“Emily was just wonderful! Our birds took to her right away. She provided excellent care, sent tons of pictures and communicated frequently. She was so attentive and caring, provided a lot of interaction and took care of them so well. They just loved her. We will definitely use Emily again!”

“The girls always enjoy their stays with Tess! She communicates well, sends lots of photos, and gives them love. I will continue to use her whenever I need someone I can trust with my pups!”

“Katelyn was awesome! She took excellent care of my two dogs and my home. She sent photos and video of my pups multiple times a day, kept me informed, and even dealt with arriving packages, watering my plants, and other various tasks. Upon returning home, I found happy, healthy dogs and my house spotless and clean. I would most definitely book Katelyn again in the future!”

About: I have been pet sitting and taking care of pets ever since I could drive. I have also been raised around pets my entire life and they have been treated like Family and I cannot wait to treat your pets like they are my own. I have worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I love keeping them active or giving cuddles whenever they’re having a lazy day. Right now since it’s summer I am free during the day and most evenings! Once school starts back up I will be available in the afternoons and evenings! Of course I will always be available for overnight work, unless I am out of town! When watching a pet in their home I work to keep their schedule and routine and similar as possible whenever their family is home. I also try to add in some play time outside and walks! If needed I can clean up around the house as well! Dog families will truly never run out of pet hair ha! If a pet is staying at my home, they will be treated like family. I will bring familiar toys over for them and a favorite blanket! They will have the opportunity to play outside as I have 5 acres of land. If they need to be on a leash that is no problem! Pets that I am coming over to check on during the day/giving walks to will be active with me outside for the time that I need to be there! I love walks and being outside! If it’s a senior pup or one that hates being outside I will work to get them outside for a few minutes at a time and never push them out of their comfort zone!
“This was my first time leaving my doggo with strangers but Blake seemed to understand my anxiety around it. He responds quickly and professionally to questions and sent pics several times during the stay. My pup was so happy when I got home and clearly well taken care of. My home was also as clean when I returned as when I left. Highly recommend.”

“Anna was amazing with our dachshund and our cat. Her comnunication was consistent and her professionalism was impeccable. Our furry babies were relaxed and happy when we came home, so we know they were loved and spoiled while we were gone. We highly recommend Anna as a sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up alongside dogs and other animals and helped take care of them since I was young. When I was sixteen, my family adopted our puppy Sal at eight weeks old, and it was my responsibility to take care of him, train him, and love on him. From there, I volunteered at Almost Home animal shelter in Van Buren for two years, where I walked dogs of all sizes and weights, played with them, fed and cared for them, and cleaned out their kennels and bowls. As of now, I’m living away from my family dog since I’m in college, but I’m helping a friend of mine walk and train her newly adopted Cane Corso (she’s a sweetie). I’ve watched dogs for friends and family all through the years, as well. As far as cats go, I’ve loved them since I was a kid, and I adopted one two years ago! His name is Walter, he’s a tabby and the sweetest boy alive, and I love taking care of him, even if he shreds my arms sometimes. Pets need love and patience, and that’s exactly what I have for them. :) I’m currently out of college classes for the summer, so my schedule is very flexible! I can work with any requests you send me, so long as we have ample time to discuss everything you’re looking for. I can easily adapt to your pet’s regular schedule, including mealtimes, bedtime, medication, if they need to be crated, playtimes, etc. The comfort and happiness of your pet is my first focus.
“Rachel took great care of our dog! She watched him for 4 nights and she sent a lot of photos to keep us updated. She spent a lot of time with him and made sure he was well taken care of!”

“Lauren was the sweetest and made our pups feel like they had family keeping them. We never worried because of her check-ins and she was wonderful with our 1 year old Shihtzu and our 11 year old lab/collie mix. We loved the photos and she made sure our dogs were so well taken care of. We would happily use her again!”

“Emma did a great job looking after my two pups! She was on time, provided great care to Milo & Cooper, and provided us with updated throughout the day! She even made sure the house was even cleaner than she found it. We will definitely be using Emma again and recommend you reach out to her the next time you need a dog/house sitter!”

“It was a pleasure to meet Olivia. She did a great job of watching our dog. She kept us informed and we appreciate the updates and pictures she sent. Our dog really liked her and we will definitely use her again.”

“Madelynn is absolutely fantastic. She is responsive, attentive, and a great communicator. I really appreciated her proactively checking-in and sharing photos of my dog throughout the day. It really put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy my vacation knowing my dog was so well taken care of. I am pretty sure she is my dog’s new BFF! I will definitely be booking her again and would highly recommend to anyone who needs a Rover.”

About: I have grown up with pets my entire life and have worked in multiple different animal industries. This list includes veterinary medicine for 3 years, volunteering for a rescue organization, and handling/ caring for 20+ sled dogs in Alaska. I often sit for my family and friends dogs whenever they travel. I am currently in school at the University of Arkansas but I am only taking classes Tuesday and Thursday. This leaves me free Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and the weekends to walk your pets or come hang out with them for a few hours. I currently live in a townhome so I will not be sitting at my house but I am able to care for your pet in whatever way they are used to.
“Katelyn is an excellent dog sitter. She responded quickly to all messages and stayed in contact with us throughout the weekend. We returned home to a very calm, relaxed and well cared for dog. I would recommend Katelyn to anyone needing a dog sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Savoy
My boys loved having Rico to watch them and take such good care of them. He made a suggestion for my 16 year old almost blind and deaf boy who was scared to go outside and it worked! He sent great picture showing how much my doggies took to him and Rico seemed to show loving and caring for them as evinced by the caring down in his face.

FAQs for House Sitting - Savoy
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 548 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Savoy. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Savoy walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Savoy maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Savoy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Savoy. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
