About: My role as an animal caretaker began at the age of 6 and has only increased in species types. In addition to caring for my own animals (dogs, cats, cattle, horses, chickens, etc.), I have worked professionally in the veterinary field for the past 6 years. This Fall, I am going into my second year of veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin, and I currently work at UW Veterinary Care on the Small Animal surgery team💉! I am equipped to care for pets of all sizes, behavioral quirks, and medical needs, and am so honored to be considered as a care companion for your furry friends! 😊 As a future dogtor in training, pet care is part of my everyday routine. In addition to caring for my own animals, I am always searching for new care opportunities to diversify my skills, whether that is in a professional clinic, sanctuary, or volunteer setting. I am an organized individual who enjoys living by plan and routine and in my experience, many of our furry companions do as well. I prefer getting to meet with pets before my care window begins to get a physical run down of their routine and establish a familiar relationship with them. My attention to detail allows me to easily follow written and verbal instructions and be equipped to troubleshoot if needed.

About: I grew up with a Westie since I was 7 years old. I am a foster caretaker and trained to foster dogs by GRRoW (the golden retriever rescue organization of Wisconsin). I also have two roommates who grew up with dogs and are 3 years into veterinarian school at UW-Madison. Pet caretaking fits into my routine best every weekday for an after-work walk (5pm CST or later). I work from home on Mondays and Fridays so I have more free time those days of the week to watch an interact with your pet during the day. I have an apartment with a large open, yard good for playtime. My neighborhood and apartment complex is extremely dog friendly. There are plenty of non-busy street sidewalks and parks within walking distance for the dog to enjoy and run around in.

“Hillary did an amazing job walking my shy pup and quickly won her over! In addition to being amazing with my dog, Hillary did and excellent job communicating with me about how my dog did on their walks, tactics she used to help build up my dog's confidence, and Hillary even helped clean up a potted plant that my dog had knocked over one day. I would highly recommend Hillary to anyone looking for care for their pets!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. They ranged from puppies all the way to them becoming senior dogs, and they all came from very different backgrounds. I am especially good with senior dogs. My childhood dog eventually had severe arthritis and needed medication and some extra help. I would do anything for her that helped her feel more comfortable! I also puppysit for some family members so I am also used to the craziness a puppy can bring! I am currently available most days at any time until August 11. My cat does need medication at 8pm, but any other time of the day works for me! I can care for your pets however you need in your home! Whether it's going on a walk, playing outside, or staying inside, whatever is best for them is doable!

About: I have grown up taking care of our family dog. Over the pandemic, we got a golden doodle puppy and I have been an actively training, walking, and caring for her for the past four years now. I just moved to the Madison area and I work about three twelve hour shifts a week, which means I have plenty of time to hang out with you pet! I am available for housing sitting, drop-ins, and walks weekdays and weekends. I will be sure to give your dog just as much love and attention as I do my own. I love taking dogs on nice long walks or to the dog park to burn some energy.

“Jenny is wonderful! My puppy warmed up to her right away. She asked a lot of questions about him and came prepared with treats, poop bags, and water. She took him on a walk nearby and when they returned home he was all tired out. Thank you!”

About: I treat every dog and cat like my own. I am sure to adapt to the needs of each individual animal, whether its belly rubs, play time, or gentle care. I ensure every animal feels safe and loved! I’m currently waiting to start my PhD program so I have a lot of flexibility during the week and weekends. I hope to meet many new people and pets. I provide loving, attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs; feeding, playtime, cuddles, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in their home environment. If bringing the animal to my home, I live in a safe and clean environment with ample access to outdoor green spaces for walks.

About: Apart from growing up with pets, I’ve volunteered at my local humane society, worked as a dog walker/sitter on the side, and even worked at a cat hotel! I love meeting new pets and being able to help keep them happy and healthy! I’m currently working 5 days a week at my primary job, but usually have some flexibility and sometimes have week-long breaks (my availability will reflect this). I would love to use some of my free time to check in on your friend and spend some time with them! Since I sadly cannot have your pets visit my home (tiny apartment life), I intend to do everything you instruct me to do while I’m in your home with your pet and maintain clear communication as we go.

“Guen watched my cat for an extended weekend while I was out of town. Not only did she take care of all the duties I had asked, but went above and beyond to make sure my boy was comfortable and having a good time in my absence. She kept me updated on his care while I was gone and sent pictures. It’s great to know I can count on her for wonderful care when needed.”
