“This was our first time using Rover and a sitter like this.. Bentley has some separation anxiety but Arile took him right in and walked him and loved on him and made him feel right at home. She was great. Would highly recommend her and will use her again for sure.”

“As soon as we met, Melissa and her family, we knew that we had made the right choice with leaving our precious penny with them. They loved on her as if she were their own, they kept us updated daily with Text and pictures. We are so excited that we have found our sitter for future trips, as long as they are available and willing to take her.”

About: I've had the gift of caring for many pets large and small. From sitting to fostering to my very own they are very much considered family. Through out days of loves and scratches behind the ears are always available. Plus they will have a play friend in Georgina my 3 year old loveable sweet poodle. Though the are allowed in or out, weather permitting I'm able to sit out back with them in my fenced in yard and play fetch!
“Harlow and Rosie had a wonderful stay! Andrew was very accommodating with the meet and greet, drop off and pick-up times. He sent pictures a couple of times while we were gone too. I would highly recommend leaving your dogs with Andrew and his family!”

“Nataly was great with communication and professional and personable. This was our first time using a sitter and she made the process great and provided updates with pictures. We will definitely be returning!”

About: I always grew up with dogs and got in to the industry 6 years ago. I started at a doggy daycare and eventually got a job training protection dogs. Throughout my professional experience I managed multiple dogs in both a home and facility setting. Ensuring each dog in my care is fulfilled every day is my top priority! I am currently able to provide full-time care for the pets in my home. My life revolves around my dogs and any guest would fit right into my rotating schedule. I have a room dedicated to the pets I am sitting as well as a securely fenced backyard. I will crate and rotate guests with my dogs, unless explicitly friendly, to ensure the safety of all. Any pet in my home is treated as my own!
“Maria was the sweetest! Super welcoming and helped us in a last second crunch. Elsa really enjoyed her time with Maria and her family. Maria kept me up to date with what Ms. Elsa was doing throughout the entire visit. I will for sure book with Maria and her family again!”

“Fantastic!! I received pictures and updates daily and she was able to help me out when my flight was delayed. I even received an adorable Christmas picture magnet of my fur baby. Thank you again!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of helping friends and family with taking care of their animals since a very young age. I love all animals! I work full time and sometimes get off late (7pm) but always have free time after work! I go in at 7:30am so could drop in before that. I have my own dog at home so while I am home I could let them roam around freely but whenever it is bedtime they will both go in a crate just in case they decide they do not enjoy each other.

About: I have a wide array of experience with caring for dogs and cats—from the corgi puppy who barks through the night to the one eyed 18 year old deaf and blind Shih Tzu who just needed love and my current 9 year old rescue who loves cuddles and walks. I have experience administering medication, working with tricky meal routines, cleaning and sanitizing after potty accidents, and giving lots of love and pets. I am a teacher at a local high school and am free all day every day during the summer and before 8:00 am and after 4:30 pm on weekdays during the school year as well as full availability on the weekends. My pets are an integral part of my family and I start and end the day with a dog walk. I have a fenced backyard. There IS a pool, but I also have a 10x10 cage back there for potty breaks if you have a water loving dog that you don’t want in the pool. I have my own four legged crew: Ebby the funny fat cat and Teddy the sweet rescue dog. We do have stairs in our home but if you have an older dog that struggles with arthritis, I can stay downstairs with them while they are in my home.
“This was my very first time using Rover and I felt like our puppy was in great hands. Our puppy needed medicine and Maggie went to the Pharmacy and picked it up. Maggie made sure our pup’s meds were taken daily. Maggie also kept open communication with us while we were gone. She sent pictures and adorable videos of our pup playing with her dogs and having a great time while we were away. Thank you so much!”

“Kaitlyn was wonderful! She was so sweet to Jasper and actually let him on her furniture. He’s an older Lab who is very spoiled and very codependent! She communicated daily with updates. I will definitely ask her to care for him in the future! It’s difficult to leave him but I definitely would trust her to keep my baby in the future. 🩷🩷🩷🩷”
“Christian went above and beyond of taking care of Bella while we were away. He sent us photos and videos of our baby girl. He updated us everyday. We can tell Bella was happy. Thank you Christian”

“Hannah was awesome with our 4-month-old border collie. She sent frequent updates, was patient, kind, and kept her happy and busy all weekend. We’ll definitely schedule time with Hannah in the future!”

“Our two girls had a wonderful time with Candie and her dog! She was so welcoming and opened her home to them, and they quickly made themselves right at home. In every photo and video, they looked like they were having a blast—playing, running around, and resting comfortably. We'll definitely be using Candie again for any future trips!”

“Lisa and David were super accomodating. I scheduled a last minute boarding session and they opened up their home to Potato with open arms! I got pictures and videos along with updates daily! I can not wait to use them again for boarding services.”

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
