rescue organization called AdoptMeBluegrass. I help with their animal care weekly and am part of their foster program. My family and my own dogs have welcomed hundreds of others into our home and always provide excellent care. I am a local landlord and typically only go out to work at the pet adoption center for AdoptMeBluegrass. I have no set work hours. I spend my time with the dogs. I have a double fenced property on a dead end street. Dogs love the 3/4 dedicated dog yard for them to play on our 6 acres of land. We have crates and can make your pet feel right at home. I’m a treats giver so let me know if there is something they can’t have or any other dietary restrictions. I can also come to your pet for services while you are away.
“Deanna took wonderful care of our cat, Huey! She provided lots of pictures and updates and Huey really seemed to love her. We have recommended her to all of our family with pets.”

“Joanna was fantastic, I felt so comfortable on my trip knowing she was taking care of things back home. She gave my girl her meds every day, and got her outside and moving!”

“Janae was great, she checked in on our cats for a couple days while we were out of town. We did an initial visit before the booking just to meet her and see how our cats reacted, they instantly took to her which was a relief. She also very kindly pulled in our trash bins while we were away, we did not expect that but very much appreciated! We would definitely book with Janae again.”

About: Grew up on a farm with 20 dogs. I had my own dogs and have cared for family and friends’ dogs and cats for years. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend quality time with pets throughout the day. Whether it’s keeping them company, going for walks, playing or sticking to their routine. I care for every pet as if they were my own by following their normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications if needed and plenty of love and attentions. I also respect my clients’ home by keeping them clean, secure, and following all instructions to make sure that both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease.
About: I was fortunate enough to be raised in a home with a variety of animals! I have had dogs my entire life, and cats for the last decade, with bunnies, frogs, hamsters, hermit crabs, and more along the way! Anyone who knows me, knows how important my pets are to me. They are more than pets, they are my family! I have had big, medium, and small dog breeds, and worked with cats with all different personality types and backgrounds. I understand how important it is to have peace of mind with the person responsible for your family members when you're away, and with me you will never doubt that your fur babies are being spoiled! Working with me, you'll find that I can accommodate any request or 'weird pet quirk' that you may throw my way. I find that animals respond well to my calm and genuine nature, and it provides enjoyment for me as well! I just recently got engaged and am hoping to help fund my wedding and future home, please reach out if you have any questions or special requests! I am also known to send probably too many pictures while you're gone, for that extra reassurance that all is well! I look forward to becoming a part of your village, please don't hesitate to reach out for all pet and house care needs! I work from home as a mental health professional and create my own schedule, so pet care can fit very easily into my routine. I will be as flexible as possible with the families I work with, and communication will never be a concern! At this time, in order to protect my own fur babies and yours, I will not be bringing client's pets' into my own home. I find that pets are more comfortable in their own environment most of the time, and I would rather keep their comfort a priority. I follow directions provided by the families on how to best keep their pet comfortable with a new person entering their space. Reading their behavior and body language is so important!

About: Hi my name is Audrey, I am a current nursing student at the University of Louisville. I have experience taking care of people, dogs and cats; as I myself have an Australian shepherd, a bulldog and a calico. I enjoy taking care of all animals and treat them as they are my own, as pets have always been a part of my life growing up as well as currently. I’m currently a full-time student, I have availability in the afternoon/evening Mon-Thurs for walks and drop-ins and all day availability Fri-Sun for overnights, drop-ins and walks. During summer/school breaks my availability will be completely open for morning-evening bookings. I prioritize safety and comfort for every pet I care for. I am experienced with both crate-trained and non–crate-trained pets and can adapt to your pet’s routine/needs. If possible I would love to have a meet-and-greet beforehand to ensure a good fit and a safe positive experience for you, your pet, and myself. During walks, pets will remain securely leashed at all times. I monitor behavior, surroundings, and any potential risks to keep your pet safe.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have several years of hands-on experience caring for horses, dogs, and other pets through barn work and daily responsibilities. My experience includes feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, administering basic care, and keeping animals on consistent routines. I also previously managed a pet store, where I helped customers with pet care needs and assisted with grooming services, giving me experience working with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. Being involved in cheer and an active lifestyle, I’m used to early mornings, long days, and staying dependable no matter the weather. I’m attentive, patient, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I’m already used to structured schedules and early mornings. Between school, cheer, and my experience working at barns and managing a pet store, I’m very comfortable planning my day around feeding times, walks, and check-ins. I make sure pets stay on their normal routines so they feel comfortable and stress-free while their owners are away. I’m active and outdoors often, so regular walks and playtime are something I genuinely enjoy, not just a task. I’m also reliable with time management, so pets always get the attention and care they need. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping them comfortable by following their normal routines as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions are followed exactly. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel at ease while they’re away. If pets are in my home, I make sure they have a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can play and get fresh air safely. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality and needs, whether that means extra playtime, quiet companionship, or sticking closely to a specific care routine.

“Shaine took care of a feral cat that I have been caring for over the last eight years. Feral cats choose people not the other way around. It was obvious from how close this cat came to Shaine that she is good people. I would recommend Shaine for simple or complicated pet sitting needs.”

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 16 years old, providing dog walking and pet-sitting services for family friends, relatives, and people in my community. Over the years, I've gained experience with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, and sizes, from small companion dogs to large breeds weighing over 100 pounds. I currently care for three dogs of my own, a Chihuahua, a hound dog, and a Corgi mix, which gives me daily hands-on experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Through both personal ownership and pet-sitting experience, I've learned the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, and making sure each dog feels safe and comfortable. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having a dependable companion while you're away, I'm committed to providing attentive, reliable care and treating every pet as if they were my own. I am currently home for the summer and working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide quality care for your pets. I'm able to adjust my availability and work around the needs of both you and your furry family member, whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening visits, or overnight care. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I strive to be as accommodating and dependable as possible to ensure they receive the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize both your pet's safety and the security of your home. I carefully follow all instructions regarding routines, feeding schedules, medications, and household rules. I make sure doors, gates, and crates are properly secured, keep a close eye on pets during walks and playtime, and maintain a clean, respectful environment while you're away. My goal is to provide dependable care that gives both you and your pet comfort and peace of mind.
About: I believe you can tell everything you need to know about a person by the way they treat animals. I have owned and cared for dogs my entire life. After my 14 year old Labrador passed away, I became a foster home for needy dogs, through GRANND. I learned a lot about sick and abused dogs over those years. Most recently I have been house and dog sitting for a family in Louisville. I specialize in disabled and medical care your dog may need. I currently have an open schedule now that my teen is getting older. I look forward to spending my time with your dog, soon. I also have experience with care of birds and rabbits. Please no cats, due to allergies. I am currently a mother of one teenage girl. She needs me less so I have a very flexible schedule. I look forward to spending more time with animals. I will care for animals at your home. I am also happy to take your dog to the park, or wherever you prefer. My schedule is flexible.
About: I've had pets all of my life both cats and dogs and I love them they are my happiness. Ive only ever watched my families pets so far but I have taken care of animals that need medications or special diets. I currently work full time so most of my availability will be the weekend but on weekdays I can take dogs out for a walk or if you prefer I have a backyard they can play in but my fence is short. On the weekend I can babysit them and spend much more time with them as I dont have work. I do have a fenced yard but it's not super tall most larger dogs could jump it if they wanted to most likely. I would supervise your dog the whole time they are outside though and if you prefer them on a leash I can walk them in my neighborhood.
“Wow! Molly is fantastic. We left for a 10 day long trip for our honeymoon and she made us feel so at ease. We got daily updates of our sweet boys which helped us stay in the loop during our trip. They adored her and normally when we get home from vacation they are noticeably stressed, but not this time. I cannot thank Molly enough for her genuine love of animals. Smokey and Cheddar thank you too!”

About: Having years of experience caring for family pets of all shapes and sizes, I can provide your pets with the one on one time they deserve while you're away. I have provided care for a wide range of dogs, from weeks old puppies, to senior dogs getting ready to cross the rainbow bridge. My love for dogs has encouraged me to pursue a career doing what I love, playing with dogs and making their overall wellbeing my priority. I take your dogs day to day routine into account when doing any sort of activities; from how long they typically like to go for walks, to the level of interaction they like during play time. I consider every dog a friend I haven't made yet, and I love sharing that sort of relationship with every dog I meet. Being a pet parent myself, the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I do before bed is pet care. I understand that every animal is unique and requires personalized care. I always make sure to respect the pets personal space and I always go at the pace set by the pet. Their comfort and happiness is my top priority.
About: About Me: Hi! I’m a caring, reliable pet sitter who treats every animal like family. I have more than 10 years of experience with cats and dogs. My husband, our 5-year-old son, 8-year-old daughter and I care for pets together, so your cutie gets lots of attention, companionship, and a warm home atmosphere. We genuinely enjoy spending time with pets—playing, relaxing, and giving them the affection they deserve. We love the outdoors, so if your pet enjoys it too, we’re happy to include fun adventures like neighborhood walks, gentle hikes, and fresh-air outings—always tailored to your pet’s age, energy level, and routine. If I’m staying in a city with a nearby beach, such as San Jose or San Francisco (where I sometimes visit family), we may also enjoy a beach outing, always with your permission and only if it’s a good fit for your pet. For pets who prefer a quieter pace, we’re just as happy to provide calm companionship, enrichment, and cozy cuddle time at home. Cleanliness and health are a big priority for me. I take pride in maintaining a clean, safe environment—deep-cleaning litter boxes, keeping feeding areas tidy, refreshing water bowls, and making sure pet spaces stay comfortable and sanitary. I believe the small details truly make a big difference for pets and their families. Most importantly, I care for every animal as if they were my own. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive to behavior cues, routines, and preferences—whether your pet is playful, shy, energetic, or senior. Daily Updates: I will send daily updates with photos and videos, so you can see how your pet is doing and feel relaxed while you’re away. I can also include notes on meals, walks/potty breaks, playtime, and overall mood if you’d like. What You Can Expect: Loving, family-style care and companionship Clean, healthy pet environment (litter box/feeding area hygiene) Routine-focused care (meals, meds if needed, walk schedules) Daily photo + video updates for peace of mind On a weekly basis, I set aside time for deeper tasks like thorough litter box cleaning, refreshing food and water stations, and ensuring medications or special diets are handled with care. Because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, these responsibilities don’t feel like chores — they’re a rewarding part of my everyday life. The boarding is available daily after around 3 p.m. When I board pets in my home, I treat them as part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of space to relax, play, and feel at ease. Pets stay on their normal routine as much as possible — including feeding times, walks, medications, and bedtime habits — so they feel comfortable and secure.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
