Annmarie watched my cat Charming for the first time this past week. She was very prompt with messages/responses and took very good care of him. I would definitely have her take care of him again.

Jodi was great with our cat. He interacted with her from the first day-it usually takes him 3 days to come out from under the bed. She was so dependable and sent excellent reports. We will use her again.

KJ has been so amazing to work with! Always available for my travel dates, even over holidays. She's been super patient when my pet opts to not come home on time and goes the extra mile to make sure she's safe. I highly recommend her if she's in your area.

Pet sitting is my full time job, so I am usually available whenever! I'm able to either stay with the pets or check on them periodically. About: I volunteered at CARE which is a no kill pet shelter for cats and dogs in 2014 and recently started volunteering at this place again, February 2018. My duties included feeding and making sure the animals had enough water. Cleaned out kennels and cages and would take the dogs outside and walk them. I have had dogs and cats since I was born and currently had a dog who loved being around other cats and dogs. She loved to play with animals as well and loved children. Her name was Daisy she is in my profile pic with me. Daisy was euthanized on September 1st, 2023. I now have another dog whose name is Emma. She’s a year old and as long as it’s ok with a client I bring her to pet sitting jobs. She loves other animals including cats and loves to play. She’s lovable and affectionate and loves attention. I also have a cat and her name is Maizy. She is four years old and I got her when she was almost 4 weeks old. I would take Daisy for walks and if I could take her with me to other places I did. One of the places I took her was to the pet store. I no longer wear a mask unless I have to. If you prefer for me to wear one please let me know and I will wear one. I use to work at a job which required me to work a 10 hour shift. I am now working at a full time job which has 8 hour shifts. I can work around my schedule if needed. My supervisor does work with me on switching my days around if needed. I can’t keep your pet in my apartment due to rules and restrictions but I can come to your home. I will provide my own food and necessities.

Byron is an absolute gem. He took phenomenal care of our newfie and goldendoodle. He was also extremely helpful with a number of unexpected “surprises” (not all dog related) that occurred while we were gone. Overall, Byron’s care, effort and communication was above and beyond our expectations. You’d be crazy not to book him.

About: I treat every pet like my own and pay close attention to their unique needs. I have experience with puppy training (potty, crate, and leash basics) and caring for senior dogs who need extra patience or medication support. I also provide regular updates so you always feel confident your pet is in great hands. I am working full time but will be able to tend to your animals within my given availability! Your animal will be in great hands When caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, clean, and safe environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, crate time, and any training reinforcement — so the transition feels smooth and stress-free. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the pet’s routine. I stick to detailed care instructions, provide plenty of attention and exercise, keep litter boxes or yards clean, and send regular updates with photos. My goal is always to keep pets happy, comfortable, and cared for just like you would at home.

Once again had great service and care, even though Trevor was uncooperative! I had to make some last minute changes with my other dog Stevie and whether I'd be taking her with me or not. We had to do some creative thinking and planning, esppecially with Trevor, but it all worked out! So thankful to have someone that is flexible!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kimberling City. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
