About: I have experience with dogs of various shapes and sizes—Chihuahua, Shih-tzu, Bull Terrier, Pit bulls, Akita, St. Bernard, Airedaile, to name a few. I also have experience caring for other animals like cats, chickens, ducks, goats, etc. Just show me what you need done and I’ll get it done. I’m here because I absolutely adore animals. I’m a caring and compassionate person and I hope to give fellow pet parents a sense of relief as they look to this community for care and services. I am a responsible person, with a relatively laidback lifestyle. I won’t be out late and I won’t leave your dog alone for long periods of time. I have an extremely close bond with my own dogs and see them as important members of our home. I will treat your pets the same way. I work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible, but to house sit, I will need internet access. In the afternoons I may need to leave for a short period (2-3 hours) to spend time with my family. I like to care for your pet the same way you would. I prefer that your pets feel like it’s just another day. As a pet owner myself, I understand the nerves that come with entrusting your pets to another person. I aim to alleviate that stress and anxiety as much as possible— for you and your pet!
“We were traveling to Waterton National Park of Canada by way of Coeur d’Alene. We wanted a place to leave our sweet pup Georgie to allow for flexibility with our friends. I cannot tell you how happy we were to have found Kara. I could tell the minute I walked in the door that Georgie would be a happy camper. On day two she ran to the front door and couldn’t wait to get in the house. We will definitely use Aunty Kara if we’re ever traveling in this area again. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had 2 shihtzus since they were 8 weeks old. Have lost both within the last 2 years at ages 15 and 17. Me and hubby enjoyed them and we miss them terribly. I love strolls around the block and playtime. Serious lap time and undivided attention is awaiting your special fur baby, as I am retired and at home full time. Each year I go to Utah to dog sit for my middle son for 2 weeks while they vacation. They’ve had a Rottweiler, Berniedoodle and Yorkies. The big guys loved TAKING ME on daily walks around their local park. I always took my 2 shihtzus swimming every time we went boating. Perfect day in my opinion!!! I am retired and available most of the time. Short trips to the grocery store or other errands are basically the only time I leave. I have a fenced yard and plenty of room inside and outside. Special diets or medications are not a problem. I liked to wash my dogs faces after mealtimes. They can sleep in my bed, or not. Your preference.

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

Thankfully it didn't come to that. I'm so thankful for her help. I got updates throughout the day which was awesome. It gave me relief knowing my puppy was in good hands and having a blast. “First time using app based on local recommendation. Traveling with an extended stay. Had a meet and greet with Jackie before doggie day care to settle my nerves. Warm and friendly and bonded with Ranger immediately. Met her at house next day for drop off and she was very attentive asking questions about allergies and concerns. Felt very comfortable and at ease with leaving Ranger there for a “staycation”. He settled in quickly and Jackie kept me updated with text and pics and how he was doing throughout the day. About: I have been around animals since I was a baby, I have 19 years of pet experience. We have a small farm. I’ve also helped my mom on rover for the past few months. I am currently helping my mother with Rover so my schedule is pretty flexible. When you book with either of us you will receive 3 adults giving your babies the upmost care and respect. I have a fenced 3 acre yard and 3 friendly dogs to keep your babies company. I have crates and means of separation if that is necessary. We treat our company like family, they are allowed on furniture and able to sleep with us unless told otherwise.
