“Mikayla is great! Her communication is excellent, and she did a great job of giving one of our kitties his medication, which can be difficult. We are glad to have found her!”

About: I have taken my mother's lab to trips to the groomer as well as getting her to be patient during bath time. I also taught her to wait for her food to be poured before eating, taught her a few tricks such as, sitting, speaking, and how to walk beside me appropriately on a leash without dragging. I only work part-time for the rest of the year, so my schedule is quite available. I have availability Mondays - Thursdays all day. I can also do overnight stays as well! I have my senior cat roam anywhere in the house, he is mainly outside. However, due to his old age, he is fragile and I don't want to change routine too much, he also needs lots of my attention and affection while I am home. I am willing to come to you instead! reducing the hassle of having to drop-off!
“Jillian is so thoughtful and kind! I knew my little catdude was well taken care of and comfortable. She sent lots of vids and updates throughout and made sure he was well fed and had lots of treats. 10/10 experience!”

“Yolanda is genuinely fantastic!!! First of all, she’s so kind and you can tell she truly loves animals and people. She came and met our furry family and was very attentive to the details of how to care for them. Prior to our vacation, she checked in and was very communicative and excited to come and stay. I sent a few videos via the app on some updated protocols with the kitty meds, and she was on it! While she was here, she sent sweet pics of our kitties and kept us posted. Our cats are “elders” and needs meds, and she did a great job handling all of it! She left our house spotless and communicated prior to heading out as well. I would HIGHLY recommend Yolanda to care for you furry family ❤️🙏”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with five years of hands-on pet-care experience and four cats of my own. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs, including feeding, walking, playing, cleaning litter boxes, and following each pet’s normal routine. I can also trim cats’ nails and brush both cats’ and dogs’ teeth. I’m patient with nervous animals and understand that every pet needs time to feel safe and comfortable with someone new. I also volunteer with the SPCA, which has given me even more experience around animals with different personalities and needs. Pet care fits very well into my weekly schedule. I’m available throughout the day on Sundays and Mondays, as well as Friday and Saturday evenings. I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship while following your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, grooming, and household routines. I keep doors and gates secure, maintain clean food and water bowls, clean litter boxes thoroughly, and give each pet the level of attention or personal space they prefer. I’ll also send regular photos and updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I grew up caring for household pets & greatly enjoyed it. I am a dedicated animal lover, with years of experience in dog walking, playing, and general loving care for friends and family’s pets. I feel strongly that animals need to get sufficient play time in order to feel properly nourished in their lives. I also have experience with senior dogs, dogs with muzzles & dogs with special needs. I have been house and pet sitting across the country on & off for the last 5 years. I am an entrepreneur & work from home. My schedule is flexible & I can almost always adapt to your scheduling needs. I am currently in between vehicles and relying primarily on public transportation & the local shuttle system at this time. Many of my repeat clients offer me a vehicle or bike to use during my time caring for their pets if it is necessary for the duties I’ll be performing. I have been on Trusted Housesitters for over 4 years with excellent reviews and experiences. I have also house and pet sit for many friends and family. Given my large resume of experience, I decided to start on Rover to get paid for the excellent care that I offer. While staying in your home, I will treat your home like my own. Keeping all spaces clean and tidy for you to come back to. If you have any boundaries in your home please let me know, so I can be sure to respect all house rules. I am comfortable sleeping with animals on the beds or off, depending, of course, on how large the bed is if it’s an overnight sit. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
