“I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Samantha!!! My mom lives in Aurora Mo and I live 9 hours away in Wisconsin, my mom ended up in the hospital and I had no one to go let her dogs out. Samantha answered my message for help in just minutes saying she could assist with taking care of the dogs. She was even able to let them out and feed them the SAME NIGHT as my distress message. Set up 2 more visits for the next day as well because my dad wouldn’t be home until later that night. Samantha made me feel so at ease with entering my mom’s house without meeting her, taking care of my mom’s dogs that are her babies and locking back up! I was grateful for the pictures she sent of them so I knew they did indeed go potty. I sent the pictures to my mom and she cried knowing they were being well taken care of. About: I've taken care of several dogs and cats for friends and neighbors, whether that's just checking in or staying overnight. I am avaliable to accompany the pets for extended hours or days. Pet sitting is my full time job, so I am usually available whenever! I'm able to either stay with the pets or check on them periodically. I am able to watch pets at a client's house, always keeping an eye on them and making sure they're doing alright. I prefer visiting and/or staying in their environment, making sure the pets more comfortable and less stressed.

I don’t feed your pet extra treats that aren’t approved by you, and I keep them safe by making sure doors are closed so they don’t run off.

I have hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds—from tiny Chihuahuas to large German Shepherds—and I understand how to tailor care to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Lennox is always digging through the trash like he’s starving (even though they get two servings of wet food a day plus dry food), so I’m often cleaning up his little adventures. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding instructions carefully, make sure they get plenty of playtime and attention, and keep an eye on their behavior in case anything seems off. Whether it’s giving meds, scooping the litter box, or just hanging out on the couch for some cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. About: I have experience pet sitting since I was 14! I grew up on a farm with a variety of animals. I can give meds if your fur child needs that care. We have 2 dogs and a cat all good with other dogs! I am college student so I just have class and then I’m home for the day. We have 2 dogs and a cat who are very active. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
