About: Hello, I'm Rachel! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME: Hi everyone! I’m Rachel. I have one amazing Husky Lab mix named Maya. I pet-sit and dog walk through Rover because I enjoy it SO MUCH! It's so much fun to be able to meet other dogs (and other animals and people!) through Rover. I have over 20 years of experience living with and loving all sorts of pets and hope to keep pet sitting and dog walking for years to come. I work full time from home and I have a somewhat flexible schedule so I can try to meet your pet’s needs. You will also receive photos from me of your pet(s) by text and through Rover so you can see how they are doing! About: I got my first dog when I was 12 years old and have had pets every since! I've had everything from dogs to fish! We even had a scorpion when I was little. I'm a stay at home mom dog to my Great Dane! I make sure he is always well stimulated with toys play time and walks! I even go on doggy play dates! I care for all pets as my if they were my own kid. About: I've handled and taken care of many pets for a long time, ever since I was in elementary school. I have primarily worked at an animal hospital with veteranarians in the clinic while assisting them, administering medication when needed, managing the boarding facility, and deep cleaning. I've worked with dogs and cats from bottle fed all the way to senior care. I'm also very experienced with bird care which is a plus. I love that our kitties are getting to know Lora! When we returned home, they were very calm, not needy, and clearly were well taken care of - and this is the norm since we started with Lora as our pet sitter last year. I also appreciated Lora making an interesting observation about the timing of the visits and how interactive our more outgoing cat is, related to the time of day. It'll be interesting to explore that. As an attestation to Lora's professionalism, persistence, and warmth, the other cat is a former feral who keeps her distance but in photos looks relaxed and clearly has warmed to Lora in her own former feral "distancing but throwing warm looks" Lora's way. This is high praise from Jenny the cat! We greatly appreciate Lora"s work with both of them and trust her implicitly.
