Charlotte was so great with our dog. He is usually very wary of new people, but he warmed up to Charlotte and the others in the house quickly and easily. I would definitely feel great about leaving him in her care again.

Rachel and her family are amazing! They cared for my dog Rosie as one of the family. This was the most secure I’ve felt leaving my dog with someone while going out of town. I wouldn’t use anyone else if they are available to watch her. Thanks Rachel!

My 1 1/2-year-old lab had had a great time staying with Kirsten. He almost didn't want to leave when I came to pick him up. She was very accommodating with my drop off and pick up schedule. I would use her again next time I'm out of town.

Suzanne was easy to communicate with and very welcoming to Henry who has separation anxiety. She sent us pictures along the way. We enjoyed an afternoon relaxing at the hot springs and dinner out and returned to a very calm pup. Will definitely call on Suzanne again!

My pup has separation anxiety. I left her with this wonderful family for 4 days. She assimilated right into the family. Lu, Alejandra and Valentina gave her all the love she needed. Walks to and from school, time for play in dog park, rides in the car on family expeditions and lots of snuggles. I did not see any sign of the usual stress when I picked her up. YES I recommend them - Lu is a family package. Wonderful.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for years, starting back in my teens, and I’m comfortable caring for a wide range of animals including dogs and cats. I have experience with both puppies and senior pets, including those who need extra attention like medication administration (including insulin) and more structured care routines. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, training support for young dogs, or gentle care for older pets, I adjust to each animal’s needs. I’m also happy to take care of small extras like watering plants or keeping an eye on your home while you’re away, so you can come back to everything in good shape. I work a full-time job, but I’m able to come home during my lunch break to check in on my own puppy and provide mid-day care. This keeps me consistently involved in daily pet care even during the workweek. At this time, I am only offering weekend availability for boarding, so I’m fully available to focus on providing attentive, structured care during those stays. I make sure pets are comfortable, on their normal routines, and well cared for while they’re with me. When boarding a dog in my home, I do my best to accommodate their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible, like they’re at home. I have a fenced-in yard, and my own puppy enjoys plenty of outdoor playtime, so dogs who are active will get lots of safe exercise and enrichment. If a dog is more of a relaxed, homebody type, I’m just as happy to keep things calm with indoor time, rest, and companionship. I adjust to each dog’s personality and energy level. For any care—whether boarding, drop-ins, or walks—I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special needs or medications, to make sure each pet is cared for consistently and safely.

About: Hi! My name is Hannah and I’m looking to get back into dog sitting/walking on the weekends. I grew up with dogs my entire life and have always loved animals. I have dog sat for neighbors and friends for years. I currently have a 7 year old Pyrenees/lab mix and he lives the best dog life. I’m strictly a weekend doggie caretaker as I work full time during the week. If you need a dog sitter while away for the weekend, I can help! I’m very patient and attentive to the dogs I will take care of. They will be in great care at my apartment and there’s plenty of (unfenced) property I live in but happy to bring them outside with a leash too. I am happy to watch your dog in your home as well!

Chonlada and her boyfriend took such good care of our puppy during our vacation. She sent us great photos of the fun they had together and our pup was so happy and healthy when we picked her up. She had a great backyard to run around in and another sweet dog to play with. I would definitely recommend Chonlada for her amazing care. Thank you!

We highly recommend Nevada for all of your pet care needs! She is experienced, knowledgeable, dependable and flexible. Our dog Birdie is shy with strangers, but Nevada was patient and attentive and made her feel right at home. Her sweet dog Duke is a gentle soul and was very accepting of Birdie in his space. Nevada will treat your pet like her own, providing lots of love and exercise! Birdie always comes home happy and smiling!

Wow - couldn’t have had a more awesome experience working with Nicole. Terrific communication, easy pick-up/drop off, lots of photos and feedback during my dog Callie’s two night stay. My typically active dog crashed in the back seat on our drive to Utah, and I know it’s because Nicole kept her active and gave her lots of love. Thanks Nicole!

Mae is gentle and kind. Minnie is a delicate senior miniature dachshund who thrived while Mae took her into her home as I travelled. Minnie fit in right away. Mae’s photos reassured me all was well. I could see Minnie was on alert at first, then saw her relax and enjoy her stay. So thankful!

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Silt home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
