“Alejandra has been walking Charlotte while I’m here on assignment and she’s been fantastic! Goes above and beyond and I know Charlotte is safe and well take care of. Responds promptly and communicates well! Would definitely recommend!”

About: I've lived and loved dogs since I was born. When I was in middle school I started helping out at a local daycare and boarding facility, and from there began assisting the trainer. Since high school, I worked at the local doggy daycare and boarding facility caring for every size of dog imaginable. I am experienced in basic doggy first aid and medicine administration. I've lived and trained with livestock guardian breeds, sporting breeds, hounds, and working breeds all my life! I’m a senior at Maine Maritime Academy, and my class schedule is busy but I have many mornings, afternoons, and evenings off. We can definitely make something work! I am very flexible and can work with your dogs needs! Even if your dog requires PJs before bed time... I can make that happen! Routine is key in dog-lives, so whatever your dog's routine is, I will follow it to the best of my ability.
“Great experience! She walked my dog for longer than I booked and sent lots of pictures. I will definitely book with her again when I’m Seward. Thanks so much for taking care of my best friend!”

About: I've had both cats and dogs growing up. All sizes of dogs up to Rottweilers to my current pet Ripley, he's a frenchie. I've had cats too, love them all. I work at Kenai Fjords Tours so im on the water most days but work is very flexible. I have time on my hands and my frenchie would enjoy the company too. I provide a safe, calm and loving environment for pets in both my home and my clients home. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs, so I take the time to make sure they feel secure and cared for while their owners are away. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise and affection. I provide a clean and pet friendly space where they can relax and feel at ease.
About: I love dogs very much and would love to meet yours! I have had dogs my whole life, and am very comfortable with all personalities and sizes. During summers throughout my life I have house-sat, dog-sat, plant-sat, you name it! For doggy daycare, I work at a restaurant in town around 4pm Thursday- Saturday, and sometimes a Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a garage I'd be comfortable leaving the dog(s) in and you'd be able to access without my being there if you're comfortable with that. I have no issue with special needs dogs nor administering medications. I work at a restaurant in town around 4pm Thursday- Saturday, and sometimes a Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a garage I'd be comfortable leaving the dog(s) in and you'd be able to access without my being there if you're comfortable with that. I like to be outside as much as possible! I plan on including your dog in my little adventures near and far to catch some rays.
“Amazing super!! She was willing to hello me out last minute when my schedule changed and that just meant so much. Would highly recommend Serena to anyone she treats Charlotte like a part of the family”

“Alexis was super responsive when communicating to set things up, and reliable when we needed her to be here. She seemed to have as much fun as my pups did! Will definitely book her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals, ranging from dogs to roosters. Growing up, we had 5 cats, 2 dogs and 2 chickens that I took care of by feeding, bathing, and walking. I love animals and I can’t wait to meet yours! I’m currently working as a part-time and my schedule is pretty flexible, so I will have plenty of time to attend to your animals needs. I provide any pet I take care of lots of love and attention. I am responsible, reliable, and respectful. I treat any fur baby I take care of like they are my own with lots of attention, rubs and playtime.

Very sweet and kind to my Charlotte. Very flexible and responsive, replies almost immediately which is appreciated. Takes good care of her and makes sure to pop her rain coat on etc so that she handles the walks as best as possible! I would recommend to absolutely anyone for walks, definitely worth it and I never had to worry about whether Charlotte was getting what she needed because she goes above and beyond!

Would recommend Paola to anyone! She treats Char like one of her own. She goes above and beyond and I couldn’t be more lucky to have found her! She helped me out of a tight spot when Charlotte got injured and couldn’t go to doggie daycare and I needed a last minute walker for two more days one week and she was willing and able to jump in and add her to her already busy schedule. I can’t express enough how amazing working with her has been. She’s very responsive and detailed and I never have to worry about whether Charlotte is getting the care she needs or not!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
