“Chloe was a great sitter for our dog and two cats. She was very communicative and sent a lot of photos which helped us feel at ease while we were away. Our dog barks a lot when he meets people but she seemed totally unfazed and he warmed up to her quickly. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Macie was so helpful with my dogs while I was out of state! She kept me closely updated regarding my old and chronically ill dog. She administered many meds and even went to the store to grab something for them. She was exactly what we needed for our week long trip, would definitely recommend!”

“Elizabeth stayed at our house to pet sit for our senior kitty. Elizabeth gave picture updates and was communicative the entire time while we were away. When we arrived, our kitty had clearly gotten tons of care and attention! The house was also kept clean and tidy just like when we left. Will definitely be using Elizabeth on future trips!”

“Joel is the perfect dog sitter for our 13 year old Weimaraner. He does a great job caring for her and makes her very happy. We’re very lucky to be able to go out of town and not worry about our pet.”
“Ian was easily one of the best house/pet sitters I’ve ever worked with. The regular updates, asking questions instead of assuming and just his general demeanor make him a star candidate. I will absolutely be having Ian back to sit!”

About: I love dogs and have devoted myself to local animal rescue efforts. I call our home "The Cecchine Hotel for Dogs". Over the last 10 years, we have fostered 200+ dogs (and a few kittens). We currently have 4 senior dogs in residence. I have extensive experience with seniors and special needs dogs (ex-blind, deaf, tripod). I have delivered and raised 3 litters of rescue puppies. I really have experience with all shapes and sizes of dogs. I adore them all. I also care for a small flock of chickens and have "adopted" a pair of neighborhood cats who now spend most of their time enjoying my front porch. I am a self-employed writer with a very open and flexible schedule. I am a fit person who enjoys getting outside and walking every day. Snuggling a dog is literally my therapy. I have a decade of experience caring for dogs who are coming to me from very stressful situations (running stray, confinement in a shelter, or surviving the death of a loved one). I think of myself as a dog social worker. I try to understand what they need and how they can feel safe and confident. I provide a safe and consistent environment. I have house-trained and leash-trained more dogs than I can count. I only use positive reinforcement, and I am very patient.
“Janna was great! She came by to meet our dogs before we scheduled our trip. The boys seemed to really like her. She asked good questions to get clarification on our instructions. When it came time for her to sit with the boys we had lost our old boy. So, she only had to take care of our young dog. He can be a real handful. She let us know she played outside with him and took him for several walks during the day. We are pretty sure he felt like a king! Some of our plans were cancelled and we did not have to rush back home so we asked if we could adjust the time she would be there. She was very flexible. Since we were returning the same day as planned only many hours later than planned, she returned late in the day to let him out. Not only did she let him out, she took him for another walk. Way above the call of duty! When we got home, Dugan was happy and relaxed. Janna left the house in great shape. She wash sheets - something I did NOT expect but truly appreciated. We were looking for a new "Go To" dog and house sitter and she fits the role perfectly. We will definitely be using Janna again.”

“Karen is phenomenal!! Our 3yo doodle LOVED her, as did we😊 From our first interaction through watching our girl she was truly one in a million!!! She is proactive, thoughtful, excellent communicator, on time, flexible, responsible, caring with exceptional knowledge about dogs. We traveled from CO to NOLA for Jazzfest and she was happy to stay in our trailer at the EV park with our girl. Wish we could give her 100 stars 🌟🌟🌟for her stellar service!!! Thank you so much Karen, you are a true gem 🩵”

“Cheryl was absolutely amazing with Pearl and her cat brother Louis! She sent me pictures and updates, went above and beyond and took care of a lot of details that I hadn’t even considered. I felt completely comfortable having her in my house. She left it in great shape to and it was clear that the critters loved her. She even took Phroto to the dog park and let her play with her own for babies. She’s wonderful I can’t wait to use her again.”

“Joree was super sweet and communicative. Quick responses and very flexible. Left my place looking tidy and with a happy pup to come home to :) Highly recommend and will use again!”

“I never write reviews because I like to maintain my privacy. Nevertheless, it would be an absolute crime if i did not leave a review for Bianca. She is a top tier sitter. She created daily reports on how my fur babies did each day; sending me pictures throughout the day. She kept my house spotless, but most importantly my fur babies happy. She took them on multiple walks and I could tell they now miss her since we have returned. She will now be my 1st choice every time i use Rover. Thank you Bianca!”

“Stacy has stayed with my two dogs twice and both times have been perfect! She is great with both my dogs, provides pictures and feedback and keeps me updated regularly throughout each stay. Looking forward to booking with her again!”
“This was my first time using Rover and an overnight sitter. Carly was excellent! She kept in touch about how my dog was doing and made me feel comfortable. She kept to the dog's schedule perfectly and my indoor/outdoor cat even came inside to hang out - which he usually doesn't if I am not home. My home was immaculate when I got back and both pets were happy and healthy. I will 100% use Carly again to watch my pets when I am out of town. I highly recommend her for all of your Rover needs.”

“Catherine was wonderful with my two dogs and cat! Loved getting all the photos and videos and knowing all my animals we’re having a great time with Catherine! I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!”

“Khalifa is great. She treated my pets with care. I have a senior dog so I’m always worried about him, but I felt at ease after the first day. Highly recommend.”
“Ashley took amazing care of our two dogs. Provided us with so many photos and updates and just went above and beyond. She made us feel completely comfortable that our dogs were in great hands while we were out of town. Couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Xander was an amazing sitter for my dog and cat while I was away for a week by providing prompt and regular communications and lots of sweet photos and updatesI felt completely at ease knowing my fur babies were being taken so well taken care of. I look forward to working with you again! Thank you!”

Seventh Ward pet parents share their Rover experiences
David came highly recommended by a close friend who has trusted him for years to care for their pets while they travel frequently. From the moment I met him during a meet-and-greet at Brodie’s favorite dog park, I could tell he was genuinely kind and incredibly comfortable around dogs. He built rapport with Brodie right away. Before our trip, David also took the time to visit our home and familiarize himself with the space and surrounding area. He asked all the thoughtful, practical questions you’d expect from an experienced and responsible dog sitter, which immediately gave me confidence. While we were away for a week, it was clear David went above and beyond. Through our home security system, we could see him consistently playing with Brodie, taking him on daily walks (at least twice a day), and giving him plenty of attention and care. It was obvious they formed a great bond. When we returned, not only was Brodie happy and well cared for, but our home was in excellent condition. David kept everything clean, maintained the pool, and even watered our plants daily—details that did not go unnoticed. This experience proved to us that David is someone you can trust 100%. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring pet care.

Caroline was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of Jasper, Max, and Stella and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. On top of that, we came home to a house that was even cleaner than when we left it. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone!

Emily was amazing!!! She took such great care of Scout while were here visiting NOLA! She took tons of photos and even took him out to lunch. Scout fell madly in love with her and we will be booking again with her soon. Do not hesitate to hire Emily! She is the best dog sitter we have ever had! 🐾♥️
High praise for Sloan (Josephine S). She is wonderful with my dogs, a senior lady and a big goofy working breed puppy. She fed them and gave them their medication, took them for walks, and looked after our house. It was a great comfort to have a sitter who is smart, observant, and reliable staying with them.
