“Stephen was quick to respond to my request for drop in visits and was great with my “babies”. I had gone on a cruise and left them for a whole week; the longest I have ever left them. Stephen gave me detailed reports of them along with pictures and looked out for their welfare such as wiping gunk out of Sam’s eye. I feel like they are in good hands with Stephen and I will use him again.”

“Eric was incredibly communicative and professional! He was timely in his responses and super with our pups! I highly recommend Eric and would definitely request his services for my pups in the future!”

“Renee was great with my two dogs. They were able to get outside on what would have otherwise been some very long kenneled days. They enjoyed playing outside and getting their dinners at a normal time. I would highly recommend Renee for anyone needing some help. I plan to rebook if I ever have to leave my dogs behind again.”

“Jessica was amazing. She communicated with us and sent plenty of pictures of our cats. She was always descriptive of the visits each day. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Alexandra and her husband came over to meet my dachshund to make sure she is comfortable with them- they were very sweet and caring towards her I would definitely book them again:)”

We understand vaccines are not bulletproof and that some illnesses may have an extended incubation period but we highly recommend the vaccines to create the safest experience. *Please know that we are unable to care for sick/contagious dogs. If your pup shows any signs of disease or illness, please let us know beforehand so we can make sure you receive a proper refund. If we discover that your pup is exhibiting obvious symptoms of disease with the first 12 hours with us, your dog will need to be picked up and no refund will be issued. I am a stay at home mama. About: I’ve been taking care of animals all sizes since I was little. Animal care has always been my passion growing up and that’s how I ended up with my very special kitty Buddy! I work full time(8-5), but have weekends off! Depending on driving distance to my job, I can be there for my lunch break to let them out and potty. Depending on the animals needs/ owners needs I am very flexible. Between, if you want me to, keeping up with training, daily walks, or even just laying around and snuggling on the couch. I am all for it!
About: I have taken care of animals that I have owned and those of friends and family for most of my life! No cat or dog is too big or too small! I currently have 2 GSDs and 3 cats so high-energy animals are welcome! I have a full time job but I am available just about everyday during the week and all day on weekends most of the time! With the animals currently in my home, I am not offering boarding at this time but I am more than happy to do drop ins and walks as needed!
“Sabrina saved the day when my neighbor couldn't watch my dogs for a night. She followed directions to a T and the dogs seemed very happy when I got home later that night.”

“Lauree is close to us which was a definite positive qual for us. The fact that she knows about hen care and open to our care desires was important to us. We received quick responses from Lauree with our arrangements and scheduling. So nice to know Lauree kept things going for our gals when we were away. We will be keeping Lauree's contact data close by!”
“Jenna was wonderful with our two cat girls. One needed daily medication and Jenna was great with administering the daily meds to Dolly. She sent messages and pictures daily. We loved her sense of humor and how she quickly figured out each cat’s quirky, fun personality. My favorite photos and messages were of Jenna “cradling Dolly like a baby”. She put our minds at ease and we will gladly ask Jenna to care for our girls in the future. Thank you, Jenna!”

About: Hello! My name is Emma and my family currently own seven dogs ranging from various sizes. We have a 10lb teacup doodle to a 80lb golden retriever. I have actually raised 5 of them from when they were puppies to now. I have been dog sitting my own dogs from 6-7 years now when my parents go on vacation for a week or longer. I feed them, take them on walks and such. I also started accepting other clients 4-5 years back for over night stays or week stays. I don’t leave the dogs alone unless I have work or school. I also walk my friends’ dogs when they get busy so I have a lot of experience. I am unable to offer for pets to stay at my place because I have an apartment but I do not mind staying over to make sure your dog(s) are well taken care of. I always make sure to follow the schedule given to me by the owners and make sure that they get plenty of exercises and play time. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to take them out and watch after your dogs. I usually let them out in the morning around 6ish for the first time and will feed them around 8ish. After that I let them out whenever they went when I’m at home or about every 3-4 hours if I’m working. I feed them around 5/6pm and let them out one last time around midnight if needed. I also prefer to take walks early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid other dogs and avoid the heat. I don’t offer to board dogs in my apartment but at the client’s home, I do think the dogs are more used to and know what they can and can’t do. I will do my best to make sure there aren’t harm that will come to them but usually a fenced in yard or I can take them out on a leash as needed. I also can put them in crates as needed but usually that is not a problem.
“I cannot brag enough on Matthew and Harmony. They went well above the call of duty (lol). They took great care of Buddy and our 2 cats. They spent time with them, not just popped in to let them out and eat, watered our plants, and brought in our mail. We thank them for the warm attention they gave our dog and cats. We definitely would recommend and use them again. Bruce”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sharon. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
