About: I have taken care of friends and family's dogs of different breeds and all ages. I have had dogs my whole life and have years of experience. I am currently a full time student at Slippery Rock University and I am looking for work that I enjoy and can balance my art career with. Dog sitting is perfect for me as it is something I love to do but also gives me the time I need for my career. As of now I am only available on weekends (Fri-Sun) because of my class schedule. At home, I have a fenced in yard and make sure my dogs go outside about every 2-4 hours. They get breakfast and dinner around the same time everyday. Because of my dogs anxiety issues, I also groom them at home. I am very attentive and patient with any animal I interact with.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my combination of 15+ years of hands-on experience with animals and my genuine passion for providing exceptional, personalized care. Caring for pets has always been something I love, and I take the time to understand each animal’s unique personality, routine, and needs. I am experienced with dog walking, pet sitting, grooming, puppy care, senior pet care, and providing extra patience and attention when animals need it most. I understand that puppies need consistency, positive reinforcement, exercise, and guidance as they learn, while senior pets often require a gentler approach, extra comfort, and attention to changes in their needs. I also have experience caring for cats and understand the importance of respecting their individual personalities—whether they are playful and social or more independent and reserved. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience providing drop-in care for farm animals, including chickens and goats. Farm visits can include feeding, providing and refreshing water, putting out hay, collecting eggs, and making sure each animal is safe, comfortable, and cared for according to their normal routine. I understand that farm animals have their own routines and care requirements, and I am comfortable taking the time needed to make sure everything is done properly. My goal is to provide more than just basic care. I focus on creating a safe, loving, and enriching experience for every animal while giving owners peace of mind through reliable communication, updates, and personalized attention. Whether I’m caring for a beloved family dog, a shy cat, or a small farm full of animals, I treat every animal with the same level of patience, respect, and care I would want for my own. I feel honored to be trusted with someone’s furry, feathered, or four-legged family members and look forward to providing them with dependable, loving care while you’re away. I am currently dedicating my full-time focus to growing my animal care business, which allows me to provide flexible, reliable, and attentive care for my clients’ pets. Because pet care is my primary commitment, I’m able to give each animal the time, attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. My daily routine revolves around creating a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every pet in my care—whether that means morning walks, playtime, feeding routines, enrichment activities, grooming needs, or simply providing companionship while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take pride in being dependable, responsive, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I offer flexible, dependable pet care options designed to keep your furry family member happy, comfortable, and well cared for in the environment where they feel most at ease. I provide in-home visits, dog walking, and overnight stays for both dogs and cats, with care tailored to each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs. Whether your pet needs daily exercise, companionship, feeding routines, medication reminders, playtime, or extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to provide the level of care that works best for them. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to build trust and make sure they feel safe and loved. I also offer pet grooming services, including basic grooming care to help your pet look and feel their best. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care while giving you peace of mind knowing your pet is in great hands.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every dog. I’ve grown up around family pets and understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m available 24/7. I have 4 dogs at home and am willing to pet sit at any point of any day! I’m just getting started on rover and would love to get my name out there! I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through both personal and professional settings. I previously worked for a local groomer as a dog bather, where I became comfortable handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. In addition, I regularly care for my family’s dogs by feeding them, taking them on walks, spending time with them, and pet sitting when family members are away. I also help care for pets for extended family members, including my aunts and uncles, who trust me with their dogs while they travel or need extra help. I truly enjoy being around animals and am looking forward to expanding my services to help more pet owners feel confident their dogs are safe, cared for, and treated like family.

About: I’ve had dogs and the occasional cat since I was born, including a sweet old lab/doberman mix, a lazy corgi mix, and an anxious westie. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters from a young age and have watched over many friends’ and neighbors’ pets. I’m currently a full time student at Slippery Rock University, so my availability is limited to weekends and breaks at the moment as I focus on classes. When taking care of your pets, all of my attention will be on them and their health, safety, and comfort. Beyond that, I will follow whatever instructions are given to me, as I understand every pet is different. I’m happy to play energetically or sit quietly while your pet gets used to a new friend.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
