About: I’m a lifelong pet person with a little something extra; I’ve also worked hands-on in dog cognition research at the University of Arizona, studying how dogs think, communicate, and interact with people. 🐾 That experience taught me just how unique every dog is. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to the little things, from body language and routines, to favorite toys and cuddle preferences. I have grown up with dogs my entire life, and became a cat owner as well 2 years ago. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is being well cared for. My goal is simple: keep your pet safe, happy, and feeling right at home while you’re away. I work part-time in Sierra Vista Monday–Thursday in the afternoons, with shifts no longer than 5.5 hours, so pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m available mornings and evenings on workdays, with plenty of time for walks, meals, playtime, and attention before and after work. I’m also off Friday through Sunday, giving me even more flexibility for your pet’s routine and needs. 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priority. I’ll care for them in the environment they already know and follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, doors/gates, crate routines, and any household safety precautions. I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior, appetite, or routine and will communicate with you if anything seems unusual. During house sitting and drop-ins, I’m also mindful of home security—making sure doors and gates are secured and your home is left just as I found it. You can expect regular updates and plenty of photos, too!

About: I have 2 dogs myself- a French Bulldog and Shepard/Pittie mix. Whether the dogs are laid back or full of energy (or both like mine), they will be well taken care of. Time away from your pet shouldn't be a stressful time. Able to do check ins/ short walks throughout the day during the week and able to dedicate more time during the weekends. Weekends I am more available for house-sitting/longer walks. Ample playtime and stimulation. Treats are a good behavior award. House/fences will be locked and secured along with a walkthrough of the house for additional safety.

My husband and I own a very well behaved and playful Australian Shepherd, Malachi. He's currently two and a half years old, and regularly receives attention that a herding dog needs. He's walked, exercised, and ran throughout the week. We constantly reinforce good habits and sharpen his training. Since we purchased him as a puppy, here's a small list of the training that he has mastered. - Sit - Come - Lay down - Roll over - Paw and other paw - Fetch - Whisper - Speak - Crawl - Get your ball - Drop it - Leave it Anybody can list a number of commands their dog has mastered, but it goes to show the amount of training that we have invested in our pet. We're regularly ensuring that he knows how to behave in front of people, other dogs, and alone. Dogs have very active brains that need to be worked out in order to keep them from developing bad habits such as digging, chewing, and needlessly barking. I will, if hired, employ the same level of determination in reinforcing your pet(s) good habits so that they are the best behaved that they can be. While I don't have a lot of quantitative experience in handling pets on my resume, our friends routinely consider us first for their long term pet care needs. We have recently watched our neighbors' two dogs for a period of 17 days while they went out of state--their dogs got walks, training, treats, and play time as appropriate. I am driven to get an opportunity to prove my value to you as a pet care provider. Consider me for employment and I know that both you and your pet(s) will be satisfied with the decision. About: I have owned and cared for many, many dogs over the years (also cats, a bird, fish, hamsters, turtles). I LOVE animals! I have cared for a very sick dog while her owner was out of the country. No one wants that to happen but I am dedicated to the care of all animals as if they were my own children. I understand each animals unique personality and needs. I love hiking and walking and there are no better companions than dogs. My first priority is keeping your pet safe, second is their happiness! I understand that having their owners away can be stressful so they need lots of love and exercise. I won't be walking multiple dogs so that I can give enough attention to each individual dog. I am retired and am available at home all day. I can come to your home to walk or check in on your animals any time. I have a fenced yard for your dog to play in and to be safe. I never leave the dogs in the yard unsupervised. My own dog will keep yours company.
About: I can handle crazy, calm, anxious and any and all dogs, Because I've grown up around dogs and cats, I know animals well. I know the difference between fear and aggression and how to read body language I'm good to work any days and nights as a general rule. I am a caregiver for people with disabilities but that's typically an overnight shift. I can feed, walk, and play with any animals in your home and can stay overnight most nights. I don't have the means to house any though.
