About: I’ve been caring for pets for a few years, mostly for close friends and family. Whether it’s feeding, walking, or just keeping them company while their family is away, I’ve always treated pets as my own. I often help with housesitting and babysitting as well, so I’ve learned to also juggle multiple responsibilities. I’m currently home for the summer from college, although as back to school season starts, my last day in Bakersfield will be September 15th. With no current academic commitments, I am able to build my daily routine around the pets I care for! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always do my best to keep their routines as normal and comfortable as possible. I’m not afraid to ask clarifying questions about your pets to ensure I am giving them the best care. :)

About: I’ve had at least 5 years of experience sitting for friends and family. I’m going to college and studying to be a Veterinarian. I volunteer at Kern County animal shelter, and my main task is cleaning puppy cages, so I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I am a college student at CSUB, studying to be a veterinarian. During the Summer, I have a lot of free time while still maintaining good availability during the school year. Even if I have classes, I would still be able to check on an animal every day. I make sure to remove anything that could potentially harm an animal (Sago Palm for cats) and if they enjoy going outside, to always have them on a leash and in my sight.

“Callie has been truly one of a kind. This is my 2nd time booking with her and needless to say, we’ve found our permanent cat sitter. She’s very easy to book, comes to meet your pet before the actual visit to introduce herself, and is VERY friendly with cats (and dogs)! She sends regular updates, is very punctual with the schedule, spent a great amount of time with our little guy, and sent daily photo updates. She cleaned up the litter on the floor and even updated the water dispenser in our absence. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and will 100% book with Callie again.”

About: Hey pawrent! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over twelve years of hands-on experience in pet care. I currently live with three dogs, two cats (who I love dearly despite my allergies!), and I’ve also cared for other companions such as a parrot, a horse, and two sheep. I know every pet is unique, and my top priority is to create calm, positive experiences tailored to fit each animal’s needs and personality. Whether you have a playful puppy, a wise senior dog, or a nervous rescue, I’ll meet them with patience, kindness, and respect. I’m happy to follow your care routine closely, and I’m always open to learning new tools, techniques, or routines that will help me care for your beloved pet the way they deserve. Skills & Experience: -12+ years of experience feeding, grooming, entertaining, and caring for animals -Experienced with dog, cat, parrot, horse, and sheep care -Seniors: administering pills, special dietary needs -Puppies: frequent potty breaks, redirecting nipping/chewing -Familiar with behavioral challenges, especially dog reactivity and body language cues -Basic training skills such as wait, sit, down, and paw -Knowledgeable about pet safety: resource guarding, grooming do’s/don’ts, calm handling -Optional photo & behavior updates for pet parents who want to stay in the loop -Always respectful of your preferences, happy to give space or stay in close contact I am a part-time student, but since it is summer break, I have a lot of free time. I care for my grandma most weekdays, so I'm usually unavailable around her meal times. But other than that, I am usually available from 1pm to 6pm, and 7pm to 12am on weekdays. Weekends are the most flexible for me. Please don't hesitate to check with me. If you let me know your plans, I can usually modify my schedule to accommodate yours. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize safety, consistency, and comfort. I follow the client’s instructions carefully, whether that’s a checklist, a routine, or specific steps for entering and locking up. While this is certainly a fun job, it is a job I also take seriously. I strive to treat you, your pet, and your house with the utmost respect. I know that having a new person in the home can be stressful for some pets. I adjust my body language and tone to match what they need; some pets want excitement and affection right away, while others prefer a quiet presence and space to warm up. I never force interactions and always build trust at their own pace. I carefully observe your pet’s body language and give them the kind of presence they need to feel safe, whether that’s gentle head pets, playtime, or just existing with them. I’m especially mindful of reactive or anxious pets and will always give them the space and patience they deserve. To me, trust is built by respecting your pet’s unique boundaries and needs without judgment.

About: With years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets, I provide loving, reliable attention while you’re away—treating your furry family like my own. I’m studying to be a vet tech, attend college three days a week, and train at a clinic yet I’m flexible and committed to pet care. I prioritize safety, create a calm and loving environment, and treat every pet with care and respect earning your trust every step of the way.

“Maribel was wonderful and we will definitely book with her again. This was my first time booking with Rover and I was nervous to have a stranger come in the home and leave my fur babies with a someone I didn't know. Maribel set up a visit to meet us and our dogs and I quickly felt comfortable with her. The dogs warmed up to her immediately and the daily notifications of check ins and photos put our mind at ease. Thank you Maribel, Olive and Arlo look forward to booking with you again soon. :)”

“Heidi took good care of my dog. Guala has just gotten spayed and I needed someone to watch her while I left town, Heidi watched her and gave her medicine. She updated me with messages and pictures, and my baby looked so happy. Her house was clean and looked safe for my dog. She is the most trustful person to leave your pets with. I am so happy with the care that she provide and now I know who to leave her with next time.”

About: I have experience caring for special needs animals and always follow instructions precisely. I’ve lovingly cared for all kinds of critters, both big and small. I’m currently on break from college but come August I will be picking up a full-time schedule. Definitely have enough time till end of summer. About: Animals have always been a strong love of mine. Not only have I been a dog owner from the age of 3 and own 6 furbabies of my own, I have also been a horse owner, avid equestrian, and a 4H sheep owner that won Reserve Grand Champion 2 consecutive years showing them at the Kern County Fair. Providing the same love and care to your pets as I do my own is my top priority. I have experience in all ages and conditions including but not limited to: -New pups -Old pups -Blind pups -Diabetic pups I currently work full-time as a medical scribe with the goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. The great part? My workday starts early and ends early, leaving me with the perfect early morning, afternoon, and evening hours to dedicate to pet care. Daily walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles all fit smoothly into my routine, and I love having that quality time with pets after a busy morning. Weekends are even more flexible, which allows for longer stays, extra play, or extended house sitting when needed. Caring for animals brings a great balance to my week—and a lot of joy too! I treat your space with the same respect I treat my own. I keep things tidy, follow all routines to the letter, and make sure your pet feels safe and relaxed in their familiar environment. I keep you updated with daily pics, videos, and little notes on how your pup is doing! When walking, I’m big on safety—leash rules, paw checks, water breaks, and always watching for dog’s body language. My goal is a happy, tired, and content pet after every visit.

“Glenda took phenomenal care of our Maya. She stopped by before the first visit just to get to know Maya a bit… we came home a few days later to a happy, calm and relaxed Belgian Malinois. This is a big deal! She’s a natural dog whisperer, trustworthy and prompt. Thank you, Glenda!”

“Jimmy took a great care of our furry babies. It was our first time using Rover so we were a little bit anxious... For no reason. He did great job, our cats were in the good hands. We will be booking him for future! Thank you, Jimmy 🐈⬛ 🐈”

About: I have had a dog of my own for 6 years now. Some more in past years. I have taken care of my friends and families pets for years now. Pets can be scared and intimidating but I know that with my love and patience with pets they do become comfortable with me. I work with kids, but my schedule is really flexible and I have breaks in between each client which gives me the opportunity to check up on pets. I have a fenced yard with two dogs. One of them is Charlie, a poodle/shih tzu, who is super sweet and the other dog is my sisters, who is a Rottweiler named Blue. Blue and Charlie are both sweet dogs. Blue is very energetic and playful and has never been aggressive as well as Charlie. Charlie mainly stays in my room in his kennel and Blue stays separated from the backyard and stays in the side area or in his kennel in the garage. All pets have always been separated but do give them opportunities to play with each other often and supervised.

Vanessa M.
“During our 21 year old, senior cat’s last days, Vanessa ensured our cat was comforted and cared for. Our loving senior was fed, loved, and watched after with the utmost attention and care. We know it is harder for people to want to care for senior animals as they have become fragile, sedentary, and overall have lost their young cuteness. Vanessa instead let our sweet angel take her time, playing with and petting her gently. She also made sure our tiny senior was fed around the clock, making sure to prepare her special diet thoroughly (she had oral surgery twice with teeth removed both time). I would recommend Vanessa for all animal needs. She is intuitive, attentive, and meets all demands you might have for your fur baby.”
