About: Hi, I'm Emily! I have been an avid dog lover for as long as I can remember, and love pups of all shapes, sizes, and age. While living in Chicago I began walking a handful of dogs for a smaller walking/boarding company whose focus was mainly helping disabled or sick pet owners. This really piqued my interest in helping others take care of their 4 legged family members. From there I began volunteering at adoption and rescue centers through PAWS, where I mainly walked and cared for post-op dogs and cats. While working at PAWS was hardly glamorous, it was incredibly rewarding returning healthy animals back to their families. I understand how difficult and stressful it can get to be sure your pup is properly cared for, and would love to help you out as much as I can! My schedule is flexible to meet your needs. I can walk your pup in mornings and/or afternoons Monday through Friday. Weekend availability possible upon request. Our home has baby gates to keep furry friends on the first floor. The backyard is not fully enclosed, but we have a staked leash available.

About: What sets me apart is the combination of my lifelong experience caring for dogs and my commitment to treating every pup like my own. I’ve grown up around dogs and currently care for my energetic Australian Cattle Dog, so I understand the needs of both high‑energy breeds and pets that require extra patience. I’m attentive to details, reliable, and always ensure plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, including administering medications and making sure they’re comfortable on walks. For puppies, I provide gentle structure, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement to support their training. Whether it’s a quick potty break, a long walk, or extra cuddles, I adapt to each dog’s personality and routine so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they get the attention and exercise they need. I work a set schedule during the week, which allows me to plan pet visits and walks around my availability. Since I’m mostly doing this on the side, it gives me the flexibility to devote focused, quality time to each pet I care for. Whether it’s early mornings, evenings, or weekends, I make sure to carve out time for walks, play, and check‑ins so every pup feels cared for and loved. It’s not just a side job for me—it’s something I look forward to and enjoy fitting into my day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow the pet parent’s instructions closely to keep routines consistent and stress‑free. That includes feeding on schedule, refreshing water, administering any needed medications, and making sure they get the right amount of exercise and playtime. I also give plenty of love and attention—whether that’s going for a walk, playing fetch, or just relaxing together. I make sure to keep your home tidy and secure, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and safe while you’re away. My goal is to make your dog (or cat) feel comfortable, cared for, and loved—just like they would if you were there.

Emily & Ryan M.
“If you're searching for somebody to step up to the plate and take your dog out to do their business, walk them a little ways to the nearest park or grassy opening to play/let loose/run around, or just generally love on your precious little (or in some cases large) furball in your absence, then you will find no better-suited individual than Emily. Honestly, Emily's face belongs on a poster for "Most Ideal Dog-Walking Candidate". She spent multiple years of her life caring for (2) small horses, which some would call a boxer and a Great Dane, and is the first one to hold up a group of friends on the sidewalk to let them know there is a dog walking past that needs to be loved-on by a stranger. She's engaging, gentle, kind, punctual and most importantly she's reliable. You can trust her with your furry son or daughter as I would trust her with my life. Hire Emily. It's the right thing to do.”

Madison S.
“Madison has been helping care for my german shepherd for many years now. The duties she has helped complete include dog walking, short term dog watching and feeding along with all the subtleties of being a responsible caregiver. Occasionally she will even surprise me with a light brushing of my dog; which any long haired dog owner will know, can never be done enough.”
