I would not trust anyone else except her to care for my fur babies. She cares for all animals as if they are her children. She doesn’t have kids but by the way I’ve seen her care for animals, I know she will be an amazing mother to her own kids. Very loving and caring person with the biggest heart. She tries to take home every animal she sees!”

“Nena watches my 5 year old Shiba Inu while I am at work or go out of town. I am very protective of who enters my home or watches my pet and I have no issues with her being in my home and around my dog without me being there. Nena is great, reliable and friendly. Communicates about everything and gives you a report on how your dog did for the day or visit. She follows specific instructions if needed and asks questions before doing anything not listed. Highly recommend!”

About: I have a big heart for animals. I grew up on a horse ranch, where my family worked closely with a rescue to rehabilite and re-home at risk Mastiffs and Akitas. I have an extensive understanding of animal behavior. In addition to growing up around animals, I have several years of experience with specialized dog training (including 2 years training service dogs for people with disabilities) and behavioral rehabilitation for large breeds. I also have several years of experience working with puppies under 1 year old and 15 years of experience with large-giant breed dogs. I am certified in Dog and Cat CPR and First Aid and I have 2 years of experience working as a Mobile Veterinary Technician. I also have 3 years of experience managing a dog and cat grooming and boarding facility and have worked with various animal rescues/nonprofits throughout the years. Due to my extensive experience with animals, I am able to provide generalized and more specialized care for your furbabies, including administering oral medications as needed and tending to unique dietary needs. I am currently working part-time during the week, but am available Mondays after 10am, Wednesdays after 2pm and Fridays after 4pm, as well as weekends. I have open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. My availability should be opening up to include full days on Monday and Tuesday soon. Please be patient with me. Sometimes I may not be able to answer right away, but I will get back to you within the day. I work in a high security position during the week. I will follow your typical routine and any special requests to keep your animals most comfortable, as I understand that sudden changes can cause undue stress to animals, especially as they age. I provide walks and/or outside time time based on your current routine and/or the age of the dog. For example, I make sure puppies are taken out regularly at intervals appropriate for their age in months, as well as monitoring them for signs that they need to go outside again between walks. I keep active animals physically and mentally engaged using toys and puzzles (as they are available) so your furbabies don't get into trouble while you're away. I am a big fan of positive reinforcement training and can help encourage positive behaviors through this method using toys and/or treats as available, but this is not a substitute for working directly with a trainer and will not be the focus of care. When they're all tired out, I love all of the snuggles! I am very detailed in the care that I provide and I offer this service because I truly LOVE working with animals. I do not currently offer boarding or daycare in my personal home.

I don't know this man from Adam and was in an bit of an emergent need for a sitter with a LOT of patience, a kind temperament, and who wouldn't be scared of my dog for aggressively baking at what is obviously a stranger in his space. I'm also a Rover sitter so I know I only want folks to care for mine how I care for others' and he 100% exceeded all my hopes!!! Will absolutely hire any time!!!”
