About: Hey friends! 🐾 For over 3 years, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs through Rover, working alongside an experienced, highly rated sitter behind the scenes. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, building the knowledge and confidence needed to provide safe, reliable, and personalized care. I’ve decided to create my own Rover profile to offer my services independently and connect with more families in the Joplin area! About: I have ~5 years experience caring for all kinds of breeds of dogs and cats in a vet/boarding facility. Capable of administering oral medications to both cats and dogs. Capable of administering diabetic medication to both cats and dogs. Experience with special diets. Experience with disabled pets. (I know all the tips n’ tricks to making sure your fur baby can still have that full dog walking experience!) I have two cats. One is 3 and the other is almost 13 years old, and both still play together and act like kittens. They keep my heart filled and help me everyday to maintain a regular routine. So it’s not just me taking care of them, they also in a way take care of me every day. I will care for them as I would any animal. With patience and love. Obviously some need a lil more patience or love and that’s okay. I will never hesitate to make sure an animal is well cared for.

About: I have had pets all my life and can’t imagine life without them. I’m one of those people who sees a dog and gets excited. My own 4 dogs and 1 cat are my world. I have experience with dogs who have seizures, dogs who have liver shunt disorders and dogs with anxiety issues. I know how hard it is to find a sitter when I have to go out of town. I would love to give pet owners the peace of mind they need to enjoy their time away. Now that I have retired from teaching, my availability has increased. I’m available for twice daily visits/walks. If you’re in the Carthage area, I can do more than 2 visits if needed. As retired teacher, I am now able to do twice daily visits and more if you live in the Carthage area. I can do mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. I would love to care for pets in their own environments. I would take the time to spend with them making sure they are loved and cared for as if they were my own.

About: I've taken care of several dogs and cats for friends and neighbors, whether that's just checking in or staying overnight. I am avaliable to accompany the pets for extended hours or days. Pet sitting is my full time job, so I am usually available whenever! I'm able to either stay with the pets or check on them periodically. I am able to watch pets at a client's house, always keeping an eye on them and making sure they're doing alright. I prefer visiting and/or staying in their environment, making sure the pets more comfortable and less stressed.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
