About: Hello, my name is Amanda. I have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I am looking to expand my horizons into pet care. I have two dogs of my own. I have a 12 year old Miniature Schnauzer and an 8 year old Pit-Cocker Spaniel mix. Every dog has their own personality and mine are no exception! I would take the time to learn your pup's personality just like I have mine. I've had dogs most of my life, including taking care of my first dog Eddie, an Italian Greyhound, and a regular-sized Schnauzer named Zero. I have also been helping my parents with their new 8 month old puppy! As a teenager, I would dog-sit for our neighbor's Corgi. I would complete drop-ins three times a day for feeding, walking, and companionship. Unfortunately, I live with three other people and am limited in space I could offer in my own home. I do have experience administering medication such as pills, ear wash, and ointment application to the affected area. I plan to offer as many services as I am able. The services I currently offer: House-Sitting, Drop-In Visits, and Dog-Walking. I am not new to Dog-Walking services. I have been working with a local dog boarding company called Ridges and Paws. They have given me a wealth of experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds, however I felt it was time to expand my services by creating my own profile with Rover. I do not work currently so I plan to devote my time to Rover and each of my client's individual needs. I understand each client is different and I will adjust my service to meet your needs. I have the Rover app on my phone and will be in constant communication with you about your special pet and friend. The Rover app will allow me to respond to any questions or concerns in real time. During my visits, I will send text and picture updates to help ease your time away. I believe a meet-and-greet should be completed prior to beginning services, unless it is an emergency or you are a returning client. I feel this is the best way to determine if I am the right fit for you and your family. This will also allow for any questions by you and for me to ask any questions about your pet. I want to make sure you and your pet receive the best care possible by learning your pets likes and dislikes, quirks, and general care information. I understand it's hard to be away from your best friend or family member! During my visits, I will work to ensure the level of care your friend experiences is the same level of care I would provide for my own.
