“Roxy’s stay was so enjoyable. Carolyn has such a perfect place to keep your animal. They can stay outside if they would like too. Next time you need to board your animal call Carolyn H and book with her.”

“Joseph really did a great job taking care of our athletic and sometimes hard to handle dog. We received daily updates and pics during the stay. I could tell my dog was relaxed and really did't get in a hurry to leave when I picked up. It was clear all his needs were met during the stay. Great place for pets to stay!”
“She took such great care of my pup, making sure he felt comfortable and right at home even while away from me. He came back completely exhausted in the best way possible from all the fun he had, and now he’s getting some well-deserved rest. I was also so grateful for the photo updates she sent along the way to keep my mind at ease. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again next time I need a sitter”

“I am very happy and grateful for the way Sarah handled our dog during the stay at her home. She was very knowledgeable and definitely kind. For any future boarding I will look for her.”

“This was Chico's first stay and he had a great stay. We received pictures and comments every day. He had other dogs to play/socialize with - which was perfect for him since he is usually very shy with other dogs... But not anymore :)”

“Sofia did great. She was kind and showed patience and understanding with my nervous dog. He has anxiety so its important for us that we know he's being taken care of and shown the same kind of love we show him. We have an older dog as well, so Sofia's experience and knowledge go a long way in caring for our pets. I would definitely recommend her and will be using her again in the future.”

“Jiao was the best pet sitter we have ever had!! She fed all the treats to my senior pup and she even came home with a little handkerchief and bows on her ears! We will most certainly be using her again in the future.”

“Alejandra and her crew were awesome. Highly recommend! She is dog people and was able to handle my guy when he got there overwhelmed. My doggos were very happy campers! Thanks.”

“This was my first time leaving Bear with anyone, and am happy to say it was a great experience. Bear is still a puppy but Liying reassured me most of the time in which made me feel very comfortable and sent pictures throughout the day. Bear had a great experience as well, and became more confident with other dogs as well. Great Experience!”

“Thank goodness for Kristy. She was recommended to me by my other sitter who was unavailable. I was so nervous leaving my doggy for a week just after she had to have surgery for the first time. Kristy was very attentive to her needs and was able to help her through her recovery just the way she needed. I received daily updates from her, which made me feel so much better! I would recommend her to anyone looking to have their pet stay in a loved, relaxing home. Thank you Kristy!”

“Stacey was absolutely amazing. Her and her animals made Teddy feel right at home and all the photos she sent of Teddy’s sleepover was greatly appreciated. Teddy had a blast!”

“This was my first experience using Rover and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. My dog can be very intimidating at first since she isn't very friendly initially, but that didn't phase Angela. She made my dog very comfortable in the meet and greet and my dog remembered her when we came back for our stay (I was surprised). During the stay she updated me regularly (once or twice a day) on how the animals were doing with texts and pictures. She let me know when they had a slight confrontation and handled it very professionally. My only wish was that she would have walked the two together again after they had calmed down from the confrontation, but I understand the dilemma. Our dog came back tired (which is a feat as she is extremely high energy). Over I am extremely satisfied with my dog's stay with Angela and she will be going back when we next go out of town.”

“I had my two dogs boarded with Amy for 4 days. She took a great care of them, and they seemed adjusted well and had a great time away from home. She kept updated on how they did. I will have no problem leaving my precious family members to her again.”

“I booked them to take care of my 10 month old golden retriever Kai for 6 days. definitely recommend having them as your pets care taker! they sent me videos and updates of my day everyday and they also picked him up and dropped him off! amazing service!! and i will definitely book with them again!”

“Kristina took care of my dog very well. Our dog was well cared for and we got daily updates and photos. She charges very reasonable price and glad I found an affordable pet care near my house in Katy.”

“This family was amazing! They were very responsive when I had questions before the booking and they communicated each day during my dog's stay with them. My dog has lymphoma and they already had experience giving meds and were happy to do it. I love that they only watch dogs from 1 family at a time. They are all very kind are caring and I'm grateful to have found them!”

“Sheyla was great with our baby and took good care of her. This is our second time using her services and we will be returning. Our baby was happy and we received regular updates with pictures.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sealy home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sealy.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Sealy sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
