About: Hi! I’m Gus and would love to care for your pet 🐾. I grew up with dachshunds and now share two cats with my partner in Greenfield. I love getting to know animals — their personalities, love languages, favorite treats — and will give your animal the attention it deserves. 💕 I am happy to take walks, play games, and offer cuddles. My goal is to provide a worry-free experience for you and your animal companion by providing consistent and reliable care. I am getting my PhD in English and teach college students during the school year. My schedule in the summer is very flexible, aside from writing a dissertation. I am looking for extra income to supplement my teaching stipend. I am able to come mornings and evenings, and stay the day if needed. I believe in respecting animals’ boundaries. I have two cats who are fiercely independent but also need lots of attention. Figuring out this balance is something I believe is individual to an animal and I will prioritize the way your animal expresses their needs. 😊 My two cats are indoor, as I prefer to keep them safe from outdoor pests. I include them in weekend activities (cooking, movie nights, etc) and play with them daily. One is especially talkative so I make sure to give her lots of verbal affirmation. They each have two litterboxes and we feed them twice a day - both wet and dry food. Cleanliness is also a big part of our routine. Brushing, cleaning litterboxes and food bowls, and providing fresh water are taken care of on a daily basis. In terms of dog care (I grew up with several dachshunds), I am accustomed to taking dogs on daily walks, cleaning and bathing if needed, and offering more energetic (or chill) play times depending on your dog’s needs. Several animals I have cared for in the past have been on special diets, or needed medication. I am happy to do so for your pet if needed, and understand the importance of careful measurements and serving portions.

About: Hi, I’m Jaclyn! I’m new to Rover, but not to pet care. I’ve always been an animal lover. I have taken care of family, friend’s, and coworker’s pets for over 15 years. I have been consistently pet sitting since 2020. This ranges from cats, kittens, senior dogs and puppies, to rabbits, guinea pigs, and tropical frogs. I make sure to keep your space clean; laundry, dishes, vacuum, take in the mail, take out the trash. I want your home to be a safe haven when you get back, with nothing to tend to when you return. Wood trails are great for walks and I always keep a close eye to make sure your pet is not getting into any mischief! I exercise the utmost caution when walking on the street, keeping alert for traffic or any other hazards. I carefully assess dogs we may meet on the street to ensure safety and distance if necessary, with skills I’ve learned working at a doggy daycare. I care for dogs in a reassuring, calm way, with lots of praise and patience. I have a good eye for ticks and I am always finding them, but your dog should be treated for this, too. Your best friend is in good hands with me!

About: I have had animals my whole life and always also have been employed in animal care fields. Personally have 5 dogs and 4 cats. I also have experience with farm animals including horses. I am currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I can always adjust my day as needed to fit your desired schedule. I understand the importance of routines for your pets and with a flexible schedule can always make sure their needs are met and they are happy and stress free.

About: I am a speech-language pathologist in Greenfield, MA and love working with animals on the side when possible. I started dogsitting down in Rhode Island in 2014 while I was in graduate school. I've also grown up with dogs in my life (a black lab/german shepard mix and a yellow lab). I have some experience with puppy training and enjoy going on walks with and exercising dogs. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I can remember. I've grown up having a dog. My first dog was a black lab/German Shepard mix named Pretina. I would play with her, take her on walks, go hiking with her, and many more activities. My second family dog, Piper, was a yellow lab who I had since she was a puppy. I helped in her puppy training and have enjoyed all the previously mentioned activities with her as well. Many of my friends and extended family have also had dogs which I've enjoyed playing with and caring for. During my undergrad career, I petsat for my professor's yellow lab and thoroughly enjoyed caring for him when I was so far from my own dog. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication, though I would like to be shown how to administer it and practice with the owner before sitting for the dog. I have some experience administering insulin shots to a cat. I work in schools, so I am generally available before 8am and after 3pm on weekdays during the school year. During school breaks and summer, I have more availability. I care for your dogs following client preferences. I will let dogs out into a fenced in back yard, crate when left alone at home, keep on leash for walks, etc. as indicated by owners. In general, I would default to keeping dogs on leash during walks and not letting them out on their own unless the yard is fenced in.

About: I grew up with rescue dogs and cats. I specifically have experience with rescuing kittens and taking care of senior dogs. Each animal has a temperament of their own which takes time and patience, to be able to work with them successfully. As of now my schedule is wide open!
