About: Growing up, my family always had dogs and cats. Today animals continue to be an important part of my life. I'm a board member of a local humane society and volunteer weekly at the shelter. I also help with low-cost spay/neuter clinics, where I've worked with cats and dogs of many ages, sizes, personalities, and comfort levels. I know every dog is different. Some want long walks and lots of playtime. Others prefer a slower pace and plenty of affection. I take the time to learn your dog's routine, personality, and needs so they can feel comfortable and secure while you're away. Friends and colleagues describe me as dependable and patient. About: I have grown up on a mini sheep farm which we shown and exhibited all of these animals including chickens, ducks, rabbits and sheep at the local fair. And of course we had a guard dog to protect our animals. I have dog sit multiple times before by just helping out my friends and family, now I am excited to meet some new pets! I am a UWSP student with long breaks in between semesters. During the breaks I come back home to visit my family and to work. Each week is a little bit different for me, but I will always have time for your pets! One of my favorite things to do with pets (mostly dogs), is to take them on a walk and enjoy the nice outside with them!

MY BACKGROUND: At an early age while growing up on five acres in the country, I was often taking care of a variety of animals, including our dogs and many barn cats. I was a bit of a cat Momma, often times assisting with extra care like bottle feeding or treating illnesses as they came. Eventually I started taking care of our neighbors animals when they were away. Throughout childhood I had several special cats that became my indoor pets & my first adopted dog at the age of 13. After high school I worked at a stable. My ‘Cat Whisper’ abilities came in handy while here- tending to the cats & ensuring the kittens grew up & had a chance to be healthy, loved barn cats. As a young adult, I cared for my two indoor cats & my Boxer puppy - a dream come true. ADDITIONALLY: I have almost 10 years of experience as a CNA and have completed 1 year of nursing school. You can feel confident knowing that your pet is in capable hands. I’m currently working from home & homeschool my daughter, allowing my weekdays to be flexible. I’m also home most weekends. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in care, walks, and extended care. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been around animals my whole life. Whether it be my home, family, or friend’s homes. All of my life we have had a pet in the home. But I’ve been around anywhere from dogs and cats to birds, horses and bearded dragons! Ive also been around dogs that can be aggressive and territorial and I did well being patient and getting them to trust me. I have a pretty set schedule! I work Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm. I tend to have free time on the weekends and during the week after work. I’ve always loved animals and have some of my own, plus going for walks is something I do already! I prefer to care for pets in the owners home since that is where they are comfortable and have their own things. It is a priority for me to keep the animal on their usual routine and keep them happy and comfortable.

About: I lived on a farm when I was a little one. Later, I was a trusted house sitter for relatives when they traveled (watching the home and taking care of 2 dogs and 2 cats). I owned my own cat for 15 years. I've taken care of farm animals but not on a regular basis. I'm competant with delivering meds and being really careful with senior pets and those needing special care. I'm one of those people who talk to pets like they are people. I can be there for the extra play and snuggles puppies need, but I think the initial potty training should be by their owner. I carefully listen to the owners and what their schedule is like. Then I morph my schedule to be very close to that so the routine is similar with me and their pet. I adhere to the pet owners instructions. I make myself available for the pet so we learn to trust each other. I show lots of affection, if the pet wants to receive it. If not, I can give them space.
