About: Hi! I just moved to Butler about a year ago and looking to get back into Rover! I did it for about a year or two in Missouri. I have an electric fence but I ONLY would use the collar with parents permission. If not, I will walk them out or put them on a lead. I’ve always taken care of dogs since forever basically lol I’ve always had a dog throughout my life and I currently have 2 friendly fur babies myself. Ninno-boxer and Skye-lab mix. I have had mostly bigger dogs, like boxers labs golden retrievers pit bulls and border collies. I can bathe if needed with your permission and they’re comfort level. My dogs are on flea and tick shots they get once a month. I work from home so I’m always here. Your baby will rarely be alone and if so, it’s only to run to get groceries and occasional times out. I do not have a fenced yard, but I have half an acre for them to run around as they please and a few dog beds for their comfort. I have two dogs that can provide tons of fun and exercise, but with your permission we can also go for walks/runs.
“Gina was amazing! She responded very quickly to a last minute reservation. She kept consistent communication and even cared for my pup when she felt a little sick from travel. They got plenty of exercise and went for some good walks. Also, the location is perfect for watching dogs. There is plenty of woods area, the golf course, and back roads to go on walks. Highly recommend Gina!”

“Evan and Courtney took great care of our dog when she was with them for a day. Our dog spent the day running around with Murphy and came home tired and ready to nap 😃 we highly recommend them for anyone seeking pet care services!”

“Maria and her husband have been great with my mini bernedoodle puppy. I take him over for doggy day care 2 days a week and I get updates as well as many pictures of him running and playing! It makes me feel less stressed to know he is being well cared for while I’m working. I would definitely recommend them!”

“Erin was very responsive. I love that she sends update photos of Litte Hay. She has a bigger dog that get along so well with Little Hay, which is a plus since my little girl loves meeting new friends. Will definitely rebook wirh Erin again.”

“Dana was fantastic! She and her pups were great with our dog, making sure our Ziggy got plenty of playtime. Oh, and she was able take Ziggy on Thanksgiving Day, which was a huge plus. Will contact next time we're in town. Highly recommend! ”

“Cheryl was absolutely amazing with my dog! He was a little nervous at first, but she made him feel comfortable, and he ended up really enjoying his stay. Since he's an older pup, I was naturally a bit worried about leaving him, but Cheryl kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me such peace of mind. I highly recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their furry family member. She's a 10 out of 10!”

“Michael took amazing care of my 2 shih tzus during a full day stay. He was extremely accommodating of our situation and need for temporary short term care. Will certainly use him and his care again!”

“Absolutely thrilled with all of the pictures and texts. So much anxiety to leave your baby for an extended period of time but so relieved to have found Jeannine! Tucker can’t wait to go back!”

“Sherri was the absolute BEST with my Shih-Tzu Izzy. We did a meet and greet 1st which was so nice to do prior to just dropping Izzy off. Sherri texted me updates with pics of Izzy & even took her for a walk! I felt extremely comfortable leaving Izzy in Sheri’s care. I could tell how much Izzy enjoyed herself being there and we will definitely be back!! 😊”

“Laura was wonderful with our puppy! She was super communicative and provided a clean, warm, and safe space for our dog for the day. Our young puppy was well supervised, had plenty of bathroom breaks, opportunities for rest and exercise, and lots of great enrichment thanks to Laura's unique household set-up. I feel very fortunate to have found Laura as a great option to send my dog and have already booked several more dates.”

About: Have experience taking care of elderly dogs with help me harnesses. Also have experience taking care of dogs with past trauma experiences. Treat every dog like it’s your own! I am on break from Physician assistant school. So I have a lot of free time until I go back at the end of January. I love to take dogs on walks multiple times a day. I am good with making sure your house is taken care of as well as your pets.
“Melissa and her family were so amazing with my dog, Cooper. They graciously took him last minute for 2 daycare visits and treated him just like one of their own. He got tons of outside time and snuggles and was tired out when I picked him up each time. We gradually introduced the dogs and they got along well. You can tell their house is full of love– I felt very comfortable leaving my pup there to enjoy his time.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
