“Yvonne was great with our dog Chopper. We couldn't take him with us for the holidays and after a desperate search for the right match, we chose to board him with Yvonne. We were quite anxious to leave him behind for a week but from the start Yvonne was very accommodating, reassuring and great at communicating before and during boarding plus she patiently guided us through our first experience with Rover. Yvonne's house is very clean, spacious and has an awesome enclosed yard and safe neighborhood for walks. Her lovely dog Ziggy kept Chopper company and overall the process felt like leaving our dog with a good friend. I can highly recommend trusting Yvonne with your dog.”

“Daniel was great. We reached out last minute and he was very accommodating. He responds very quickly and shared plenty of pictures of miso. Miso was exhausted after his 2 day sleepover. We highly recommend and will definitely use Daniel again.”

“Juan was great! Was our first time leaving our pup (She’s 1 and a half) and he answered all of our questions and was very patient. Juan sent us many photos during her stay (even though it was only one night) which we really appreciated. My dog seemed to take a liking to Juan and the environment was fun and playful. He’s very trustworthy and I would leave my dog with him again!”

“Alissa and her fiancé are very sweet & kind. Such a welcoming & safe home. They were very attentive to my dog’s needs and even with other pups that were there, they made sure mine were taken care of properly. She has a great set up to separate any feedings, go out at any time if needed. They were happy overall! I will definitely have them watch them again in the future!”

“Narly was great from start to end. Communication was excellent and the detailed updates (including pics) were frequent. I strongly recommend her for any boarding needs and will definitely use her in the future. Thanks again Narly.”

“Britany is great! She sent picture updates and let us know how Goose was doing while we were away. She cared about learning his routine and any concerns we had. Our dog came back exhausted (in the best way). Definitely will book with her again, could not have had a better experience!”

“Wendy, I cannot thank you enough for the loving care you have extended to our boy, Jack. I really appreciated the multiple pictures, videos and updates especially since we were out of the country. It was so clear that Jack was well taken care of and happy. I have no hesitation for Jack to stay in the future. 10 stars!”

“I can't say enough good things about Jasmine! She responded promptly to all of our messages, was flexible with pick up and drop off, and treated our little Daisy with such thoughtfulness and care. She quickly figured out some of Daisy's favorite activities, like sunbathing and bird watching, and sent us frequent photo updates that really put our minds at ease. We can tell Daisy had a wonderful time, and we would highly recommend Jasmine to anyone looking for a top-tier sitter!”

“Victoria is amazing! She made me feel so confident in leaving my dog with her! She is such an animal lover and was so communicative. She made sure Charlie was comfortable and welcomed into her home. She sent pictures and was constantly in touch! Hiring her again for December!”

“Fabulous communication and it was abundantly clear from our first meeting that Adriana understands dogs and their quirks. I feel lucky to have found someone with her compassion and knowledge, and look forward to working with her again!”

“Fatima made me feel super comfortable from the moment we dropped our puppy off. She sent pics and videos throughout the weekend as requested and it seemed like our puppy was having a blast the entire time. Highly recommend booking with Fatima. Our puppy will be back!”

“Ilona made an extra effort to help my dog adjust initially during his week long stay, which I really appreciate. He also seemed happy and well exercised. Thank you!”

“I have a 13 year old Chihuahua named Oakley, who has never been left with anyone outside of family. We planned a vacation and had no one available to watch Oakley, then someone told me about Rover.com. That’s where I found Denise. After a meet and greet, I can tell Denise had a true love of animals. I was no longer stressed about leaving Oakley with someone else. He was in a caring and safe environment, and was in very good hands. Denise always kept in touch, and sent pictures of Oakley often. I’m very pleased with the care Oakley got and recommend Denise highly.”

“Glad to have found Yinuo here. She was flexible and great to book. Provided updates and pictures/videos of Lulu during her stay. She really enjoyed staying at her place.”

We boarded our 1yo dog with Katsumi for 5 nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Katsumi was wonderful, clearly loves and cares for dogs and made our boy feel right at home. She was very accommodating to his personality and routine. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Katsumi for future day care and boarding! 💚

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
