“Cadence is a great dog sitter! We went out of town and our boy was home with my mom. My mom had an injury that made it hard for her to walk Scout the four days we were gone! Thank goodness for Cadence!! She came twice a day and let Scoutie out and walked him. He loved her and I was able to enjoy my trip with very little worry! Scout has separation anxiety and I was worried he would be a handful and she was wonderful with him. Cadence was able to give Scout his medicine as well!! She was so sweet and so caring! I will absolutely use her again the next time we travel. Don't hesitate to book her for your furry babies! Thank you again Cadence!”

“Ashley was the perfect caregiver! I came home to a happy & healthy cat - even with a new toy! Thank you Ashley! Very reliable, great communication, and will book again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of friends and family's dogs of different breeds and all ages. I have had dogs my whole life and have years of experience. I am currently on summer break from college and I am looking for work that I enjoy and can balance my art career with. Dog sitting is perfect for me as it is something I love to do but also gives me the time I need for my career. At home, I have a fenced in yard and make sure my dogs go outside about every 2-4 hours. They get breakfast and dinner around the same time everyday. Because of my dogs anxiety issues, I also groom them at home. I am very attentive and patient with any animal I interact with.

“Samantha took wonderful care of my dog and cat and provided lots of pictures and videos. They loved Samantha, and I will definitely be booking again when I travel! Loved seeing all of the pictures of my happy pets—makes traveling far more enjoyable.”

About: I am a pet lover. I have taken care of dogs, cats, llamas, and horses. I am also a dog groomer and trainer. I chose a pet career after retiring from teaching. Taking care of your pets is my priority. I want to give your pet all my love and attention. I don't have any other job! I am available to keep your pets company full time, at your house, or for drop-in visits. If only a walk is needed, I'm there!
“I booked with Carly after finding out on a short notice that I needed to travel for the night. She was quick and prompt when getting back to me about my requested booking dates. I’ve never left my 3 boys before, but Carly was so sweet to meet with me prior and eased all my anxiety. Throughout each visit she followed all instructions thoroughly and kept me updated with pictures and videos of my babies. I will be booking with her again for future travels.”

About: Growing up with dogs, cats, and horses since I was seven years old, animals have always been my greatest passion. I truly believe in the unconditional love pets provide and enjoy caring for dogs at every stage of their journey—from playful puppies to gentle seniors. Whether your pup is a high-energy breed or a laid-back hound, I provide the patient, dedicated care they deserve. Life at our house is pretty centered around family and home. I can visit morning, afternoon and nights on a dedicated schedule. Whatever works best for your pet! I love visiting pets in their homes. I let them out to use the potty, clean up the yard as much as possible, then tend to the essentials of food and water. Whatever the pet needs! Whether a brush, wipe down or snuggle on the couch, visits are centered around your fur babies.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ranging from puppy to those that have lived long doggy lives! I’ve watched both small and big! Shitzu to golden doodle and I have so much fun with them all! I am a part-time barista, so I can fit any form of dog care into my schedule, and I also am a college student with lots of free time :) I love taking dogs on walks and playing around the yard of the house, depending on location and space available! Making sure all of their food and water needs are met throughout the day is priority while making sure they live a fun life!
About: I've taken care of pets since I was 5. I have 2 dogs of my own and have prior experience in dog sitting and walking. I also had a cat that sadly passed this year, so I have experience in taking proper care of them too. I love making new furry friends! My schedule is very flexible!! I'm accepting new clients and can accommodate to any schedule:) I am available everyday at anytime to take care of your pets! In my home, I crate my puppy and leave my senior dog out to roam. We also have him roam outside to go potty, while watching him of course. And for the little one, we leash him when he goes outside since he's still learning:)
About: I love spending time outdoors and bringing that same energy to the pets I care for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just some fresh-air enrichment, I make sure every visit fits your pet’s needs. I’m experienced with dogs and cats of all temperaments and treat each one like my own. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine since I already have three cats of my own. I also have had dogs all my life. I’m used to keeping a steady schedule for feeding, playtime, and check-ins, so adding drop-in visits fits easily into my day. Flexibility sets me apart from the rest, as I accept same day bookings. I make sure every visit gets my full attention and that pets feel calm and cared for while their owners are away. I always make sure pets are cared for in a calm and safe environment. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to keep routines consistent. I double-check doors, gates, and food portions to ensure everything is secure and every pet feels comfortable and stress-free.
“Lindsey was a great dog walker! We have two high energy dogs and she handled them with patience and care. She was always very responsive and sent good updates after each visit. Would definitely recommend her for pet care needs!”

“Samantha was by far the best sitter I have hired from Rover. She notified me when she came and left. Sent photos everyday she was there. My cat became very fond of her in such a short period of time. She was very flexible since I gave her the incorrect dates 🤷♀️ She jumped into action and came a week early with no problems at. I would highly recommend her to watch your pets. ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Butler. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
